  • The Upper Barataria Marsh Creation project is building and restoring 1,200 acres of coastal Louisiana wetland habitat. The work is restoring habitat impacted by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

    Using the material that needs to be dredged from the Mississippi beneficially is great, but completely not practical to do indefinitely at scale to address the issue. if we really want to reverse this land loss trend we need to allow the sediment rich waters to flow on their own into the Delta. freshwater diversion projects are the only way (other than just removing the levees and reverting to a natural river).

    CZcams videos are about the viewing of the total action...the pond being filled with sediment and the machines that accomplish this right before our eyes...i want to see it being done start to finish. Give us the verbiage over the action...seeing you does not help

    90% of the $8B will go to bureaucracy, campaign contributions, kickbacks and favored contractors. 😢😢😢
