Where have I heard the dulcet tones of this narrator’s beautiful voice before? 😉 Happy New Year to you, the fam, and all the lads!
Sargon narrating awesome
I like all the R & D the framer and the shaper did.
Oh boy... That's one for the download folder on my phone to make my cardio workout epic.
Brave New Year, Carl!
Happy New Year and thank you for this gang! 🙏
Godt nytt år. Hedning.
Happy New Year to you.
What a wonderful surprise.
Great videos
As soon as i saw the title of this video i thought "Oooh i hope this is Carl narrating!"
Thankyou for this video
Starting 2024 on the right foot
Happy New Year.
Wow more than 4 hours, awesome!
Happy new year🎉🎉
I read this in college. Good times.
Heard about this in Pastwatch by Orson Scott Card, great book that you might wanna pick up if you like the topic. It's about people in the future that can observe the past and it center on Christopher Columbus.
What is the name of the book?
Happy New Year, everyone. I hope you all have an even more prosperous year 🥂
I love how Castilian Spanish lords get incorporated into their lordly lineages at the end. Wow.
Happy New Year 🎉🥄☕
It's nice to see Sargon having time to engage in side projects now that he's retired
Happy new year boys
Well hello there.
4 hrs 21 min? I'm going for it
some of these stories are actually hilarious
I gotta say, I really love the content of this channel. Really good to see a collection of ancient and historical literature.
But, and what I say is by no means a slight or meant as a snarky or insulting comment, and I will continue to listen to the works you put up on this channel;
But Carl does not have an enjoyable reading voice to listen to.
I don't know if it's the tamber or the badly placed inflection on sentence endings, or a combination of things.
But there is a noticeable "reading the words on the page" sound to it,
like a teacher with a child's book, with improper pauses and a start-stop off-rythme to the flow so kids can follow along.
Again, I am not saying this to be flippant or combative, I'm just simply pointing out a noticable flaw in the content.
I really enjoy channels like "Voices of the Past" and "Legendary Lore" or "Fall of Civilizations". They would be excellent examples to learn and improve from.
Either way, thanks for sharing this mass if works and it's really good stuff to get to hear.
Some of the themes here have a lot of similarity to other creation myths.

painful pronunciation, but worth it.
crushing ball court = threshing floor?
Veracocha Christ was before the New Testament
Make hooley hooley and hawly hawkey on your faces!
When I saw the title I thought it was from something in Latin like "the people's vuh"
🌹💐💐💐❤😇❤🌈🌈🌈🌹
Great to see Sargon/Carl doing this again. The names are probably butchered though.
Aslong as you dont say lakuna over and over again.
The narrator didn't even bother to learn how to pronounce any of the names 😂
He will even butcher the languages closest to English.
Zipyercock and Zmoocane
These native American languages are hard. if you read them you will never get it right unless you hear a native pronounce it. they have sounds that are not super hard to pronounce. but there is no equivalent in the Latin alphabet.
@@belstar1128 Nahuatl is certainly challenging to pronounce but if this guy has at least listened to the correct pronunciation a little before attempting this, it would have at least sounded better than just winging it.
these pronunciations make this version completely unlistenable. it's clear not even an attempt was made to learn them, which is tragic because they really aren't even that hard for English speakers.
Carl Benjamin strikes again
Happy new year 🎉
