    I'm sure it's also that he'd be bored of playing a song the same way on every tour, and of course wanted to give the crowd something new. It's pretty lame to play a song the same way ten years after it was created, I think he improved a lot of the old tunes.
    More Trouble Every Day, for example. The version from the best band you never heard is my favorite, for me it tops the roxy & elsewhere version. Scott Thunes, Wackerman, and FZ are so good, there's some telepathy going on for sure.

    Great version, I prefer NMB version on bongo Fury,got a beefheart sound on that 1, it's Epic, what a front man

    @7mikethebike i agree but zappa's solo-ing is SICK i think his band wasn't quite keeping up

    The version on Make A Jazz Noise Here is way better than the original. The 1988 band was also way better than the band in 1975.

    meh.. Zappa had more people coming and going from his band than you can count.. All of them were and are world class musicians.. ..different stuff happens with other people.. all of it's fun and all of it is good music. Zappa also liked experimenting with the latest toys and gear..

    hahahahahahahahahahaahha is it maybe that you haven't even noticed yet how zappa changed his own compositions adapting to whatever it was the personnel he had available????
