Exactly! I get mad at people because some of them are abuse but when you are rude the people do not listen. When people are nice about it the person usually changes or tries to change

What I have learned from my guinea pigs: boxes are way more versatile and they love them way more than fake plastic ones, also they like cat toy balls(no catnip obvi)

I have just one guinea pig, he was a rescue, baby pig off the side of the road. we have tried bonding him the best we could-- 5 different pigs, gave them all a couple months with each other, but unfortunately he is just one of those super aggressive pigs who bites other pigs. Probably from the trauma, no clue what he went through in that tiny cage on the side of the road. I built him a 2x4, added a loft, he has tons of toys, hay, and veggies. He loves to lay in your lap and free roam my apartment. Just sad he isnt wanting to bond. But we are trying to give him the best life we can. Great video, plenty of good pointers
maybe get another set, and put their cage next to his? so he won’t be as lonely.
My old neighbor had 8 Guinea pigs in two separate large rooms, the rooms were enclosed and they were massive
I worked as her sitter for a while to help her clean, and you’d walk in and see them run around jumping just being extremely happy pets
Anyway I found out she recently passed and it broke my heart, so now I’m watching guinea pig videos. According to her FB her last two living piggies are with her vet/ best friend. I miss that sweet old women
Even for the cages that needed a lot of improvement she still found the good things about them and made sure all of her criticism was completely constructive❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lorelei isn't mean. She cares about the rabbits and if you get a pet, then you have to do the research yourself too. Don't get a pet without doing the research firs, because it's just selfish and unfair for the animal, honestly. lol Also, I like both Alyssa and Lorelei, because they love animals. But, don't say that Lorelei is mean, when she's just passionate about rabbits and wants what's best for them and is genuinely trying to help bunny parents give their bunnies the best lives. Plus, the people submitting photos of their terrible enclosures should have known better before posting and I feel like some post those bad ones just for clout and to troll, which is just as bad.

If you still haven’t or if you’re planning on expanding, just order the shoe organizer grids from amazon! Check the sizing to make sure it’s 14” and not 12” (it’s usually 14”). You’ll be able to get a lot of grids for really cheap! You can also buy coroplasts of all colors on there (people usually use them for garage sale signs) and overall it will be a lot less expensive than the C&C store.

Love seeing guinea pig videos! Since my last boy passed away I moved in with my partner who is allergic so I havent been able to have any more, he promised me that when we move into a our house with a garden we will get a heated shed where I can make them a super enclosure as he still thinks they are very cute! Hoping to get some adoption piggies!

We got two older males that needed a home and didn't get a long with each other - The breeder (we don't have rescues here) said she never had trouble pairing two males if one is older and other is a babypig. We paired our dudes with two very young guineas from the breeder and it went really well! There was a rowl when the young ones went through "puberty" and they had to decide who's boss but after that everything has been fine! Main thing is the cage needs to be big, two of everything and only one floor (so they won't go fighting over a second floor) ;)

I LOVE watching these videos because they are fun to watch and I am actually getting a piggie this Saturday I did so much research and got most of the necessities so yeah your videos really helped!
A piggie? as in singular? if you’ve watched even 1 video or done any researched any at all you would know that you have to get at least 2.

@@imbored4929 I'm sorry to I think I was being a bit harsh but I don't really comment on videos and when I do people are always criticizing me I get what you were talking about tho anyways, I have boys and there names are Milo and Bailey.
i finally convinced my parents if my sibling and i can get one guinea pig each & they said yes ! they were hesitant at first only because we use to have them, but we were like 12 years old then and did not know how to look after them properly.
after binge-watching advice and lots of videos on guinea pigs i’m properly aware of what guinea pigs need to live a happy healthy life 😊
by the way, we’re gonna find a pair that we can put together so we will have one each. i’m so excited !! also, we’re 19 turning 20. and we had to ask permission only because it’s our parents house and we’re under their rules until we move out.

Two of my sibling and I also managed to convince our guardian to allow us to have piggies. The three of us (aged 12 - 16) are going to look after two boys. I’m so excited, we’re going to make sure we get all the stuff before we get the boys.

I don’t even have guinea pigs but I love these types of video’s ❤️❤️
I have my 2 guinea pigs, males named Honey and Thorne. They're in a 6 by 2 enclosure with one of those fabric forests, 2 water bottles and 2 bowls. Them I have the one,1 by 2, with a bin thing and lots of hay. Thorne loves to dig through and bury himself in the hay. They've got several toys that I switch out with others every now and again. Also have a Terra cotta forage cup, one of those balls you put treats in as well as a forage mat that I put put when I bring them out. It has the floppy fabric peices and other little spots to put food or treats in.

she says they’re fine, just makes sure to cover them up COMPLETELY with another fleece, or some bedding. (not substrate) because if your piggies eat them they can get really sick. 😞 but i love puppy pads too!
I just added a cage that is 60" by 30"! I want guinea pigs but can't have them right now. I'm waiting and researching for the future!

I used to have a 4 by 4 kid pool with puppy pads and cloth covering the bottom. Sadly I downsized because it was taking up a shit ton of space and my baby never used the space. He just hung out in 1 area after his buddy passed away.

Yes I myself have 1 guinea pig and he is very aggressive towards other guinea pigs I have tried him with 2 other guinea pigs and he always fights so he’s my only one. Though I wish he could have a friend, but he is okay because he gets tons of treats and attention!

I would say that a lot of guinea pig toys have a lot of honey and sugar in them. I would recommend cardboard chew toys and non plastic hideys.
My guinea pig lives alone as when with other guinea pigs she will attack them! She is a rescue abt 2 years old but bc she lives along I give her lots of attention!! X ly

When I got my first two guinea pigs I wrote my mom an entire 5 paged essay on their needs and how to care for them. I was devoted. Unfortunately the original two passed away but there’s 3 left :)

I think to the person who has the 2x3 c&c Christmas cages...
If you get rid of the divider in the middle and use that as 1 cage for either the male or female then build a new cage the same size on top for the other Guinea Pig, then go to a rescue and get a male friend for the lil boy and a female friend for the lil girl but make sure the cage is not completely enclosed as it is now as it would not have enough ventilation for the Piggies in the bottom cage
Hi Alyssa!I was wondering if you could potentially give some tips on someone who wants to free roam their guinea pigs in their room,yet their mother isn't to on board,I already have a CNC cage for them and they get to run around my room whenever I'm not at school
im very surprized on the Benji picture you didnt say anything about that electrical cord right outside its cage plugged in. Pigs when theyre bored in their cage love to look outside the bars and see what they can chew. I would absolutely add something to block that from happening . my pigs love to grab things if theyre too close to their cage and chew them
My pigs are outside ones and I don’t use hay racks I just give them so run and nestled in !
