I think it's a great review.. full of detail.. interesting pair of ear phones / buds.. nicely done.. 👍
Fiio did some magic with these FF3 buds, they call it "drum bass cavity" or "bass boosting flute design"... or whatever lol. Most IEMs have louder bass but they sound like when you hit a pillow. I own some expensive IEMs like the Variations and IER Z1R, they all have superior sub bass rumble, but I don't get the same punch like the FF3, it's so weighty and addictive. Maybe because of the open design, larger drivers or something... I've stopped buying IEMs recently, I am looking to buy more buds like the FF5 and DIY stuff

How does it compare in the bass to the FF3S version with detachable cables?
15.4mm housing gives me pain over time.... would be interested if this (14.2mm shell) cost less....

How do these compare to the Venture Electronics VE MONK Plus? ☺️
I only have the og VE Monk. Haven't listened to it for a few years so I couldn't accurately say (I'd have to dig through a bunch of boxes to find it). But I remember having some special moments on the Monk whereas the FF3 only gave me ok times. 🎧
