All LOVEBITES songs have English lyrics except one. It was a big dream for Miho (base), the founder and leader. It was something that no Japanese band had ever achieved, "playing at WACKEN OPEN AIR". In order to achieve that goal, we had to work outside Japan, so Asami who can sing in English was selected as the vocalist. Miho's dream came true in just one year after forming the band.
Um, the band was formed in 2016 and they played at Wacken in 2018. Just saying.
You guys really nailed it, this was a good sample out of their skillsets/musicianship/ I am not a man of big words but this band has changed my life as a metal head they are FANTASTIC. I have on my daily schedule at least 2 LOVEBITES songs just to get the blood pumping. THANKS for an enjoyable reaction. Holliday

Miyako (black haired guitarist) has studied classical piano for twenty-eight of her thirty-one years to concert performance standard and is her primary instrument. She taught herself to play guitar at university at eighteen or nineteen and has only play it for just over ten years. One wonders how good she will be when she pays layed for another ten years or so She played her last two hour concert four/five months pregnant.
And Midori started to play guitar at 21.
The Drummer has to wear gloves because the sticks are made out of wood. If they touch her bare hands, the sticks will catch fire. I believe that's the reason.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, are like the sun and moon. Together they make this world great. It is a miracle that these two completely different types of female guitarists exist in the same group.

Kudos to you Sir for taking the heat from the wolfpack and being such a good sport with it. I have seen several reactors on CZcams get criticized by the wolfpack for negative comments they made and almost every other reactor got angry and lashed out in retaliation which escalated the situation and made it even worse. But you, Sir, are a GREAT reactor, because you took the punches, gave Lovebites another shot, and were man enough to admit your mistake. You even posted the negative comments. Most reactors would have taken offense to the Funeral Director remark, but you took it in stride and were able to laugh at it. That is commendable. I subscribed to your channel now. You are welcome to join the wolfpack if you like, and spread the word to everyone you know, LOVEBITES is a GREAT band, one of the best in the world.

Thank you Sir. :) Grew up with Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Zep ,Yes - et 'al in the 60's. So finding a new generation after all these decades was an eye opener for me. I'd gone back to Classical and Folk. ~ 4 years ago I bumped into BAND-MAID and what? Now virtually all I listen to is to J-Something. Remember Classical music is just Rock/Metal before electricity! :)

amazing songs. midori is the guitarist with the blonde pony tail. miyako is the guitarist that plays piano. miho is bass. haruna is drums. asami is vocals. all there songs are in english with the exception of the song bravehearted off the lovebites ep. the song was later rerecorded in english for there first album and is sung in english when performed live. lovebites won the metal hammer golden god award for best new band in 2018. If i had a song to recommend would be We The United. It is there anthem and the song that introduced them to me and is a truly amazing song

Haruna...Drums, Midori...blonde guitarist, Miyako.....black haired guitarist, Miho....Bass and the leader of the pack but she quit the band in August for personal reasons and Asami....vocals.

Edge Of The World , will give you yet another side of the singer and their arrangement skills. They always completely control the crowd, not only in Japan, but in US and European festivals, where they were voted best New Metal act of 2018 by Metal Hammer readers

These three songs were from their 2020 concert in January or February, right before the pandemic shutdown. The first video you watched "Set the World on Fire" was from a concert in March of 2021, and had covid restrictions in place despite venues opening back up at that time.
That explains a lot.

wolfpack is always here. I wasn't harsh with you the first time because I've seen worse as a reactor, and you generally liked the music. I admit that sometimes I am quite scathing but you seemed very honest and sincere. Not everyone in the pack reacts the same way depending on how they feel about the video. You're not the first to be lectured and you won't be the last. In any case very good reaction on 4 titles I take my hat off to you for that rare those who made 4 titles on a reaction. There are certain titles of Lovebites which are more technical than others, therefore that requires on behalf of the members of the group a great concentration. That's why their stage presence differs from song to song. There are some bands that don't need a lot of staging, only the musical magic they give off is enough to appreciate their performance. This is the case for example of Joe Satriani who does nothing more than play, and Lovebites is rather in that style. No need to roll on the floor like Angus Young to make the show, just the power and the musical quality do the rest.

I'm old enough to have witnessed the birth of rock & roll in the 50's and have been a die hard metal fan since the beginning in the 70's. I never thought that I would ever witness another great band then Lovebites happened. There is hope for the future! Enjoy the rabbit hole you have just entered.

LOVEBITES - Break the Wall
Thank you for coming back to them--and doing a triple play. You chose well, capturing three very different aspects of the band. So, to help you with names:
Haruna - drums (2016-present)
Midori - guitars, backing vocals (2016-present) (blonde ponytail)
Miyako - guitars, keyboards, backing vocals, main composer (2016-present) (dark hair)
Asami - lead vocals, writes a lot of the lyrics (2016-present)
Miho - bass, backing vocals, founder and bandleader (2016-2021) wrote some of their thrashier songs, eg. Thunder Vengeance
"Raise some Hell" is just a straight-up rocker, and one of their least technical songs. They can just go nuts with it because they can probably play it in their sleep. But yes, it's a very good first reaction song.
Re. "Swan Song": Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now one of the best metal guitarists in the world. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). All five members of the band are Jedi-level musicians, but I think Miyako is a once-in-a generation talent, a true savant.
Re. "Hammer of Wrath": The opening passage is actually a pre-recorded instrumental ("the Awakening") that introduces their encore; "Hammer" is the first of three live songs in the encore. Keep in mind they are coming back after 90 minutes of relentless Lovebites-pace thrashing, and they look like they could go another 90.
One final note--the first video you watched was from their 2021 concert. These three are from 2020.

Midori is now my favorite guitarist of all time. Not only is she hot, but she is charismatic, and has phenomenal guitar skills. The complete package.
Japan has several strong all-female bands. There's no right or wrong way to reaction, be happy, enjoy music.
From an Aussie - nice reaction mate, and good on you for giving them another go and responding so gracefully to your critics.
I actually think the Wolfpack, and the Nightwish Army for that matter are generally fairly sociable and willing to help reactors to appreciate their idols, although there'll always be a few idiots who go over the top.
Now, if only we can persuade your fellow countryman Tank the Tech to give Lovebites another try, as he also dismissed them on the basis of just one track (wasn't too keen on Asami's vocals apparently) . The lesson is to do what you've done and delve a bit deeper.

@Hoges412 Tank the tech likes all types of music, but gets narrow minded with metal, liking only the deep growling scream and or death metal in his overall attitude towards the genre it seems..So he'd never accept Lovebites, although he enjoyed their musicianship. Such a shame, because he's missing out on some great music and singing from an Amazing band.. Even another great band, Nemophila would rub him the wrong way I'll bet, because of Mayu higher register banshee wailing(which I Love btw)..

The pianist Miyako graduated from the Chopin academy before starting to rock, she was at first a support musician before joining the group. When the bassist Miho and drummer Haruna formed lovebites, they organized auditions for a singer and cjose Asami on the ground that she had a strong voice and could sing in English. Singing in Japanese would have restricted their success abroad.
They are all very talented

Similarly, the Maidiacs will invade your channel if you give them a chance. Both bands feature great singers and musicians who are dedicated to their craft. A suggestion for your first Bandmaid reaction - their live performances are the best place to start. From the World Domination Tour 2020, try Freedom, Domination or Play. From 2018, Onset (an instrumental) and Grant Nealon's suggestion of Real Existence live from 2018 is good as well

The undisputed queens of metal! In 70 years I have NEVER heard or seen anything like it. 5 talents of this caliber in the same group that only happens every 20 years and again ....
All their songs are in English. Only one in Japanese was "Bravehearted" which was on their first EP album. They did re-record it in English as well. They usually perform it Live in English.

Lovebites released one song in Japanese "Bravehearted" on their very first EP. That song had been written by the drummer when she was in a previous band which is why it was in Japanese. They later released an English version of the song. Other than that ALL of their 50 songs are 100% English. They made that choice because their target audience is the whole world, not just Japan.

When Destinys Align was the song that really got me Into Lovebites, but I was like you, I did a snap reaction, but nowadays I love them.

I’m a fairly good judge of character and I thought you might come back for a more objective viewing of LOVEBITES and you did not disappoint. In fact, you came back in spades and I doing so you have just earned my subscription.
I commented on your first Lovebites video and recommended Swan Song so you might see a different look from them. You certainly came back with a vengeance with three excellent songs and great audio and video quality. Keep doing what you’re doing and the Cowboy will be looking for more of your reactions.
Now, just in case you haven’t yet reacted to The Warning, I think you might add them to your rotation. They are another all female band of 3 young sisters from Mexico who play a new generation of hard rock and will be taking the US by storm starting in January for their American tour. They caught Metallica’s attention and are featured as the lead off song on Metallica’s newest album, The Blacklist! Head over to their CZcams channel and you can pick something from there. Their video Disciple or Enter Sandman are two great choices to react to.

The three songs in this reaction are all from the same concert, which was the Five of a Kind tour (Zepp DiverCity, Tokyo) in 2020, but it is not the same concert as the first video you reacted to a few days ago, although they are wearing the same outfits. The first reaction Set the World on Fire was from the Ride for Vengeance Tour, which was in March 2021. You also correctly surmised that The Awakening/Hammer of Wrath was an encore. It was the first of a three-song encore that also included Edge of the World and their real show-stopper We the United.
u should try to react `we united` and u'll see how cute haruna, the drummer, is at the end of the song. im a huge fan of lovebites.

I would like to suggest that try avoid MVs of Japanese bands, at least if you want know the songs. Japanese musicians are made to play live. In Japan, if you don't deliver on live shows, in any style of music, you're nothing. There are a lot of other bands, but we can start with these. Japan now has awsome new rock bands that are ten years old or less. Sadly, western rock are stucked in the mud for at least, 20 years. All of the great headliners are grandfathers (or grand grandfathers). :-)
Don't bother too much with the negative comments. Some people can't just be measured. You were probably wrong on some points but if someone makes a mistake while being honest, this person just needs further explanations, not undeserved hateful comments.

First and foremost THANK YOU, for giving this insane band a second chance. Many a reactor would of given up especially with all the negative reactions you had to endure, so BRAVO to you!!! A great selection for this band and if you don't like them after this then we are not your cup of tea!! The talent in this band is insane and when you realize the size of these petite women (look like runway models) Haruna/drums 4' 9", Asami/vocals 4' 10", Midori/Blond guitar and Miho/bass 5' and the giant Miyako/Black guitar/piano 5' 2" it is even more mind blowing. These women got at it like this for 2 hours and with no apparent effort and no sweat in gowns/dresses and HIGH HEELS, while all the while singing uplifting lyrics and melting your face off. Japanese women are some of the most gifted musicians you will ever experience. Think Midori and Miyako are insane, wait, say they are the best and you will get reactions like you won't believe from the fans of Hal-Ca(Asterism), Tomo-zo (Doll$Boxx), Yuki (D_Drive), Saki (Mary's Blood/Nemophila), Kanami (Band Maid) etc..! Show-Ya stormed the Boy's Club in the 1980's and all these great female bands have followed them in (Show-Ya is still active BTW). This band incorporates the piano into metal better than any other band period!! While Miyako is a musical savant and writes incredible compositions they are nothing without these incredibly talented band-mates of hers who can play them and do so in total sync LIVE. This band is the very definition of FLAWLESS PERFECTION and that is because they are relentless in their practice habits pursuing perfection!! Well done subbed!!!!

All songs are sung in English but they have done one with a Japanese version called Bravehearted, it was written by Haruna (drummer) and I'd recommend you listen to both versions which in my opinion are both awesome.🤘🥁🎤🎹🎸🐺

Kudos for keeping open mind about Lovebites - aren't you glad you gave them another try? Lots of great songs/performances, but this perf. of "Raise Some Hell" is def one of my favorites, too. Really shows how electric (no pun) they can be in front of a live audience.

Raise som Hell is a fun song. A good song to start with. Usually the recommendation is Holy War, which is a bit more demanding and makes your jaw drop lower. It is not as engaged between the band members though. Also Swan Song is often recommended. It is a kind of interesting experience. I am a bit amazed by that metal fans seems to love the piano part.
Set the world on fire, which was the one you started with is (IMHO) a very good song. It is different. They had the pandemic rules for the audience though and the audience contact was zero. I think it is well worth listening to again. Maybe it will grow on you. It has some very interesting changes in the song and a very interesting (IMHO again) singing.
That was a great reaction. Much more “real” than many others. The first one was real too, and for that reason appreciated. It’s called “reaction” for a reason, you are not supposed to have time to analyse things.
For example I’m also a great Iron Maiden fan, but it takes me at least 2 listenings to really appreciate their albums. Keep on reacting, you are great! 💪🏻

Hammer of Wrath is probably my favorite song by them. Break The Wall and Hammer of Wrath are songs that I love to listen to while running. I love the different sides of them, how they have power ballads with piano then classic thrash metal as well.

The second is the complete opposite of that, their wildest and craziest roller coaster ride of a song, titled "Winds of Transylvania" which was created to be the opening theme song to an anime. OK, the most amazing thing with this band is them playing heavy metal MUSIC, not just making heavy metal noise like most other metal bands. There is a serious content in their songs, Id say most bands can produce a whole album out of a single Lovebites song.
The other amazing thing is how perfect they play live. Ive heard most of the world greatest bands and most are unable to play LIVE what they played in the studio. Even Maiden, Judas and Metallica have messy moments live.. I can only name ACDC and Lovebites always always always perfect on stage. Nightwish too.
Its unbelievable how they play every single note, every single beat, nobody cheating with playing few notes less, Asami sing like a whole opera and everything goes in wild tempo.
Next song for reaction - you can not really go wrong, but I think Winds of Transylvania or Today is the day. Just pick one LIVE.

Thanks for giving LOVEBITES another chance. Since there are so many worthy recommendations for LOVEBITES songs, I'm going to recommend the band was the first band that I discovered on my quest to find new music, the band that led me directly to LOVEBITES. They're called BAND-MAID, and they can be your second all-female band on the channel. They are as special to me as LOVEBITES is. They're more hard rock than heavy metal, but they have incredible energy and skill. Asami, thr singer came to America for a few years trying to be an R & B singer.
Haruna on drums and Miho on bass, we're members of the Fantasy Metal band Destrose.
That band disbanded in 2015 and former members went o to found many of the top female bands in Japan.

What you see at first video and the rest of others will be memory for Lovebites's fan because Miho (bass) left the band on August 17,2021. Miho and Haruna (drummer) form this band in 2016. For right now the band temporary hiatus. Thanks for understanding situation for this band.

Miyako is a concert level classical pianist who taught herself guitar at the age of 18. She also composes most of the songs, one could say, and they wouldn't be wrong, she a musical prodigy. Just so you know at the beginning of "Swan Song" she was playing Chopin's Revolutionary Etude, with eyes closed!!! Yes Miyako plays a mean Bass and she plays drums. Not like Haruna can, no one can play like Haruna. Anything from Live Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020, you can't go wrong. You now know Miyako can on the piano and the guitar, check out "Burden of Time" live studio version. She plays, briefly, both at the same time. Also check out "Epilogue" "Empty Day Dream" and "Edge of the World". Shows their softer side and really shows Asami's vocal talent.
These three songs were from the same show FOAK and the first one you saw was from Ride for Vengeance a difference of a year FOAK was in March of 2020 and Ride For Vengeance was in July of this year. They have only one song in Japanese but redid it in English the same year (2017)Bravehearted was done on their debut EP The Lovebites EP and redone on their first full album Awakening from Abyss. Still think they are a high school band Lol, If I said something out of line I too am not going to apologize I love this band and the Ladies very much and they deserve a lot of respect and attention they are not getting from the music world that only loves the mainstream crap they are being fed.
