Because just like Scully and the Dodgers, it’s both impossible and horrifying to consider or imagine our sport going on without him after he retires. To imagine doing championships especially with someone else announcing - no. No, we’ll just have to use a computer and have it use the collected samples of his announcements to do the basic announcements for DCI when he’s gone. (Are there Crocker impressionists?)

I love Brandt... but the 2022 silver announcement sucked. It put a huge damper on a historic moment for BAC AND it downplayed an unexpected and well-earned achievement for Bloo
