Hi, creator of the deck here. I like the side plan and agree boros charm is a bit too slow and clunky with the one ring in modern. I also think Improvised Club is better than fling in the same slot for the most part, 15 damage for 2 is good enough, and in the games where you have a hammer that's sitting in play with no equip target, 4 damage is better than a dead card. I would also personally run forge anew over Puresteel. Metalcraft isn't something this deck can do easily.
Is there a reason you aren’t running Goblin Grenade? I know it doesn’t throw the constructs but 13 hits seems like enough and a good way to take advance of some incidental synergy for 1 mana

The DFC fling/land (Kazuul's Fury) might work here as well for some extra combo redundancy (makes combo mulls better). Round 3: I’m a little sad that door to nothingness isn’t templated in a way so that if you get hexproof they have to choose themself for maximum cheese here
You should consider magnetic theft for this deck as attach card 9, its a single red instant that requires no setup besides hammer and creature, no metalcraft to worry about
It is a little annoying that only red cards have actual answers to an artifact that can go in any deck regardless of game plan or color base. I can see this degenerating into only decks that make the most of the ring and red decks that try to kill faster or through it.

Aw, yes. Playing two of the most generically powerful cards in Sheoldred and The One Ring is "synergy" now. I play brainstorm in my deck that uses Force of Will. It's a blue card, so it's synergistic.
That is a fun little wrinkle to throw into the game. Using proliferate defensively is a rare sight, but you can also throw off an aether vial or make an urzas saga pop early if you want to deny a token

Gonna say that there was no out but the sheoldred opo at 15:08 could have pointed the sign in blood to you, made you draw two then take four, so yay for a free turn Also whoa Sheoldred+the one ring is suuuuper busted
M1 G1 opponent strongly telegraphs Bowmaster, otherwise they would have just Pushed on their turn while you cannot have protection spells up. Getting Shadowspear is better with SFM.
In round 1 game 3, I'm just going to point out pithing needle would have been great if you had brought it in like you talked about. The ring single handedly won that game, and the hammer you ended up having to tutor did basically nothing
I didn't know that card existed when I made the deck, it's definitely a good card the +2/+2 from strike is sometimes relevant, and Magnetic Theft still can't target Sanctifier, but other than that, you're probably correct.
Some stomps or that 🤔 shock that has ferocious might be big against the one ring bc so many people just got pants 👖 down and relax bc they got the Rangu
My wife doesn't play Magic, and knows nothing about it. She asked why I haven't played. I explained what's up with The One Ring, and she said "That sounds so dumb. Why haven't they banned it?" If someone who doesn't play and knows nothing of the game can see the problem with TOR, you know there's an issue.
In the case of the One Ring, it should have always been restricted to 1 in all formats. Too bad that's not a rules option for them, but it makes sense to me.
When I didn't know anything about Magic I thought Deathtouch was a dumb and overpowered keyword, so confirmation from someone that doesn't play doesn't really say much about the power of something. However, obviously The One Ring is busted, and the reason it isn't banned yet is $$$.
@jeffe2267 or I read the entire card and explained what the terms meant and she determined it to be stupid and powerful, as well as seeing that it's in pretty much any deck that can get to 4 mana easily. Don't make dumbass assumptions.

Played modern at my LGS last night. My opponent was on mono green tron and mulled to 4. They managed to get the one ring out of their sideboard with Karn and proceeded to win. That was enough to tell me that the one ring needs to go.
Isn’t magnetic theft just better than the warrior card? Besides the fact that it gives the +2/+2, which I hardly think matters when your creature is becoming an 11/11. It’s a color of mana you have more of, and you can steal opponents equipments, which seems like a higher upside to me than +2/+2
We already sideboard for graveyards so why is it that we can sideboard for the ring ???? Needle existing as an answer literally anyone can use is enough of an argument. Card advantage bad but the pitch casting elementals that completely warped the format is ok.
Because multiple decks utilize the graveyards, but having to dedicate entire sideboard slots to exactly one card or die to it is the living definition of unhealthy.

If we’re going to go by that logic then living end should be banned. Want to talk about healthy for the game the ring makes decks that we’re fringe more viable so sending those decks back to fringe is more unhealthy than people having so side a pithing needle or any of the other answers there is for it.

Also magnetic theft lets you attach hammers to constructs, which is going to matter waaaaay more than the pump

@@briankramer8737 When Living End becomes 50% of the Modern meta, then it should be banned. The One Ring is rapidly approaching that.
