We have yet to cover a full, multi step correction. are these helping a bit? Want to see more?
Absolutely!
Apex Detail they certainly are!!
Brian, thanks a mil, this video is on point, Appreciate sharing knowledge
Apex Detail yes! Yes!
Roll on
One of the few that atmits its not about the Rupes or spending a TON of money, but its about the pads, the polish and the operator of the DA polisher.
Absolutely!! 👍🏻
"Hone in your skills and you can make anything work". Spoken by a true professional. Thanks Brian. 👊🏻
"Hone in on your skills and you can make anything work" soo true!!
I like this guy! Been detailing for 25 plus years and he tells it like it is. To all up and comers, study him, he’ll make your life less stressful.
*_Brian you continue to inspire us all. Love your work brother!_*
Thank you good sir!!!
Yes these are helping me. I used to run my machine too long over the panel now that I watch you I know just a few passes will do the job or let the panel cool than do another pass. Thank you these are great learning videos. Won't be open a detail shop but it sure helps me keeping my own vehicles shiny :)
Good to hear... glad they help a bit!
work 2 sections when your doing the seccond section the first one is cooled down
You are a true master of your craft!
Just have a bit of experience. Which I am happy to share!😁
Much much appreciated!
Thanks for the tips

Outstanding, informative video. I will be trying out 3D One, and will definitely try out Lake Country wool pads. Haven't used wool in decades!
Amazing! I'm under impression 🤩
Awesome! Learn something new every video. Thanks
Richard Perkins glad the vids help a bit.

Great to hear!!
Perfect video for me kinda of. I have 08. But was in a fender bender and the body shop resprayed what was damage and then some. 85% resprayed. So I will have to do some test spots on those panels. Only original is driver door driver passenger
Superb work! Thanks!!

Nice thanks now I can buy this one
Great work!
Thank you!!😁👍🏻
So much to learn, so little time! Great technique for a fall/winter prep.
Yes! Its about that time Steven!
Then again after winter
Thanks for sharing these tips and showing how without breaking the bank. Slower speeds mean lower panel temp, check.
thomkirby absolutely!✅
Good camera footage!
Yes! 16k subs almost! Incredible
David Saucedo just getting started here!!
Great information you are very knowledgeable. I just purchased a variable speed polisher. I only got it for my vehicle or if I do my aunts car or family. I bought it from TCP global it has a digital rpm speed display. It came with a bunch of different grade foam pads and a wool pad. I only paid $119 it is probably not that good but I will see.My Camaro SS is New I don’t really want to use it on it. I use Adams products and the ceramic boost. Thanks again for all the work you put into the channel 👍🏻
That polisher will do just fine. Good for enhancements and one steps.
I’ve been just as happy with the McKees FC-717 cutting compound and finish with Drive Auto Victory nano polish and seal. The compound removes most swirls and scratches, so the Drive polish has little work to do. And far less time, using fewer and faster passes. Leaves a sealant on the car too!
For a showroom car, nah? But EDD? ABSOLUTELY!
hugh shocker ur video was awesome good friend 🍻🍻
Richard Seem thanks as always!!
Great Video ...whare can you buy the 1 inch pads and cable kit?...thank you
Hi Brian firstly thankyou so much for all your time and effort you put into your videos - you are my go to channel now I have found you! I have a black cayman 987.1 (2007) in black and the clear coat seems very thin but like to keep it as scratch free as possible, but burned through the clear coat earlier due to in experience! :( Any products and pads you would recommend would be gratefully appreciated? I have bought a urofibre 50/50 but havent used it yet wasn't sure if it was too hard? So am using a chem guys hex red polish foam pad at present with final finish. Thankyou again and best wishes Jason
Hi Brian, Thank you for your videos! As a beginner, I find them helpful. My first project is a "C" class motorhome that has not been detailed for 5 years: Heavy oxidation and faded cracked decals. As you have the time, would you suggest what products would be effective? I have tried Meguiars RV/boat, and Ultimate finish. I'm using a rotary, and DA using wool pad then the Meguiars DA pads. Thank you! Dana
We would like to see a head to head series like the cutting series where you put on a board which stands out more on results and different categories as to a more day to day real world work for best results to one step polishes comparing Regenerate, Cut and Finish, 3D One, Perfect Finish, HD Speed I am sure many people look forward to this.
Hey Brian, it would be very nice when you could make a comparison between 3D One and Meguiars Ultimate Compound :)
cheers
This is amazing, Thanks!!! What polisher is the one you used on the small lettering/badges?
Great videos! What product can I use on my matte black paint on my baby? I want it to look an feel great without adding shine? I also have the 22d, what speed were you cutting on? Also what speed were your polishing on? Thank you so much!
Do you have a video which shows step by step -starting with washing - removing wax, preparing for paint protector, and finishing with wax?
Hi Brian. As always, great videos that are practical and with humility. I am really enjoying the new series about paint enhancements, one steppers, two steppers, etc. I just have one question. What is the name of the tool that connects to your polisher to be able to use very small pads. Can you please provide a link.
Brian! Excellent video, so informative and is really helping me hone my skills! I really like that flexible rotary extension! Where might one find that little setup?
Right here....maichemicalsupply.com/collections/rupes/products/rotary-nano-attachment-kit
Thanks for another great demo Brian. I've been getting pretty good results with Uro_Fiber pads, Megs D300 and D302, but I am really considering switching over to wool pads. There is noticeable reduction in vibration and improved rotation at 7:10 when compared to MF pad.
Absolutely...cooler temps as well.
Great content. Thanks for sharing. QQ: I just watched your 1 step video and they produced around 92gu on average. How much additional gloss was added in your 2 step process using 3D one with the polishing pad? Thanks
Hey Brian. Thanks for your videos, I love what I am learning from you. I have pretty much all the DA polishers. Do you recommend a rotary polisher to add to the mix and when is it a good time to use the rotary instead of a DA polisher? Also, is Sonic Perfect Finish a similar product to this 3D product?
Wow!!! your products and techniques are to say the least invaluable!!! I have picked up a wealth of knowledge on this channel and I consider myself experienced. Cheers Brian..
Hallo its good to know that you can get the Job done also with the normal and not expencive polish er, its very thru its about the skills
Yes! Exactly!😁
Great video sir, we all know how hard black and dark color cars can be a pain in the butt
Yes indeed!! Hope all is well Mickey!!
Apex Detail thank you very much and just taking one day at a time
3D One vs Griots correcting cream? Which has more cut and finishes better? I like the correcting cream very well, more cut than a polish, yet finishes just like one. If this 3D one cuts more, I might just give it a shot.
So many pad choices! I would like to here / see your thought process with pad selection. Keep cranking out more great videos !!
John Cover that video is coming!
Apex Detail thanks Brian. Looking forward to it
Congratulations, beautiful work, these polishers are better than menzerna?
Is there a recommended pad for a soft clear coat such as newer Toyota’s?
I get what you’re saying about name brand polishers I just buy name brands as that’s what I came into the game using 14 years ago on a flex tool no trend following here it’s just what I know
Were cant i found the 1" adapter?
To polish between emblems?
What is the best product to protect matte and satin finishes on trim paint/stripes/full matte and satin finishes without making them glossy? I hear your cannot use wax and silica products obviously which will make it look glossy.
What was the blue hat you used for the emblems? Also what speed did you use when cutting with wool and M.f?
Ty. So lower speed when cutting?? Higher speed when polishing?? How much pressure
What you recommend for a 2008 silver Lexus? It has swirls but not noticeable. Will Sonax perfect finish be good topped with a sealant?
hi brian.. can i add collonite 845 after this procedure then bead maker or turtle wax seal and shine? tyvm!
Yes , I’m in the first 13, 000 views ! I’m pumped !
I saw all the answers to my questions in the comment section and your links below section except, could you have done the entire process with the torq10fx? I found a deal on a used swirl killer 21mm and I don’t know if I should jump on it or if I’m fine with my torq 10fx
Hello Brian. Would the compound side of this particular polish blend be considered a heavy cut?
Do you ask the customer if the veichle has had a previous wax / coating applied?
Do you remove the previous protection before doing a one step and applying a sealer/coating?
How do you do a maintenance wash on a wax/ paint sealed car ?
Does a ceramic coating spray require the same maintenance wash as a more expensive ceramic coated 3year application?
What speed do you set the rotary at when using the small tool?
Brian. What pads do you recommend if you're doing a one step and it's let's say 90 outside? Would you use a pad that has ridges and stuff so it would be cooler? Or would you stick with the flat ones?
I want to pick this up for my first attempt at a paint correction on my black 99 vette. I've heard they are known for hard paint. I'd be pairing 3done with a Adam's swirlkiller and an orange cg hex pad. The swirls are light to moderate, do you think I would be able to get by with a 1 stage on this then protect ? I really dont want to haze my paint
How does wool achieve such incredible cut without the heat that microfiber produces?
Are you able to use the wool pad on a rotary?
How long does it take you to do an average size vehicle if your doing a clay buff and wax?
I’m assuming you used the torq10fx for the polishing stage. Could I do this complete two stage with a torq10fx? Also, curious what protection you ended up using for this vehicle.
When you tested with uro fiber pad and ONE polish what speed did you use on the torq?
Does that LC low lint wool pad leave halograms ?
Hey brian.i just had a question.i just bought a maxshine m15 pro da polisher. Should I replace the grease?
Did you wash the car after compounding and before "protecting the paint"?
Would this approach work with sonax perfect finish?
I set a record for myself today, I only hit the down speed button once using my 10 FX.
With the short throw on that polisher... it is one of the few I take above mid speed.
@@apexdetail85 I run both of mine at max speed most of the time. I slow them down around emblems etc, I really should get one of the polishers that can use 1" pads.
Can DA 15mm. & wool pad with 3D One removes 3000 grit sanding marks? normal white Honda paint btw
wow love dis video d tools u used pls love to buy dis tools and i will like to contact u later thks i learnt a lot
Sure thing👍
HEY BRIAN DAVE HERE WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR LIGHTBAR FROM THAT YOU USE ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR
What did you add for protection?
Whats the smaller rotary called. 2 inch pad
How do these pads work on soft paint?
How many pads do you use on a vehicle (the European Microfiber ones ) I bought a 6 pack and was wondering if you use a for a few panels or just one for the whole car?
Is the paint on a Hyundai Veloster soft?
What polisher do you recommend?
Hey Brian, this is off-topic but wanted your advice on restoring some shine to a 40s Plymouth the owners are just looking for some improvement of the paint that’s there .the car is far from being perfect there are some spots where paint is missing, so I was wondering what pad and chemical and tool to get the most out of a one step ,thanks again
That is where 3D ONE would work with a polishing pad...or Uro Fiber pad.
Cool :)
Would you compare it to Scholl S20?
Or Angelwax Regenerate?
Andrea closer to S20
Damn, the wool pad ran a TON cooler!!! I wonder what temp the LC MF cutting pad would run at? Thanks for the excellent video!
It would run at about 112 degrees.
Apex Detail crazy this wool pad finishes better than a MF pad. I think the misconception of wool has brainwashed me.
Great vid! Where do you get the real small plates and pads?
Ebay. Here is where I picked up the attachment...maichemicalsupply.com/collections/rupes/products/rotary-nano-attachment-kit
Apex Detail Thanks! Yikes! I got some attachments for my Dremel for like $15, a little more my speed!
where can i get this tool
Curious, how long does this take you? I know it can vary greatly pending on the vehicle and condition.
A full day
Please continue to do more videos like this they, in fact, do help a ton. As far as pads, it seems like you prefer the black foam finishing pad instead of a white foam polishing pad for the last step is this correct for most circumstances? Thank you again for all the videos +Apex Detail
Out of curiosity, what are you using to protect a car with this level of correction (good enough for a daily driver)? Thanks!
IGL Quartz 50 ml
Thanks Mr. B.
1. Do you find you need to constantly clean off/change the small pads because they load up with spent product/clear coat? 2. Have you done a head to head of One and HD Speed? There's a review out there that says there's no difference between the two.
The biggest difference between Speed and One is that Speed leaves a polymer/montan wax on the finish.
Speed's make up is 10% cut, 20% Polish, and 70% "wax".
ONE is capable of heavier cut.
I have a question, I just bought some 3d hd speed and was wondering does the protection hold up or do I need to top it with a carnauba or synthetic sealant?
The best topper for HD Speed is HD Poxy. That's what I use to use and turns out great. I just started using 3D One and using Wolfgang Uber sealant as my sealant for something new.
Ok thank you
Could you link the rotary extension driver used?
Wadester P. Coletrain maichemicalsupply.com/collections/rupes
Thank you sir 🤘
Greetings, can you do this type of work with a DA TorqX or do you need a more powerful DA.
I have a few DAs...but you can really make any work. Some just take a little longer than others.
@@apexdetail85 ok, thanks. Is just find or use the correct pad and compound.
