Queer Identities Across Asia - Celebrating Pride 2023

In February of 2023, World Pride was hosted in Sydney - the first time the event had come to the Asia-Pacific, and the first time the event was hosted in the Southern Hemisphere.
Asialink had the pleasure of hosting this panel of experts, representing the diverse experiences of sexuality and gender identity across the region. The panel included Queer Advisor and Board Member for City of Port Phillip and Switchboard Victoria, James Seow, Professor of Gender Studies from The University of Hong Kong, Brenda Alegre, PhD, RP, RPm, and author of "Intimate Assemblages: The Politics of Queer Identities and Sexualities in Indonesia,' Hendri Yulius Wijaya.
