My man really spent 1 night in an Argonian village and proceeded to write an entire story about how unknowable and fucked up it was
Hahahaha
This made me laugh harder than it should have.
Wouldn't that be the shadow over insmuth? I thought that this story would be in red guard lands. Or worse the land of elswyre
@@lornbaker1083 it's an Argonian village in Elswyre.
cat named pondscum man
Dagoth has perfect voice for Lovecraft
The concept of Dagoth itself is kinda lovecraftian
@@FunkyDeleriousPriest true, in fact there is so much lovecraftian stuff in tes that its kinda amazing
â@@paulusillyriusiudathaddaio2530 Especially surrounding Herma Mora.
Considering his name he should
I could imagine Lovecraft having a voice like Dagoth. Guy was a tall string bean with a big head.
"the sacred reptiles" is so cursed coming from Dagoth
"What a grand and intoxicating narrative. Come, Nerevar. Let's enjoy stories written by a man after my own sensibilities."
don't ask Dagoth Ur what he named his Khajit slave
This brought a really warm smile to read. I'm in.
â@@s.a.l.1974 "Oh my oh my I have found you, N'wah (Don't you run from me lil' N'wah)"
Dagoth Ur reading ominous lovecraftian stories with racist undertones is literally just being him.
cuck
Honest question from a forgeiner, is this story racist?, why?
â@@medicorene not this particular story but a lot of Lovecraft's works had many slurs and the man himself was so extreme that even the KKK got sick of him
@@deadboy1255 Lovecraft was probably mentally ill & social anxiety. Doesn't excuse racism but it was more common back then, so he kinda naturally fell into that category.
Today he'd probably be a nameless drinker at home who's posting cringe content on social media. So basically ur average joe.
@@deadboy1255 Yeah, a LOT of Lovecraftâs works boil down to âthe spooky thing is actually a metaphor for black/poor/mixed race people.â
He was a great writer and thereâs definitely value in his stories, but itâs good to be aware of the undertones.
For most of the book I was like "actually meeting an alien species here on earth sounds really exciting", and then it turns out they're magic and hate humans.
Magic and science mix alot on Lovecraft, you cant tell which start and ends
Back when this was written walls between scifi and fantasy weren't as solid as today.
â@@GeneralCalculus the two genres interacting more often would be nice.

Only now occurred to me.. Dagoth is the best ai voice Iâve ever heard
Now we just need to get Hermaeus Mora in on this!
thats gonna triple the vid length
A real snooze fest even, Be asleep by the second sentence.

This is some synchronicity at work, I just started reading Lovecraft months ago and am now reading The Nameless City bruh

I remember reading this one!
Thereâs a LC story pretty similar to this one about a guy getting into a pyramid. Iâd love to see it read by Dagoth
Mountains of madness right?
@@fashydecimus3783 I looked it up, it's called "imprisoned with the pharaohs". I'm pretty sure it's on this channel somewhere by now
@@fashydecimus3783 Imprisoned with the Pharaohs AKA Under the Pyramids. Written in collaboration with Harry Houdini. Pretty decent story despite the unnecessary Houdini. But yeah the later part of At the Mountains of Madness is also similar now that you mention it.
@@jamesprout9412 under the pyramids, is that the one with the two friends looking for an amultet or something? Like one is a native of the region and the other is American or smth? I remember reading something like that it was pretty good!
@12:20
Of Couse Dagoth Ur would think of reptiles as "monstrosities". He hates Argonians
No man they were his best slaves. Oh wait that came out wrong.
He actually sounds like the audiobook on audible
Dagoth Ur's been getting book recommendations from Hermaeus Mora It seems!
Yooo I was just talking about this! Dagoth Ur has a great voice for Lovecraft. Plus, this was my introductory story to Lovecraft's work. Nice!
Canât remember if I read this or rats in the walls first.
ââ@@theylivewesleep.5139 I love both, but rats in the walls sticks with me more!
Okay, but 9:40 is the start of some FIRE bars
Quoth the raven: "Nevermore"
This is actually my favorite Lovecraft tale
I was going to suggest that you do "The Doom that Came to Sarnath" another great story from Lovecraft's "dreamcycle" which are more fantasy horror than sci fi horror and sometimes not so terrifying at all, but more 1920's etc. weird fantasy/fiction, but apparently you already have so I'll check that out. Dagoth Ur voicing these is a very nice touch, well suited for those particular stories. Thanks dude!
Nothing like a lovcraftian horror reading lovcraftian horror.
Now that i think about it, Dagoth Ur would make a pretty convincing Lovecraft protagonist, or antagonist ; couldn't really tell wich.
Love this concept, I'm working on a very similar project!! Audiobooks are still on the come up were gonna be huge
i'd listen to a whole-ass audiobook with Dagoth Ur's voice, like legitimately
You just did
Yeah ngl better then a normal voice actor
Same
Dagoth Ur and Joshua graham audio books would be god tier.
You just did LOL
The audiobook I didn't know I needed this is amazing
BRILLIANT! A great, creative use if this AI. Bravo. đ
Honestly you should do whole audio books in Dagoth urs voice, thereâs definitely an audience for it as the voice is nice and people like audiobooks
Thank you for giving me this in Dagoths voice...
And introducing our brothers and sisters to H.P> Lovecraft, If they hadn't heard of his work before
Great work!
You know who should've read this? The Ancestor from Darkest Dungeon. It seems right up his alley.
It is fiting that his voice given sound by abominable intelligence is the one witch narrated this tale.
These are amazing. The Dagoth Ur voice really adds to the creepy atmosphere. Could you please do "The Whisperer in Darkness" or "The Shadow out of Time?"
Yeah! Actually those two are recorded but still need edited. They should be out soonish
@@Alaylexamazing. Please keep posting Lovecraft read by Dagoth Ur. The combo is absolutely perfect. If I could make a request, âThe Rats in the Wallsâ would be perfect for his voice. And I wouldnât mind Shadow Over Innsmouth either!
â@@thelasttaarakian I second that on Shadow over Innsmouth.
Holy sht im reading lovecraft on my own and his voice is PERFECT for narrating it!
I'm going to do all lovecrafts works so stay tuned!
@@Alaylex That going to be expensive with the AI.
@@arnowisp6244 Honestly, most of lovecrafts stories are like 4-6 pages long.
The call of cthulhu and the ones he's actually known for are longer, sure but even then they are only like 40-80 pages, at maximum.
Several of the shorter stories fit in even the 5$ tier, and maybe one of his more well known works a month?
I would legit listen the whole chapter of Ecclesiastes with the voice of Joshua Graham. Please do so.
I really like the idea! I'll have to do some research first but I'll add that to my list.
This is too fucking good. Nameless city was always in my top three lovecraft stories and this is just great.
12:20 Surprised he didn't just say Argonians.
I can't think of a better narrator for H.P. Lovecraft than Dagoth Ur. Well done, sir. đđđđđ
I came here after seeing stuff about NEOM in Saudi Arabia. The great walls lost to sand, the tribes hating it for unknown reasons (they forcefully removed Arabic tribes to build it).
I have a strange feeling that this story will be seen as prophetic one day.
The crossover I didn't know I needed.
I'll name it Kogorun. But remember lost does not mean empty.
I could listen to Dagoth Ur, The God Emperor from Alfabusa TTS (The VA, not the TTS), or Lanius from fallout, or even Joshua Graham read any book. They have amazing, calming, voices.
People talk to Lanius?
@@Her_Imperious_Condescension LMAO
I never would have imagined that I needed this, but the moment I saw it, I had to listen. Now I have to hear all of Lovecraft's stories read by Lord Dagoth.
I was looking for the Elden Ring Nameless City, but hey Lovecraft and Dagoth Ur. This was something I didn't know I needed. Also now I suspect that was a deliberate Lovecraft reference.
I hear Lovecraft had a great fondness for Nâwahs
Omg I didn't know I needed this but I need all of ittttt
Bedtime stories with grandpapa Dagoth Ur.
Keep on making these buddy. They are amazing!
didnt notice till the end that the words dagoth were more than shitpost rambling. i just sat here listening to lovecraft
Dagoth Ur's cat's name
Wow this blows my mind. I didn't know I needed Dagoth Ur to read me scary stories until now
This is absolutely wonderful! Thank you.
PERFECTION
Dude I was thinking about doing just this kind of content, kudos bro.
"The Doom that Came to Sarnath" please
Should be up now!
Great content keep it up. Would love to hear tales from jack london and Juan rulfo
I've been thinking about Jack London, Juan Rulfo is a great idea too!!
Good to hear
Very good pleas make more
Yes more of this please
Story from H.P. lovecraft.
Thumbnail is from elden ring.
Read by Dagoth Ur.
This timeline is weird, not complaining tho, this is right up my alley.
this is the end-all be-all of AI voice technology
That was actually chilling
The beginning of this story reminds me of Petra
Anyone else keep looking behind them when listening to this?
This makes it even darker
more please.
How come out of all of the tactics and strategies I tried to use to sooth my restlessness, that just simply jacking in my ear plugs and putting this on I fall asleep soundly and peacefully?
Can You do the Whole Boom?!, I actually wanna Hear the Rest of this!đđ LOL
yoyo what?! This is INSANE
i was thinking this what was was needed, was looking for it xD
This is great
The future is now, and it is glorious.
I was never completely sure up until this very moment that AI will one day take over the world.

So the memes were funny but this is actually incredible and I love it
Weâve forgotten more than we know
Dagoth Ur is easily just as good as Conrad Feininger
Listening to this as I fall asleep
I hope you have sweet dreams!
should do the mountains of madness and under the pyramids, crazy stories!

Dagoth kind of sounds like Art Bell.
Can I have more of this
why, yes you may
Werenât you recently on Joe Rogan?

Your next my friend, Dagoth to H.P. , is Joshua Graham reading the bible, golden godlike readers
Make a mod for morrowind where you can go to dagoth ur for story time
Who misread it "the nameless King"?
Can you do "no longer human"?
That'd be a really good read! With it's length It'll probably take me a little while to get to it but, it's on my list.
