बहुत समय से ‘विग्रह’ शब्द का प्रयोग करता रहा हूँ जिसकी प्रेरणा मुझे श्री निम्बार्क काचरिया पीठ, किशनगढ़, अजमेर (राज) से मिली थी लेकिन इसका मूल अर्थ जानने की जिज्ञासा भी कई बार हुई। आज बहुत ढूँढने का मन हुआ तो खोजबीन में आपके इस वीडियो क्लिप पर पहुँच गया। बहुत संतुष्टि हुई और मूर्ति, प्रतिमा और विग्रह का सूक्ष्म भेद पता चला। आभार। साधुवाद।

बहुत धन्यवाद। कुछ और मैं जोड़ना चाहुंगा। इंग्लिश के संदर्भ में। अक्सर यह कहा जाता है, कि Idol of Ganesh, Idol of Saraswati... Hindus are idol worshippers. यह सरासर गलत है। जबतक एक पत्थर, काठ या फोम की गणेश आकृति दुकान में रहती है वो एक idol या वस्तु है, जिसे हम खरीद फरोख कर सकते हैं। पर जब उसकी स्थापना कर साधारण तौर पर या पूर्ण विधि अनुसार प्राण प्रतिष्ठा करें तो वह विग्रह हो जाता है, उसमें भाव आ जाता है, और हम उसमें इष्ट देवता को ही देखते हैं न कि पत्थर या काठ या फोम को।
साधारण भाषा में हम उसे ही मूर्ति या प्रतिमा कहते हैं। राजीव मल्होत्रा जी ने Sanskrit Non Translatables में बहुत अच्छा विवरण दिया है। प्रतिमा या विग्रह का अंग्रेजी अनुवाद नहीं हो सकता। अतः हिंदू मूर्ति पूजक नहीं हैं, वो विग्रह या देवता भाव पूजक है। Hindus are not idol worshippers but are विग्रह worshippers. दोनो में बहुत अंतर है।
गजब लॉजिक दिया है 😆😆 जिस परमात्मा को यत्र तत्र सर्वत्र व्याप्त मानते हो। उसको पहले मानते हो कि वो उन कणों में व्याप्त नहीं था जिनसे मानव निर्मित क्षद्म आकार बना है और बाद में उसमें ईश्वर तत्व आ जाता है कहीं और से ? उसको विग्रह बोलने से उसमें ईश्वर तत्व आ जाता है? कहां से आता है? 😆😆😆😆 कहां से लाते हो ये सब ज्ञान ? इस्कॉन या वैष्णव संप्रदाय या राधा भक्त लगते हो। ऐसी बातें वही लोग करते हैं। तुम्हारे हिसाब से तो जो वेदों में ईश्वर की व्याख्या है वो सब बकवास है ? पहले मूर्ति थी बाद में विग्रह हो गया 😆😆😆😆 ? और सबसे मजे की बात ये कि जिसे ईश्वर का स्वरूप मान रहे हो वो वैसा है किसने देखा ?

सादर नमस्कार मिश्र जी🙏 "विग्रह" शब्द से मुझे "कल्प विग्रह" का स्मरण हो आया, जो कि भगवान शिव की मूर्ति है और तथाकथित २८००० साल की सबसे पुरानी उत्खननित किसी भी सनातनी देवी-देवता की मूर्ति है। क्या आपके शोध अथवा जानकारी के अनुसार इसमें कोई सत्यता है? क्या यह तथ्यात्मक अथवा प्रमाणित है?
Please explain comma, quoestion mark, punctuaions in Sanskrit. Why च(and) comes after next word instead of coming in between e .g. फलम् अन्नम् च instead of फलम् च अन्नम्।
Because च doesn’t exactly mean “and”. It’s more like “too” or “also”.

I don't think your definition of murti is complete. How do you explain Satyamurti, mangalamurti? I think murti is closer to Vigraha than Pratima. It is physical form/representation - not only solid.
