Who would have thought of using a cheese grater? Not me! I just frayed 2 pairs of skinny jeans. Not only do they look fabulous, they were simple to do!!! I can't wait to fray a pair of shorts. Thank you!!!!
Pro tip from a 5’4 person, after cutting off the bottom however much you need, run the jeans through the wash and dryer, it comes out perfectly frayed!
Just a suggestion, buy a white fabric pen for marking your cuts either while you're wearing them or when marking for shorts. They're cheap and will make it so much easier on you.
So I got some skinny jeans and I cut Them but now they’re not as tight on my ankles do you have any tips on how to make them skin tight again just the ankle part got loose everything else is perfect 👌
I just thrifted a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt high wasted jeans, but I'm a shorty like you and wanted them ankle length, so trying this out. Also, I'm 50 and not sure if Mom jeans are fashionable for someone old enough to be a grandma. Ha ha!

Fill legs with rocks….. tie ankles closed with string. Strap a rope to your bike…. Drag the pant around on your bike ride😜 Then take them to your Dads shop grinder! Hang on tight! Best rip was from our Lab Rocko…. Puppy tug on the back leg 😄😉

I typically only get jeans that are loose in the thigh area when I’m cutting shorts!

Another great tool are trauma shears. They’re basically tough scissors we use to cut clothes off patients when they come into the ER 😉
