Would love to see them bring out retro versions of loads of old ones. All the Presto range, Chanjos etc and even the Ikoi! Loved the ikoi but they were soooo different
I totally had a pair back in college and got them from Transit….which was NYC go to sneaker spots in late 90’s early 2000’s.
I bought the air kukini as well. I bought every pair in high school. I’m buying every pair now. I will buy another pair on sale. I have 3 pairs now. Also have an all black pair

I remember having the kunini's with the full zoom air unit back in the 2000's in Japan, those are still by far the most comfy shoes I've ever owned.
The word kukini is Hawaiian and it refers to a group of men who were “runners” or “messengers” for the ali’i or chief class in ancient Hawaii.

I remember seeing these in a Japanese mag back in 2016. Fell in love with them but could never find a pair. I still can’t believe nike brought them back! Definitely gonna wait for the water pair to retro, those were my favourites
I had the OG's too,never thought Nike wud retro em but glad they did,I got the water colour less than half price,an acquired taste for sure but nostalgic for me,glad u got to relive ur youth & enjoy em again too

I love these. I finally have mine coming in the OG colorway. The five dots on the heel signify this is has presto DNA. I still need my Presto Tent.
Used to have a red and black pair when they first launched. Called them the Spider-Man shoes and Kukini is one of my all time fav. Air max tremble which was launched around the same time was super dope as well.

I ran track in college and I bought a pair of these to practice in back in the day. I loved to run in them. Used to enjoy doing my track work in them. Ran my first and only pair into the ground. When it was time to re up I couldn't find them anywhere. I was bumbed

I remember when those came out. I liked them but I wasn’t sure how well a lace less shoe would work out plus the air max had a similar color way so I never got ‘em.
I had pair which were similar!! They were bright yellow!! Don't think they had the air max bubbles though.... but I do remember the spider web design.
I try to find the Nike Air KUKINI previus to this with the straps and 2 colours Red/Orange and Yellow/Black at that time, but couldnt find my Size in SPAIN anywhere, and before internet worked not show good ... I was dreaming they launch it again, but they reissue this
I have those too. I wish they bring back the grasshopper colorway. I got the other colorway 1st, the neon yellow green but I wanted the glitch more so copped the glitch immediately. I was working in an ad agency in 2000 and a lot of us guys bought it. At least 7 of us had it. Oh the glow in the dark is very faint even if you charge it in sunlight. The manny pacquiao lights out trainers, those really glowed.

Just found a pair of poison darts at Burlington for 50 bucks, so comfy and the color is awesome. I’m usually a size 12. These are a 14 and they fit perfectly. Wouldn’t go true to size on these

I love prestos and these. But being broke I never could get them. I got the lemon venom colour retro wanted them from seeing they were coming out. I knew they would go on sale hard to resist but just held on until they went on sale and got them cheap people are missing out 😂
How’s the fit on them?
The Kukinis were the best shoes for sprint triathlons. You could slip them on quickly, and you didn’t even need to wear socks.
I bought the cheetah ones. I love these from back in the day too. Will get as many pairs as I can.

I had the og kukini in red/white/yellow colorway.. soooo comfy for that time. I wore them until they're broken.
And i also bought the kukini with free midsole, hoping they would be as comfy as the og.. but meh! Not comfy at all.. i blame the free midsole for that..

I actually bought these and the quality is bad! I bought another to see if I just got a bad pair and second one was slightly better… I’m returning both and will wait for them to go on sale… also I’m worried about that webbing part on top turning yellow overtime, so I may just avoid em all together.

@BEASTxMODE They fit pretty true to size, and fits as a narrow too. Much to my surprise they came out of the Nike Alpha Project all the way back in 2000, which the Presto was also part of! I can feel the similar material with the stretchy spacer mesh from the Presto on the Kukini too. I made the mistake of going half up for Huaraches but it cramped my pinky toes for awhile until the synthetic leather toe cap broke in. I'm going full up a size for Huaraches the next time.
Not sure I'd wear these, but I am feeling the retro typeface and the lavalamp design. $140 though, yikes.
