- The History of Jack Daniel's and Nearest Green an African-American Master Distiller is some of the best American History I've discovered most recently. Jack Daniel's Whiskey has been around for over 150 years and the story of the late Jack Daniels and the relationship he had with Nearest Green was phenomenal.
Danny and I sat down to taste whiskey and also give a whiskey review of our favorite Jack Daniel's brand. Lynchburg, Tennessee is full of history you must do the distillery tour when you are in Lynchburg.

No I cannot celebrate benefactors of slavery! Nathan Nearest Green taught Javk Daniel's how to make whiskey and Daniel's stole Nathan's recipe and took the recipe and ran with it and his family have become billionaires! And to hear whites sanitize the thievery of Nearest Green's whiskey. This is a repetitive story of Whites gleaning the creative minds of slaves and hijacking recipes and ideas for agriculture. I dont think that's his son but I think that's Nearest. He kept Nearest close to him because Nearest taught him everything he knew. God dont like ugly and maybe that was Karma that caused that suffering.

Every race has its own culture... whiskey is keltic...
Yes, every race has it's own...but the process that Jack Daniel's used was directly linked to Nearest and how they made it in West Africa. It may not have been called "Whiskey" but the process is still the same to this day.
Trying to rewrite history isn't the answer... accept it and move on..try learning about the Scot/Irish people in this country...they were the real pioneers of this country..they built almost everything here..from politics to business..from nothing...they came here when nothing was here..
