Next to the last show of the Todd 2011 Summer Tour. The band featured Todd on guitar, Jesse Gress on guitar, Prarie Prince on drums, Kasim Sultan on bass, and John Ferenzik on keyboards . Todd explained at the beginning of the show that this tour was a collection of songs that he felt, if he polled the audience, that these are songs the audience would want him to play. He said the setlist was designed to keep audience members from yelling out obscure songs they wanted to hear during the show. What followed was a dream setlist for the die-hard Todd fan. How many Todd shows in the past did we sit through "Love in Action" or "Lysistrada" and wished he'd played something/anything besides the standard rawk material. Well tonite he did just that. I did not look at the setlists or reviews posted prior to the show, which made the experience that much better. My big Wow moment was when he played "Determination". I was like Whaaaaat??? OMG! After each song in the set, my friend would say "about time he played something good". "Hawking" was also an unexpected high point. To belt that one out midway through a musically pretty tough set, was well, outstanding. Funny moment in the show: The obligatory drunk chick at the next table over yells out CLEVELAND! (because that what was printed on Todd's shirt). Todd replies - "OK now use that word in a sentence" ! Great band, great set, awesome show.

At 31:50.93, there is a glitch/freeze-up, and it does eventually start back up fully
and in-sync after about 8 stutter/stops at 33:09.37. So, there is approximately 1:18
missing from the song "Lucky Guy". And, reportedly, this problem was present on all
of the tramsmissions/broadcasts of this concert.
His music is timeless! A Wizard! A True Star!
Tod Rundgren: What a truly amazing musician, guy, person. No one like him.
His music lifts me higher...I admire his genius, his ability to constantly grow musically and the way he is constantly evolving. He inspires me, always has, always will. He defies age. Thank you Todd for sharing your gifts with my world. OMG your music makes me so happy!
What an amazing performance.... just a little background for you folks: Kas Sulton, long-time bassist for Utopia (who played so flawlessly in this performance) had just lost his wife his wife to cancer May 2011 (they met age 15 and married in 1980). God bless Todd and Utopia... thank you!
It just never gets old does it. Just as his catalog keeps expanding so does my admiration for this Real Man. Going to see him at the Palace of Fine Arts May 13th in SF and I am as excited as I was 46 years ago in Pittsburgh the first time I saw Utopia at the impressionable age of 17.
I love watching and rewatching this man performing his music. It doesn’t matter what song, or when. I just get so much from Todd!
I can't wait to see what Todd will do next. I love this guy. Whatever he does is fine with me. He can do no wrong.
Don't get me started on Todd Rundgren. He is simply one of the most important musicians/producers that has ever lived. What a song writer and when you get him behind the board, magic happens. Ask Mark Farner of Grand Funk. Todd is a fucking genius. I Saw The Light is my favorite song of all time, behind every Beatle song ever written.
Ok - we wont get you going then..
Yeah...
Awesome concert....Todd Rundgren is truly amazing....
I don't know how much the tickets cost for this show but twice the amount was not enough ! I haven't been this entertained in a long time ! Todd's voice has gotten better with age !! I loved & listened to every second of this & don't know where he got the energy , but so happy he did !! Wonderful concert & Mr. Rundgren you are the BEST , I saw you with Darryl Hall & loved you then too !! Oh! by the way I'm a 70 year old lady ! Guitar was stellar !!
+Roseann Cacciatore Tickets was $35.00. This was a dinner show with two drinks minimum.
+Slfs747 tickets to Ringo's All Stars/TR in Reading, Pa., this summer,$100.00 for the cheap seats.
I live about 3 minutes from this vinue. The Coach House is in a warehouse in San Juan Capistrano, CA. I have lived in the area for 35 years, and this place has been here longer than I have. This show fell on the night before my birthday and my family wanted to take me to dinner. Instead I headed to the Coach House hours before the Sold Out show in hopes of scalping a ticket. Successfully doing so, I entered to experience a totally Magical Night. Todd and band were in rare form and wife Michelle was there, too. I still have the first two Nazz records from my youth that kicked off Todd's incredible career. Forever changing and experimenting, Todd is one of the most polific songwriters of our time. Through a 50+ year career he has shared his life and spiritual journey through his music. By far, one of the the greatest... but most underrated, underappreciated and misunderstood artist of our time. "A Wizard, A True Star 🌟"
God Bless you for still being a "TODDY " at 70 !!! I'm 57 and hope I can still listen to REAL ROCK AND ROLL till the day I go to UTOPIA !!!!! 💞💞💞💞✌🏻️✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
“Todd’s voice has gotten better with age”? You must be high. It’s NOTHING like it used to be. Sadly. Go listen to Ballad and tell me this Todd’s voice is better. No way.
What the heck!!! Omg, how much more can my ole heart take!!! Todd, youre killing me! Please dont ever stop!
What a man/real man.
Holy Shit! Amazing Show & Fantastic Sound. Todd is killing on guitar too! Thanks for sharing 1228!
THANKS: for posting this concert, now I will be graced with the best music in the land 2. to God for giving us Todd 3. Todd for being gifted, articulate, Hot and funny and not taking requests. and being cool. I GET TO Watch this anytime I get that spare moment, Winning!
Wow, thanks for sharing this entire TR concert!!
+ranatlas When I was a child I spoke as a child... I see with my heart... but I should know better. When the time comes everybody then you must decide and be a REAL MAN!
Great songwriter, great singer, great performer.
Just keep dancin Todd ! loved it when you were in your 20's and love it now !
oooh baby baby, todd, u r the best/had almost forgotten why "we" girls all were "in love" w/u in the 70's-u stil got it/so talented-you R a gift from The God to all of us, thank you.
I agree he is also a starman don
What do you mean, we "were" in love with him? Always have been, always will be. 🖤💙
NEVER heard him sing better - and I've been at his shows since 1974...Todd IS God!
Really? REALLY? I'm just at the second song but he sounds terrible. No surprise it's the second to last show on the tour.
Looking forward to Determination.
One of the great Todd solo shows I saw, at Slim's in SF 1997, he opened with #1 Lowest Common Denominator and closed the set with Hawking, which my DAT tape ran out on. :'(
His voice is terrible during this set. Love Todd but his vocals here are subpar.
I wish that were actually true. He’s been my favorite artist forever and i saw him in ‘74 as well. Go back and listen to Ballad. Or go listen to the original of Love of a Common Man from Faithful. That’s the second song. His vocals are terrible comparable to what they were. So sad.
This was an awesome tour! Shocked me by playing a few classics he rarely performs live! Thanks Todd, Kasim, Jesse & Prairie!!
30 yrs ago, @ the coach, the first Indevedelist. Tour, the show was late because the pinao was late , I m. Looking thru the window, the crew was scrambling . The show went on & I shuck his hand & thanked him for the show. We were 2 rows back & center stage . that was like the 10 th show I've seen. Many more sence than ,thanks Again Todd
How does he just get better and better over time?
Awesome! Thanks for posting this great show. Man, so many great years of Todd and he’s still killing it!
I saw Utopia with the Hello People Band back when the sh*t hit the fan in the mid to late '80s at the Roxy on "Sunset Blvd"! What a great show! Todd still has the "chops" , and that mad three finger thing he does on guitar! Northern Alberta Canada here 🇨🇦!
Thank you so much for uploading all these amazing Todd concerts, YOU ROCK !!
great concert todd is awsome live
God bless you,for this most awesome footage of Todd's show!! You know how it is .. no matter when his shows are posted.. It's 2018..I LOVE TODD( since 1984) Utopia days!!
One of his best shows! ❤❤❤
Thanks for uploading this and giving some background info about this show/tour. Much appreciated! I got my Todd appetite reignited after watching his performance on Live at Daryl's House TV show. That is a nifty little show!
He loves what he does and it shows!
+Diane Howley It is a good show..it's a memory on Facebook today..so many don't get him, and it's sad..Looks like his Hat from the Amsterdam show he just did a few weeks ago..
Just found this gem- am shocked. Who else but Todd could make the crossover to front the Cars-which was maybe the tour before this one.
And we love what he does
The voice of an angel❤❤❤❤
This was the second to last show on this tour so his voice was a bit taxed but STILL AWESOME !!!! That's Todd never disappoints !! ❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
holy fucking shit - the PRINCE!!!
Real man. You see how much todd loved brian wilson. Such a treasure.
Just saw him again Sunday night @ the Uptown Theater, Kansas City, Mo 7-3-22. First saw him @ Arrowhead Stadium, KC Mo July 1976.
Saw him in Cleveland great show just one victory I will never forget
Saw this show in London...twice. Then a shortened Bossa Nova set at the legendary Ronnie Scot's in Soho. Was a great week! I am salivating over the State visit in June.
My wonderful friend took me to Bearsville for this tour. Best sounding concert I've ever heard him perform (and I've heard/seen a few others in the past,,,with Utopia as well). I was so touched...a young 10?-year old was just waiting for Kasim and he obliged engage in conversation. Anyway...great show.
Love the guy for so long. THANK U for this show and upload.
The Master Song Crafter !
Awesome song... my god, Todd has such incredible ideas !
Had the experience of a lifetime last Sunday in Missoula MT
TheRealBarbDwyer ... XOX ...

Kaz Sultan makes Utopia, UTOPIA. The greatest Bass/Singer alive today, I.M.H.O. .......Todd is God.
Todd is not God , but he is wonderful , and I agree that Kasim Sultan is a great singer . I love his voice .
@@gordonlandreth9550 Todd Is A God
@@mariovega1481 When I see him walking on San Francisco bay I will agree .

iC Digital Assets Me too

Me four !
todd is amazing i i hope to see him in nj
This is such a great show/band/setlist. Todd is God.
This band is f*&^ing tight! They've been playing with Todd a long time. He's obviously loyal to his musicians.
Prairie Prince kills it on drums, this band has everything...
Prairie is a great drummer and long time Todd pal.
the songs that make up the medley (number 18) are: "I'm So Proud" (The Impressions) "Ooh Baby Baby" (Smokey Robinson and The Miracles) "La La Means I Love You" (The Delfonics) and "I Want You" (Marvin Gaye) .... when Todd does this medley the 4th song gets changed around, in the original album version the 4th song was "Cool Jerk"
I saw Todd Rundgren rockin' not so long ago. The blues that he does at 0:22:02 is real talent. He reminded me of a fresher Todd with power to create nice style although different than Utopia back in 1977.
Your description of the show and your editorial comments are hilarious. Thanks for posting this performance. I recently saw 2 Unpredictable Evenings live -- what a high! -- and now I'm in a mental ditch, so this helps. 🖤💙
I have this posted also: Todd Rundgren The Metropole Orchestra Amsterdam
Maestro !
Amazing performance!, wish I'd been there. Thought I would just watch a couple of songs, but it's now 12:30 and I can't pull myself away from the computer screen. He puts everything he has into each song, probably not knowing if his voice can even get to the next tune.
You might leave Philly but Philly never leave ya Todd uzzes soul as well as Daryl they both sing with such conviction
Had pleasure to be there with my good friend Tom Atkins, great show as always, thanks Tom for another great Todd concert memory. What a gem your very kind sharing, sending smiles and happiness
He brings it all back. Thanks.
One more thank you for posting this! The Todd concert we never thought we'd see....I got a chance to see this set in NYC.
Thank You for posting this! Seen Todd many times at the coach house
Its nice to see he still has his voice
Micheal Fowler ... it was only just a little while back Todd whizzed throo Melbourne Aus and his voice crapped out during the show and he actually sort of appolagized for it but kept going and it magically came BACK. BUT the sound tech that night just did not know how to tune a room. Still, it was worth it to be there and be able to shuffle up close to Todd and mingle with a room full of true fans...
excellent!! greetings from Chile!
Amazing concert. He's coming to Dallas in June and can't wait.
Just,Thank you !
Todd has always been there making such incredible Music. I can't calculate the number of Artists He has set Free! Love you Todd!
My new epitaph: "The song doesn't start on 1." 🖤💙
Espero que todos estos musicos que tocan una musica tan bella, realmente sean felices en sus vidas, sino, OMG, el resto de los mortales estaremos fritos.
The good old days. When he actually played his hits.
great tnx for this beautiful share
love is the answer............ thank you
saw todd a few weeks b-4 this at bearsville,ny...i was blown away by the set list as well...double expresso was stuck in my head(still is,sometimes)haha..thanks for posting...the show he did w/ the metropol orchestra last year is great too....
Great Show!!!

Jesse Gress is such a groovy man.

I really respect him and love his music so much ❤ Just Awsam and Great man I have ever seen.👍🎵🌹
Thank you for posting this cfrey1228! I saw this tour in Tahoe I believe 2 nights prior to this show. In reading your notes, I must admit everything you wrote was EXACTLY like the experience I had. (Except for the obligatory drunk chick LOL) Thanks again for posting!
This the set he played on 3/26/12 in Tulsa at Cain's Ballroom. Incredible show!!
LOVE THIS CONCERT !!!! He does all his greats and also Some Marvin Gaye GOTTA LOVE TODDY STILL DANCING AT 70 !!!!!!
🌟Jesse Gress🌟😇
This is great! I rarely get to see videos of John Ferenzek in the band.
Enjoy my friend
a fine blues shuffle performance & the first I have ever heard by TR - no surprise how funky & confident - he mixed Butterfield and his ears are the biggest in the business, bar none.
how many more magnificent chord changes are we going to hear now that the blues 2-5-1 style is done?
great fucking show!!!!
I cannot imagine
I was at this show!
Todd reinventing himself as crooner, brilliant.
The 1st time i saw Todd was Cleveland stadium 1977. i saw this tour in Cleveland at a theatre.
Saw this same show in NYC. Outstanding concert.
Yay! I was there....
I’m realizing I like Todd best when he puts down the guitar and just sings!
There’s not a bigger TR on the planet than me. I first heard him in around ‘72 when my brother brought home Runt from college. I first saw him live in ‘74. First half of the show he played solo on piano and did stuff from Ballad, Something Anything and Runt. 2nd half whole band came out and did almost every some from AWATS which has just been released. Amazing show I’ll never forget. BUT this idea that his voice is better now? You’re crazy.
Love this!
fuck! shit! gOd dammit! 40 miles away and I missed it FUCK
That s it I hope that Buffalo Grass comes in medicinal version, I am on it already .
see you there! Though its Prairie Prince and Kasim Sulton Im really going to see!
Todd Rocks. Notice the Cleveland shirt.
:)
I love how he fakes us out TWICE on playing "Hello it's Me" before he really does!!
Me three!
Don’t get better than this
Bloomington,Indiana, Todd with Utopia, Auditorium at IU,they played a "A treaty in Cosmic Fire"
The Real Man Tour,so trippy
Hey.. how much do we Fuckin love you.
