Love that you took the time to tell the story. This is so necessary for new moms. (This is also important for people who just endured the passing of their loved one).
Sophiaaaaaa I love you- thank you for showing us women the true way!! You are both incredible people! Tysm for sharing so much love and happiness to the world!! Congrats MMW 😍🪽
I got an epidural with my 1st baby and it only numbed my legs, I felt everything and the catheter was the most painful feeling! I prayed to the Lord to give me strength with my 2nd baby since I didn’t want to go through that again with epidural and He delivered took my pain and worries and giving birth has been the most spiritual experience, just had our 3rd baby and we decided to do a home birth and it was the most beautiful experience of my life. All things are possible to those who believe. Mark 9:23
That is exactly what happened to me with my first! It was horrid.
I had to get induced as well due to my daughter being growth restricted. It’s so amazing what us women can do. Congratulations Sophia and Taylor on your bundle of joy ❤

Part one sounds really good. I can’t wait to hear part two.
i love this family you guys are really good parents i’m so happy
for yall🎉
We had very similar experiences. My induction started Nov 6th and she was born Nov 8th, but everything from them trying to place the IVs (they attempted mine 6 times 😭) to the failed epidural. There were times I felt like you were literally sharing my birth story. Mine just ended in a c section after 28 hours of labor. It’s so crazy, but I’m so proud of you. That was NOT easy. You’re superwomen. ❤
Your baby is precious. Best of luck to your new little family.
Love y’all, so happy for you guys! God bless❤
I finally subscribed to yall lol. plus your baby girl is precious! Congrats new parents! ♥️
aww she’s adorbs! 🤍✝️
Soph!!! You are glowing!!!
I arrived at hospital at 4-5cm. Those contractions are no joke but once I got the epidural I felt nothing. I cld move my legs all around but cldnt feel a darn thing. Ended up w c-sec bc my son was too big. Doesn’t matter how baby arrives- bc they’re such a blessing🙌🏽🙌🏽
I arrived at the hospital at a 7 refused the epidural the next day was a 10 and I pushed for 5 hours without any pain meds before having to have a C-section! I was technically in labor for 2 weeks but refused to get induced until 41 weeks and 6 days when they broke my water
I arrived at 8Cm and still wanted the epidural they got it in did the test run and she came it didn’t even have time to start only the test run lol
I was at 10 CM dilated when I arrived to the hospital. I felt everything With the epidural I got it to late
@nikkimunno/ I know bc they are a blessing ❤
I arrived with my 4th baby at 6cm 100% effaced and an hour and a half later it was time to push. Pushed for 15 minutes and he was here
So precious!!
Taylor is precious! I love how he said he did good for the second epidural 😂 I actually had a C-section w/out one! 😮 I was put under but when I woke up all I said over & over was PAIN! I forgot I even had a baby! The Anesthesiologist tried about six times to get it in and he just couldn’t and I couldn’t take it anymore..
Congratulations again you guys! ❤❤❤
Mary Mahryn looks like a doll 💕 she’s beautiful 😍
That's exactly what happened to me with our oldest daughter. The pain was horrible!!
@@jodil1209 What’s strange is I had 2 older children & had epidurals with both, no problems. I had a child after with an epidural block, and that worked well. But sorry you had to experience that. One of the most painful experiences of my life..
@nolagirl2458 I have a feeling it was the anesthesiologist. We have 2 kids, and the epidural worked for our second daughter, who was also a c-section, right away. I had to have a knee replacement when I was 38 and that anesthesiologist couldn't get the epidural in either. So I don't know.
@@nolagirl2458I'm sorry you had to experience that, as well. I was so sad.
@@jodil1209 Thank you! I’m surprised I was brave enough to have another child after that. It had to be the Dr. bc no problems after that. ❤
I had to have two epidurals as well! Exact same thing happened! You two are adorable as is your tiny miracle. God bless you all! Much love. ❤
You guys are honestly the cutest ❤
I never got an epidural, but I did get something in my IV that made me sleep between my contractions. I was only in the hospital 3 hours before my son came because I guess I was in labor the night before and didn't realize. Worse back pain I ever felt in heavy labor and I even broke my back before and that doesn't even come close to labor pains. I'm glad you were blessed with a great outcome. ❤
She is so beautiful 😍 you guys are amazing ❤
What a beautiful family congratulations to you both always
Ive had 3 epidurals over the course of 2 pregnancies because I got sent home the first time with my 2nd son 😅 dont feel bad Taylor my husband almost passed out too! I heard thats super common for dads, congrats on baby girl ❤
I seen how big the epidural was & was afraid but I also had to get another one!! The 1st one wore off & I was screaming so loud in pain the nurses all the way up the hallway @ front desk could hear me 🤯 so I got a 2nd one & had my babygirl pain-free ☮️ I was 20yrs old now I'm 22 about to have a 2yr old on the 12th of this month 😌 I had her @ 36wks due to preeclampsia (high blood pressure). Congratulations on your baby!! I also had to be induced & the catheter was a weird feeling bc I couldn't feel me peeing lol 😅
Mary is the cutest baby girl ever! Awe 🥺💜
Love all of your stories but this is my favorite by far. You have a beautiful family, congratulations! I had to have my epidural done 4 times then ended up throwing up right before having my emergency csection. Definitely agree the most painful part of the entire process is the epidural!
When I had my second son and I was scheduled for a C-Section on July 7th. I was in labor and my doctor said could not have him vaginal. So I went into labor on July 4th and the on call Doctor asked me if i wanted to have him today. Of course I said YES!! I had a spinal block and during my surgery I had a blood vessel ruptured. They called a code blue, called a vascular Doctor to come in, ALL my spinal block was gone on my right side. I was getting my tubes cut and burned...FELT IT ALL. The Anesthesiologist ran in started to give ALOT of Morphine. That was the worst experience in my life!! My son and I have an unique relationship and I cherish it so much!!
Holly cow ty for sharing i've never heard of any experience like that. Let alone ever think it was possible. Omg literally spinning! Sry u went throught that an glad ur baby boy is healthy!!! Wow ur a strong woman! 🤍🤍🤍
Congratulations on being a new mom! I'm a mom of 4 and its the best lot in life you can imagine. 💐
Love you guys, keep doing your vlops.
I got an epidural 48 hours into active labor and Stella came at 57.5 hours. I too was born with a heart defect and spiked a fever because my body was so stressed. It was a whole mess and Stella and I both had to be on IV antibiotics for 72 hours. Our hospital stay was also accompanied by the fire alarms with the strobes off and on for about the first 24 hours. They were working on the system.
I didn't have an epidural. I didn't think the contractions were all that bad until about an hour before our daughter was born. I was pushing involuntarily by the time we arrived at our birth center and then she was born less than a half hour later.
I didn’t get epidurals until was preparing for c-sections. Yes I felt them- alone. Spouse had to wait outside during -
@Reneeslife8463 yes, my children's father had to wait out in the waiting area during the epidural too.
Love y’all❤️❤️
I had an epidural but by that point I was 5-6cm and I didn’t feel it at all because the level of contractions were so bad! Thank you for sharing your story.
Looking forward to part 2
Thanks for sharing also put a sign up saying this is not lease office that would drive me nuts you guys are the best ❤
I love her so much!!!!!
I got an epidural when I was induced and personally, I had a positive experience. The initial needle did hurt but it wasn’t unbearable. I was pretty much numb waist down but still able to somewhat move. I definitely felt the pressure when it was time to push but thankfully, it was all pain free and was able to focus on just pushing and pulling baby out. God bless you guys! ❤
Thank you!! He is my heart❤
Congratulations on baby.
She still covers her face… so cuteee❤❤❤❤
I think being induced that early, especially if your body hasn’t soften or started dilating, it can make the epidural much more painful. I got the epidural after labor started on its own. I was 3cm and my water had already broken….and compared to the contractions, it wasn’t that bad in comparison. Praying your next experience will be so much better! Thanks for sharing your story!!
I 💯 agree! With my first son I could have cared less if they sawed me in half 😂
Congratulations ❤
I felt that shooting pain down my left side too!! Totally thought I was about to be paralyzed lol unfortunately the spot on my back where I had it still aches to this day, and that was 12+ years ago
Also, I was induced and didn’t feel any contractions until my water was broken. Things changed quickly after that!
Taylor saying “I pushed a little bit too” bless him❤😂
I’ve gotten 2 epidurals but I didn’t get mine until 6.5cm with my first and then 9cm with my second (he came quick!) so at that point for me it didn’t hurt because my contractions were so much stronger than the pain of the epidural. I went naturally though for both so I feel like getting induced it would be harder trying to decide when to get it and I feel like it would be painful if contractions aren’t as intense! You’re a rockstar Soph! And yalls baby is so precious!!! Best gift ever!!! 💕
You guys should totally do a podcast!!
I'm so happy. You two are wonderful ❤now 3❤luv you 3
I loved getting checked it felt amazing! Lbs
When can we expect part 2?? I’m expecting in May and would love to hear part 2!
Mary is so cute!
I had all 3 of my kids Naturally (31,29,28) it’s been a minute but not much has changed and the first one and third one in my opinion were not as bad as I expected. It was all in my mindset but that 2nd one who came at 37wks who was still high and had not shown any signs of labor but my water broke and you have 24hrs at that point to deliver. My Dr was the worst man I have ever met!! He knew I needed a cesarean but he said NO we are doing this well I’m not gonna tell you the damage he did to me physically as well as emotional. You did an amazing job to be so young and no experience. I was so proud of you!!!
I love u guys so much u guys brighten my days I've been going through a lot Jesus loves u guys and congratulations on baby girl she is so adorable 💜🩷🩵🧡
I'm so happy for you gygs You have a beautiful family.❤❤❤❤
Haha we need to get you a “Not the leasing office” sign 😅
Love y'all
My first epidural was great when it kicked in lol. It did its job especially since I had a 10 lb 13 oz boy. But the worse part was they had to put the needle in when I was having a contraction. My water had already broke which started my labor but the baby was moving during the contraction. That was the worse pain.
The second epidural it did ok but I felt pressure on my left hip the whole time. Pushing the second time around was way more intense. My second was 9 lbs 10lbs but he came out in 5 minutes compared to my first took an hour to push. I experienced contractions very intensely the second time.
You are a warrior momma for going through so much with your epidural.
Yall are so sweet! My husband almost passed out too. Lol and it was our second (granted after 13 years) but I was looking around for him and his ass was sitting in the chair. Angered me a little. 😂😂. YES! When I got my epidural with my second the shooting pain made my right leg fly up I almost kicked the nurse in front of me! So weird!!! Taylor is so sweet! You both are so cute!!! Congratulations on yalls little bundle of joy.
Taylor and Sophie and Mary Mahryn , you are a beautiful family,
Not too long before Alyssa and Dallin little girl born. So happy for you too. What beautiful baby.
Thanks for sharing
OMG CUTEST LITTLE FAMILY ON CZcams ❤❤❤❤❤❤ SO INSPIRED BY YOU!!!! IM DOING VLOGMAS TOO ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome guys 😊😅😅😅🎉😂❤❤
Sophia u are glowing
Congratulations on your new beautiful baby girl and now feeding every 2-3 hours and sleeping schedule waking up during the night. Much happiness and success for both of you.
I had 6 kids and learned quickly that after feeding and your holding baby hold her more on an incline for an hour after to reduce chance of spit up.always feed a baby on an incline as well... if you feed them as they lay flatter it increases chances of ear infections as well.
Ive had 2 epidural but they didnt take affect till after my kids were born...so the other 4 I didnt have anything last child only took 30 min from start to finish.
5 kids naturally I never experienced an epidural just because I was scared of story's I've heard I'm so happy everything worked out for you always do whats right for you congratulations ❤
I know this is a very personal question, so please do not answer if you do not feel comfortable sharing online. Okay... here I go. When you say 5 natural births, do you mean homebirths? I ask because every pregnancy is different. How would you navigate whether to stay at home or go to the hospital when you do not know if something will go wrong (labor is long and stressful for baby/not progressing, baby's heartbeat is low, too much tearing down there for you to heal naturally/without stitches, baby is not breathing, etc.) I know there are midwives and online sources to help with these questions and concerns, but I wanted to ask a momma who has actually walked through making these decisions herself. I am not even married, let alone pregnant... but I have recently started dreaming of homebirth. I am not sure if I could handle the guilt of something going wrong in that situation though. Would my choice to be at home instead of the hospital be putting my baby at risk if something goes wrong? I want to do everything possible to protect and cherish my (hopefully, in the future) baby. ❤
Sending ❤ from Brisbane Australia
I had 3 epidurals 2 went well the second one I ended up with a spinal headache for 8 weeks I litterally had to lay flat in a dark bedroom for 8 weeks everytime I sat up I threw up for 8 weeks it was horrible I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Congrats on your beautiful baby girl!
Thank you for sharing your birth story. Though mine is different I also had the same experience with the epidural, Shooting pain down the whole left side of my body. Beyond painful, so when the nurses were asking - to find out "Oh I need to go to the right" per the Doc. Be prepared for some tenderness in the spine where you had yours.
I had an epidural with both of my c-sections. With my second one, I had a hot spot. It felt like fire in one area. The anesthesiologist gave me extra meds but it didn’t help. My youngest is 17 now and the epidural sight is still sensitive at times. But in saying that, it was worth every moment to have my babies. I wouldn’t change anything. ❤❤❤
I've had 4. I have 6 kids with two single births, and 2 sets of twins. My last delivery was my last set of twins and I couldn't feel the epidural! I felt EVERYTHING! After I pushed the first baby out I was so exhausted from the pain I said I can't do it again lol luckily I got it together but I realized I had really taken the epidural for granted the 3xs before!
Was too late for the epidural when I had my son 29 years ago. Glad as over the years heard so many stories, even from my own Mom, who had headaches and could not nurse my brother(being the youngest, heard these stories all the time). Another was a woman I know that had nerve issues because of the epidural, she could have been paralyzed.
Taylor & Soph I had one in 1999 with my twins and again with my daughter in 2004. I had a great anesthesiologist in 99 and he was wonderful. I barely even felt a pinch from the needle and was numb all the way through. In 2004 I felt the pinch of the needle but the numbness was the same. I had a good experience.
Definitely crazy how many similarities my son’s birth is compared to your daughters! The Cytotec didn’t progress me at all and the epidural was so awful! I felt it only on my right side but shortly after they rolled me onto my side all my levels tanked and I ended up with an emergency C-section. Now I’m 31 weeks with my daughter and SO nervous for this epidural!
The most adorable family😍 also i love that Sophia never talks over Taylor, so MANY wives on their CZcams vids do that to their husbands and its not a good look🙈
I noticed that too, and I loved that
@@joudian 😍❤️❤️❤️
The epidural doesn’t hurt if your contracting. It’s sweet relief.
My epidermal experience was honestly good. They performed it while I was mid contraction which felt worse than the shot so I think that helped. I always tell people that the sensation of the epidermal reminded me less of an actual shot and more similar to the feeling of hitting the nerve near your elbow, like hitting your funny bone but a worse version. I was completely numb the entire remaining portion of labor and then child birth. I couldn’t feel any contractions after I got the shot, to the point that I had to be told when to push bc I couldn’t feel anything. I was super grateful for the epidural bc it allowed my body to actually relax. Prior to the shot I was only 3 centimeters dialated and it wasn’t progressing in that department but bc of the epidural I literally went from 3 centimeters to 10 centimeters in less than 20 min. It happened so quickly there was no time for the catheter so I was ready for delivery so fast thanks to the epidural.
Congrats on your baby girl. I’m really happy it went well. She is so beautiful. Enjoy every moment. Time is going to go so fast from this point forward. I feel like I just had my daughter not long ago but she is graduating high school this year. So crazy.
My first epidural only worked on the right side and I could tell as soon as they put it in, it was only working on the right side. They also had me lay there to see if gravity would do the trick. It didn’t and a few hours later I got another one. I could tell instantly it was working on both sides. Not sure how to explain it, but the feeling was different than the first. I wonder if the placement was just not quite right for yours. It’s such a tiny space that they’re working with. Kudos to you for making it through “half numb”!
Okay. Please put up a sign that says “not the leasing office.”That makes me nervous for y’all! 😂. Congratulations on a precious baby. Y’all are super parents. Have fun because it sure goes fast. ❤❤❤
Wow such a crazy story dang 😯😯
Yall i cannot with how my stomach dropped seeing shadows!!
I got the epidural at 6cm and it hurt so bad but afterwards I actually got to rest and sleep and I loved it. But by time it came to push I was maxed out on everything and my epidural wore off so I felt every little thing including when they had to cut me to get his head out. I love my son tho and it was worth it! Y’all are great parents, Congratulations!!! I love y’all! 🤍🤍
I Love you guys have a great day 🤗😍
That's crazy, I didn't even feel them putting in the epiderals either time. Thank goodness lol. I also never got a numbing needle first...
I just had my baby yesterday! I received a cytotech pill and the foley balloon at the same time. The foley balloon scared me but it didn’t hurt at all for me. It immediately started working and those contractions were crazy. The epidural hurt for me because they said the space was so narrow for me. It hurt a lot for me as well! I was having terrible contractions at the same time though so it was worth it! I constantly had to be turned because the epidural wasn’t spreading for me as well! It actually wore off a bit by the time it came to pushing but it was nothing compared to the first contractions. My whole entire labor was only 14 hours total which I was not prepared for since it’s my first baby and expected it to be longer. Congrats you too!
You are so strong. I had 3 natural births bc I was way too scared to get an epidural. I had pitocin with all of them.
The one sided epidural happened to me as well with my first! Ended up delivering without it. With my 2nd baby it worked amazing and I felt nothing! Hopefully next time goes smoother!
As far as an epidural goes, if you are having contractions usually the pain from those counteracts the pain of the epidural…at least that’s how it went for me. Don’t be scared to get another one…you got this Momma. Congrats to your sweet baby girl 💕
My first epidural my man had to hold my shoulders and he almost passed out! I definitely felt a lot of pressure getting it, but once it was in I thought it was a life saver and totally worth it.
The second time around it was easier for me and my husband. He wasn't as nervous and I was able to stay more still & calm. Once again for me it was totally worth it!
My question is where did you deliver and also how did they feel about y’all recording. I’m asking that because I’m delivering my second baby in May at doctors hospital and I want to record this one because I didn’t think to record my first birth and with this being my last baby I definitely want to have this memory
I had my 1st epidural & they inserted it wrong & I instantly felt pain! They had to remove it & reinsert it to get it in right! That was with my first baby & I was 21. Fast forward to when I was 34, I had a host of back problems! I’m now 51 & still have horrible back issues. I have a pain pump in my back & live in chronic pain.
Giiirl lol my epidurals never took right. The 1st kiddo it kinda just took the edge off. But I could totally walk. The 2nd kid it was only number on the left side. I didn't even get the option to fix it by getting another. But my labors were easy peasy and I was dilated very early. I'm pretty sure I'm done have kids but I just know my body is like ehh when it comes to the epidural. 🤷♀️🤣
