Prisoner's Dilemma IRL. However, you should have layed out the prices differently, so that cooperating would yield more money in total than betraying. For example if both teams cooperated, they would win 500 each and if one betrayed and the other cooperated, they would only win 750 (and not 1000).
Request Rule: if the first round BOTH teams choose red, the prize decrease 50% and processed to the next round. If one team chose BLUE in the first round they have to eliminate 2 people in the opposite team and the RED one have to eliminate 1 people in the opposite team and process to the next round. if BOTH teams choose blue they only need to eliminate one of each team member and process to next round. in the last round, both teams need to achieve the same color. if they choose red the prize decrease 25% and everyone wins, if they choose blue the prize still normal but everyone who got eliminated will get the prize too.

@@rmarr1163 yeah, because them A chose to win
This isn't even a full out prisoner's dilemma. Team A are just terrible people. In the real prisoner's dilemma, picking red is also a defensive choice. Here, there is nothing defensive about picking red.
So you can operate on one of two assumptions: the other team will pick red, or the other team will pick blue.
If you go on the first assumption, neither choice would make a difference to you, unlike in the real prisoner's dilemma. So might as well choose blue so the other team gets money.
If you go on the second assumption, then you're only considering two outcomes, either: your team gets $1,000 or both teams get $300. So unless you wanna screw the other team over, you also choose blue.
The other difference from the real prisoner's dilemma is that these are rewards, not punishments. So there really is no reason to pick red, unless you're a terrible person. And Team A proved that they are.
Good point. Kinda makes me wonder what it would have been like if they had made it more like the prisoner's dilemma. Instead of giving a chance to win the money, maybe they could both be given $1000 each at the start of the game and the money could be taken away based on their choice. That way the game is essentially the same but it feels like a punishment.
Anyway, Team A are indeed terrible people. They said they feel bad and even when given a chance to switch places, no one really came forward. They only pretend-volunteered. The captain girl should have given Jaq her spot because she kinda made him feel bad at the beginning while picking teams and making him the default option.

3:31 'I wanted someone to go away with something, even if it wasn't me'
that's when they won it for me
Yeah I don't think they are happy with "winning for you"
Yea they sure are happy because at least you think that "they won" because they care so much about your opinion.
shes a sagittarius, it makes sense
@@lynseylouise omfg it does, im a sag too

Mrbeast would do this but at the end everyone gets $10k each.
Nope, only those who would split would get the money
I was hoping the surprise rule is that the losing team gets 5K. Then letâs see team Aâs faces.
@@CuteC3 lol same but i thought they would change it and make the team that chose blue win because they are alot kinder
CuteC3 what are you doing here?
Dad except the selfish brats
Okay how fun is it that today I have a psychology exam at school today and this shows up in my recommended đ
Why noone talking about zaq like he wanted to use money on girlfriend that's so nice and nobody even chosen him to be in group till last !!
surprise rules suggestions:
1. Team A has to decide only one member can get the 1K. Watch them fight lol
2. Losing team gets 5K. Wait till you see the faces of team A haha
3. Someone in the comments mentioned this: they should switch envelopes ;) ohhhh boy
Rules number 2 is boring and cliche
1 and 3 are good but 2 is trashy
@@jo_nm9484 yeah but team A still gets the 1K, So it's a play on human comparison, will they still feel they have won? Will they be happy with the 1K? Will they regret it?
@@CuteC3 ur definitely right its not trashy at all
CuteC3 This would have been so hilarious! Sadly it wasnât like this
Group A only thought of themselves. Group B thought of what would benefit others. At least you made them face each other during the decision time.
TalesOfACaliforniaGirl well you should think of yourself first.
@@spookarofilms4276 your post makes no sense but ok
@@spookarofilms4276 Blue team had members that were financially struggling. That's like saying you're getting abused and your sibling is getting abused, and you call the police and escape your abusive parents by yourself instead of taking your sibling with you. Maisy could've at least gave a dollar to blue team's members.
Love Puppy no thereâs a difference between a game and being a child whoâs abused lol
@@idkboutthis6402 I didn't say they were exactly the same I'm talking about their actions and how the other person or thing was being thoughtful though the other one is thinking about themselves. Didn't say the situation was as severe as the other just saying the overall actions that happened
I would definitely be friends with the ppl who picked blue they seem so nice and thoughtful
I love this channel
I swear the Chet here is exactly like I imagined someone named Chet would be
Accurate I grew up with a chet. Clearly they are all the same.
I worked with a guy named Chet and he was exactly like this! đđ
YESS
He kinda reminds me of Chandler from Mr. Beast
Such a hypocrite, says he believes in God (Christian presumably) yet only cares for himself and was happy to laugh in the losing teamâs faces
That blonde girl definitely didn't want to share, and sure as hell didn't feel bad. I hate it when the nice guy finishes last. Humanity, we're just a bunch parasitic lizards.
humans are humans. EVERYBODY INSIDE WANTS THE MONEY. itâs life. i
Sofia ParĂ© it doesnât matter they all wanted some money. they shouldâve chose blue.
She felt bad because she feared how she would look in hindsight, not because she regretted her choice to win more money. She half-admitted that. I think she deserves some leniency for being disingenuous. Playing the red card is fair play, just not the result I'd like to see. Someone who wants to share the money is also tempted to pick red when they expect to lose.
I donât blame her. Sheâs just playing the game. It was a really smart move on their part because they had the other team pegged as selfless. Unfortunately, good intentions didnât win the game. Donât hate the player, hate the game.
Ew wtf is this comment itâs just a video
Commenting âcause Zaq, you seem like a cool dude to kick it with.
7:03 đ literally Jean from Attack on Titan.
Team A:
âIm a everybody eats personâ
âSameâ
âYeah me tooâ
*no...no youâre not*
jean is!!
Technically they made the most logical decisions for an everybody eats scenario.
If both teams chose blue everybody gets 100 dollars if 1 team choses red and the other chooses blue everybody gets over 150 dollars if they split it evenly.
lil chris tuten
But Team A didnât share with Team B. Are you kidding me? They took it for themselves
@@CuteKristy179 jean shared :((
@@CuteKristy179
There is a 2 letter word in my comment which is used several times.
Team A didnât convince me with the false pity. As a group, they had already established within the discussion that Team B would most likely pick blue. If they were so sure, a group of caring individuals would have also picked blue to ensure that all parties received something. Maisyâs attempts to appear regretful were useless because she followed them up with something selfish on all accounts.
Naw Jean was actually willing to switch and he took them out for dinner.
The point of the game was to win as much money as you can. They won. It's not selfish.
The people who chose red will prolly go far in life because they prioritize themselves over randoms. Life isnât fair get over it bud
Well I mean Maisy is a Gemini so sheâs two faced..........liar!!!

The surprise rule should've been giving the blue team double the money.
vynz i was waiting for that :â0
I know RIGHT!
What if they both picked blue though?
@@angryviking8808 they would get 600 ig
Brendon DeRosia they explained it in the beginning, both teams get 300 dollars
loooool reminds me of prisoner's dilemma (thx my game theory prof)
âJohn spells his name J-e-a-n and he says his name is John..
what more can I say.â đ
The mindset behind choosing red is either we get everything or everyone gets nothing, period.
It makes no logical sense to take blue, as blue yields 50% chance of nothing, 50% chance of 300; whereas red yields 50% chance of nothing or 50% chance of 1000.
Yeah it makes a lot more sense to pick red but blue is the kinder choice. If it was up to robots they would obviously pick red but humans are more emotional
remove the period, because choosing red allows you to split the 1000 6 ways which yields more than blue
@@artistictutorials3246 If that's what you're planning that's good.
@@hectorearnshaw1554 that would be if you are robots.the problem here is that there are variables. Multiple multiple variables, because they are humans. Emotions, personality play a role in this, so the probabilities don't weigh as much
