I have to say, it's an unnerving experience when someone who you really don't like actually makes a brilliant point!
It's considered ' bad manners ' to wear a hat indoors ! Not sure why, but most people don't wear hats indoors.
My father wore a cap every day, always took it off inside. Its an act of respect

He got out of that fairly handy, typical politician, never answers the question, maybe he gets a 'hat off allowance' in the Dail, it wouldn't supprise me if even his oulfella originally tabled the 'motion' of a hat of support allowance for country politicians, who have to take their seats in Dublin, hats off to them all lol

The hat's a gimmick, like Boris' hair and like whoever untucking his shirt (you never tuck shirts, lame). But the hat is a badly advised one. Traditional manners, everywhere (except America, who are Philistines) is take your hat off indoors. It's disrespectful not to. He's obviously aiming for 'rebel, non conformist' as his gimmick (and it is, because he has no substance otherwise, I've watched a fair few clips of the Irish parliament/politics now. Not impressed with Michael. Slagging is all he does).
