- I went out to shoot with Kodak Gold 200 and Ultramax 400. My goal was to see if it’s still a bang for my buck with it being on the less expensive side. Check out my thoughts and results!

“The grain was a little grainy” best description! Great video!
There will always be over-opinionated people. Like you said you’re learning and so are we no matter how long we have been doing this. Keep your head up and continue. We need more black women photographers on CZcams. I just found your channel and love it!!
🖤🖤 thanks for the encouraging words! Welcome to my corner of CZcams 😂😂
Whether you want to call it transparency or honesty, you truly live up to that in your videos. I didn't realize how many channels were actually lacking this until I found yours. I sincerely look forward to following this journey with you. Keep doing what you do!
The shot at 9:13 is caaaaaaaaandy. Inspirational!
“Don’t be doing gang signs in my video” took me out 😄
You’re so incredibly talented. Great work.
😂😂😂 thank you!!
NGL I like your unedited photos so much more than the edits and I honestly think you'll look back on these photos years from now and realize what amazing shots you've created here.
I've also only been shooting film for about 2 years and I constantly dislike a lot of my photos and feel very discouraged when I compare my work to others. But it helps to know that it takes time and practice to become good at things and, like others have said in the comments, we're all still learning no matter our skill level. So, thank you for your transparency and the video! I really enjoyed it. Definitely subscribing, your compositions and use of shadow was amazing!
P.S. came over from GrainyDays channel after he gave you a shoutout!
Thank you 🙏🏾
As a fashion photographer that love adding architecture into my work I have to say great location! Love the honesty love the journey and love the progress, keep doing your thang! 🍊
I absolutely love the photo at 9:25! Some awesomely sharp portraits in this. Love to see your process :)
Love love love the transparency for sure! The clips at the very end are what I wait for. I enjoy the chill nature you have on the videos. Keep putting YOUrself out there. I learning with ya. If we weren't learning would it be as much fun? Or have the growth from our day one pics??? I am subscribed! ❣️
I appreciate your transparency!! Your work is beautiful, and your approach is inspiring!
Awww!!! Thanks so much Abrea!
Learning a lot from your brilliant videos! Just discovered your channel this evening and I’m working my way through all of them. Really enjoying your stuff 😄
Glad you found me! Thank youuuuu
Yo Temi!!!! Amazing job! You executed well. I loved your location choices, compositions, use of angles, perspectives and most of all, your thought process. Some of us winged it (👀) until we learned better. Thank you for your honesty and I’m looking forward to a part deux at the same location. You killed it! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Toyin!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
First off, I need that shirt. It's too dope. Secondly, excellent video. Quality content for sure. And finally, MyLightMeter is so clutch!! I love using it for landscape work. Only used it on a portrait shoot once, but def going to be using it lot more going forward. Anyway, love the content. Can't wait to see whats coming next.

Love their merch!
And the light meter is clutch af! And thank youuuu
Grainydays brought me to you - great stuff! love your vibe and style! keep it up!!
The overall tempo of your video is very pleasurable to watch. The harsh striking light combined with those colors and compositions and of course not forgetting such a very handsome man Aaron was perfect. I liked all the unedited images, my favourite was the image at 10:20 👍
This is so reaffirming and helpful. Thank you for sharing as someone on a film photography journey that started 2 months ago. ❤
Glad it was helpful!
I came here from grainyday's video and I am super impressed with your work!
Thank you!!
3 good shots out of a roll is excellent! Keep up the good work!
Came here from grainydays and my god this is great stuff! I came to stay
SHEEEESH I SHOULDA BEEN SUBBED TO THIS CHANNEL THIS WORK IS FIRE
This fire content Temi!
Ivens!! Thank you!
Nice pictures! Great composition in each one of them 👍🏼
Love your videos and the locations you shoot in!
I really enjoy your Channel. Its informative and your Pictures are great !
Thanks Alceste!!
Oh wow, thank you so much for making this video. I was REALLY curious about ultramax after trying Gold 200, and I just so happen to also have a pentax ME Super on the way too!
Glad I could help!
the real winding hack is that if it's a manual wind, your lever will spin every time you advance the film :) don't be a fool like me and forget to check that it's moving before starting to shoot. auto cameras usually give an error if it's not loaded properly so that's an easier thing to avoid
I tried shooting with the UltraMax during the last few days, I have just a shot left before sending my film roll to get developed. I heard in some video here that photos are a little more vivid on colors and details if you overexpose the film a little bit, so I gave it a try. I hope they will turn out fine
I like you, you’re very honest. Great work.
I like your honesty and examples
shots were fire im really impressed don't be so hard on yourself they looked amazing to me
"I wonder if this will look like art or trash" and then flash a goddamn painting on screen. Perfect framing, wonderful colors in editing
Great video, loved the images and those locations with the orange 🔥
Thank you!!! 🖤🖤
I actually really liked this video and the photos. I thought the photos were really beautiful. ✨👍🏼
Your on a good way, your videos are good. Henri-Cartier Bresson once said: "the first 10.000 photos are not good". In the digital age you even have to add a "O". I learned back then on a Pentax ME Super. And my photos back than where not so good as yours -we also had no lightroom. So be proud where you are and keep up your career.
Thank you!!
Oh Temi, what a mint video! You've done an AMAZING job with your model- Aaron is a great model and you showcased him well!
I use 'cheap' filmstock- ultramax etc, or expired film. I'm not far enough into my film journey to try the more premium stocks!
Loved the video and your captures!
Much admiration from Australia
Australia!! ❤️❤️ grateful you watched! Kodak Gold and Ultramax are great to start and just enjoy the capturing process for sure! Fuji Superia was the stock I used to get comfortable w/ film !
I thought the shots looked 🔥 and broski-in-law delivered 🙌🏾
disliking the own work is a way of selfcritism. use it in a positiv way as motivation to work on you. looking at other people work should not lead to comparison but to inspiration!!
nice an honest video, like a lot
Just came here after the grainyday's video and absolutely love the work here! Also quick question, is there anywhere I can find that camera grip!
Thank you!! And I bought it with the camera but I think eBay would be the best bet
I really liked how you used lines and architecture in the portraits. Well done :)
Thank you!!!
Great pics!! so pro
Love the shots, nice edits too, very stylish imo, but I can understand if you dont like them, if they dont fit your vision.
The journey is part of the fun
Thanks for creating this channel. From one Naija girl to another, thank you. ❤
💚🤍💚
dope vid! out of curiosity, what mic do you use?
Hey! Thank you and I use a tascam DR10L mic
gold is the way to go✌🏼
you are a great photographer!!
🥹🥹🥹🖤🖤🖤
great video :) very nice shoots I prefer unedited ones :)
Nice vid.. and some beautiful edits!
Would’ve been nice to see some side by side examples and label what film was being used.
Good note! I’ll keep that in mind for future videos
always great to see more female photographers. your photos are gorgeous! :) new subbie over here
💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿 glad to have you here!!
Dope video. What location is this?
Do you know where i can buy 35mm film? Everything is sold out here in the netherlands..
Hmmm! Have you tried KEH camera or B&H?
Very nicee
Where was this location?
great video !!!! what's ne name of your camera ?
Thank you! I’m using a Pentax ME super
that gold hit everytime 😭
❤️❤️❤️
Love this video! Count me as a subscriber! Thanks for making it! Fun energy!
"Sometimes you don't wanna pay 20 usd for a roll"... Damn! In Mexico, today, the "cheap" Kodacolor is $22.5 dollars 😔...
I need to get another job as film prices keep going up 🫠😂😂
Great compositions and model. But the whole point of film photography is lost when you start using Photoshop and Lightroom. It's easier to do it on a digital camera then.
First 🤪
Try over exposing them by 1 stop. The results would make you think differently about them.
Omo i fine gan ni oo
💀💀💀
i know exactly where this is
