For years I've had very inconsistent fs noseslides and I watched this video for shits and giggles and went out to try it with the tips you mentioned and its as if I mastered them today in all but 20 minutes. This is the only tutorial thats ever done this for me, thank you!

yesss THANKS for watching !
you’re so clean with it!
Wow this was very helpful!
I've been skating for about 18 years and I just moved to Barcelona. The Skaters here do the longest slides ever and so my new goal was to be able to do improve my Backtails and stuff to go the long way. The way you explained and the tricks you picked were in my opinion the perfect combination to learn any other slides/grinds. Also the trys when you approached the tricks are very important to understand the way to get there. Thanks a lot Tom. Big inspiration. Glad I found your channel!
PS: I would be hyped if there is a video about the diffirent ways to flip out. Like Backtail flip out, Noseslide heelflip out and stuff.
The “I missed” on the hand back nosegrind had me dying 😂, absolutely amazing
🤣🤣🤣 it happens
A lesson from a legend! Thats too good, too good!! pls keep it
THANK YOU !
All my life I've been in a small town with no parks nearby, but I just relocated to somewhere with a nice skate plaza and this was the perfect video for getting me exposed to ledge tricks. Thanks Tom!
Great video! For me it was so weird, one day I was practicing my FS Tailslide, had them on lock so started practicing FS Noseslide. As soon as I started getting them on lock, out of nowhere I unlocked my FS Nosegrind and FS Crooks! It was magical learning all of those tricks in a single day and having them on lock from then on. Oh and I also unlocked nose manual on a 3-deck high box which was scary before for me.
Some of these details are things you wouldn't realize without years of skateboarding experience. I learned some things here and I've been skating for 20 years. Thanks Tom!
Dam. Best tip trick channel out. Gold mine.
You’re explaining so nicely 😎
One of the last skaters I'd expect to see making YT content, but without a doubt the best content I've seen from a "real skateboarder", instant subscribe! Cant wait to see more.
Flat bar for sure! Also watching the back tails was so satisfying.
tom ur definition of a pro skateboarder !! always loved the skating over the years !!!
My fav skater for sure...keeps me stoked and Hella humble and down to earth....when's the new part Coming out Mr Asta and keep the vids coming, super helpful

You explain very good ! for the crooked grind i have the problem to 180 out every time ,i don't know how to pop with a nollie out but i will try hharder ;) and back tail too i will try your tipps ,very usefull video ! (on rail fs feeble and fs blunt are mystery for me )
Glad you threw in the back tail as a extra, heaps of viewers will appreciate that and im sure you know why 💪
I needed this video. Thanks man

I like how he teaches you via his own mistakes made and he works you through if you’re having the same problems

Didn’t even know you had a CZcams channel. Let’s go Tom! Just subbed

Really helpful videos man, thanks a lot for these, will try out that bs tail tip :)

Tom straight blessing us! 🙌
💜💜💜
I love how skateboarders always explain with hand gestures of a tech deck. It's a visual thing, I understand.
Keep it up tom❤
hi Tom, can you do a vid on basic ledge tricks? thanks for the Advice, keep killing it🔥
Thanks Asta!
Dude! This work you’re putting out is good. Always loved your style.
I’d love to know what you do in terms of keeping your body good for skating… any training/stretching/diet/mindset tips etc.
Thanks for what you’re doing out there!
i would love to put something out on that topic! THANKS for watching !
Awesome dude thanks for doing what you are doing
got you! THANKS for watching !
Back tail explanation was money! Scary to commit to those.
Wow thats so Awesome 🙂
Great vid dude! For me personally it really helped incorporating core training on off days, this includes rotational core exercises as well as static exercises. In my opinion this is a big key to holding slides/grinds for a long time, because it teaches the body how to get from a 'soft' core(while popping) to solid core when landing in the slide/grind and holding it. Also the timing of squeezing the core and learning how to 'release' it (generally in all skate tricks) at the right time is a technique that a lot of people lack.
i can see that helping so much ! i never really thought of that THANK YOU !
whats cracking, just finished a 12hour shift in the kitchen, good to be blessed with the knowledge about these..
Learned back tails this year after skating for 21 years. Trying to get them longer/to fakie. Perfect vid
lets go! get that shit! THANKS for watching !
so satisfying to watch you clear that ledge 👍 i wonder if maybe i can't do longer noseslides and crooks because of the ledges in my area (Poland lol) which are just terrible. i feel like i did get the basics down as you said really well, but i either don't have enough room to set up or the ledge just has some cracks. some people can still clear them, so idk, but i know that these ledges (and non-existent rails) made me the flatground skater i am today who can kickflip manual (sometimes) but can't do a proper 5-0 or noseslide
This is amazing Tom, one of the top channels of the moment!
THANK YOU ! glad you enjoy the vid!
Love it, thanks for sharing dude. Got any tips for popping out of a fs nosegrind mid ledge?
its more like a pressure jump to the side..learn riding in nosmanny on flat, and try to nollie to the side out of nose manny...you give a push foward then a quick hop to the side hope that helps!
Thanks tom❤
Tom your videos rip! I'd love to see a flatbar feebles and smiths video. Appreciate you sharing the knowledge!
sick! i think a flatbar vid could be rad as well! THANK YOU !
great how to vid💥💥💥
These videos get better every time. I've been working on nose manuals, and funny enough when you mentioned how those are important for nose grinds, it hit me. I realised that's what is making my nose grinds suck. Thanks for these tips.
I would also love to find out what one can do for a bs tail slide...I have been really struggling with that trick for years.
One last thing, your pinch on the fs nose grind is clear to see, is that kind of a secret to holding it? Cause I can only bonk it at the end of a ledge
Can I also add one more thing😅🤣I am honestly writing these comments while watching, so bare with me here...
So the bs tail slide, instead of bs tail slide to fakie, how does it feel to do a shuv out, cause naturally my body wants to keep going straight, so I can't pop out to regular😑 I'm not sure I'm making sense
i kept waiting for the front noseslide. i do mine slappy and trying to hold them longer haha. im 42 and having fun tryin. thanks for this!
Love the sixers hat!
Love me some ASTA!!❤
I definitely suffer from not having a trick on lock but trying to get it to slide long. Thats how I was with crooks, I would haul ass and lock into a nice crook but slowly slip into noseslide because I was focusing on the wrong things. Perfect timing for this video, thanks tom
good luck with the crooks! these things take time too! so be patient and keep at it!
This was dope! Could you give a tip on holding back Nose slide and boardslide
Great video! 👊🏾
THANKS !
flat bar video for sure... specifically front smith would be awesome man
im looking foward to making the flat bar vid! coming soon! THANKS for watching !
I used to skate when I was 15-22 yrs old, but I couldn't skate as long as I wanted to because my heart would begin to go crazy (episodes of 180+ bpm), which made me feel more tired compared to the actual work I did. Last year, a cardiologist finally located the root of the problem: I had "an irregular arrythmia" (his words); the electrical impulses were not firing properly. Now, a few months after surgery and I haven't had any episodes - watching these videos have made me want to jump on my board again.
After I get back into the groove of it, I can't wait to start front nose slides and back tails on a ledge at this new park they built. Hope you're still skating strong, Tom. Thanks for these tips.
such an amazing breath of fresh air for "skate CZcams" to have an actual real pro skater talk about all the details
Thanks Tom, keep em coming.
Do fs feebs and bs smiths next please
flat bar vid coming soon! THANKS for watching !
thats one of my locals!!! great video dawg!!!
THANK YOU!
