Jeremy was my first autograph. It was in Las Vegas after he won. He was the nicest person. We waited after the race for an hour. It was what started my nerding out over SMX

Another excellent episode, gentlemen. Well done. However, I am uncertain about Kellen's opinion that Webster is not 'elite' based on only two races in the United States on a very privateer Honda. For instance, I do not believe Cooper Webb would achieve significantly better results on that bike after two rounds, and I would certainly consider him to be of elite status.

Lewis you need to work on some patience when Kellen is talking. You dont want him to drag it or you want him to hurry up we get it but people cant just change themselves to make you feel better. Be patient accept peoples flaws. I want lewis to go see a counselor

Just an FYI about Webster, he is legit, he is leading Jed Beaton he raced GPs for what 5 years Beaton, he's second in the Aus Pro MX series!
As a sponsor, though what is the benefit to me or a company wanting to send Webster to the US, if my main market in in Australia to[promote my brands in and around Australia, now thee maybe some benefit if my company or others were distributing or selling in the US market or others!
But in the main we are sponsoring for this market! We don't want to jeopardies that and if a rider can get better support here than they can at GPs or at US national level and be paid accordingly then this is why you have these situations across the globe in MX!
That said I think its great the team let him and supported Webster to go to the US for those rounds, risk vs reward, if he got injured could cost him the Aus Pro Title and against Beaton he has real world class level competition, not counting the rest of the great talent in there
Something is very broken at MXGP level, in the 70s and 80s you didn't have an EU, a single currency or open borders, yet you'd get 90-120 riders per class lining up to qualify, at least 40 rider gates, even 2 row starts at one time. 45 minute races and proper works bikes! In economies that were dog shit compared to today!
So what's gone wrong, that the best riders or the best talent world wide let alone in Europe can no longer afford or be allowed to try to qualify for GPs and often domestic markets are better in some cases not all.
Again I use Jed Beaton as an example, now he's come back to Australia, I don't know the reasons, maybe he's had enough, maybe he couldn't get a ride, maybe he got a better deal and option in Australia.
But something is broken and not just in GPs, they are actually doing good things it looks anyways at EMX level as talent is coming through the 250s prove that! For now!
I say that as also in the US for now it looks good but the foundations to fix what's wrong is continuously ignored, like professional Marshalls, Medical, Prize money and profit share from gate takings, a Pro sport where the athletes have to pay to play! No where else does that happen except Moto!
You go down this list PTO and see the talent from past and present its no joke list maybe better overall than US MX level overall in terms of depth, maybe not pure skill or talent, but that also comes from opportunity, good team and good equipment at the highest levels.
Still, Webster has made it happen.
BTW Coppins should have won a title and so should have Darryl King in the 90s, maybe more than one!
Also add one thing, F1 is not a good comparison actually many seats are bought, not come through F3, F2 and been the best drivers, they bring the most money and paid sponsorship, rarely do the 2 combine, there are way better drivers out there from pure talent and results! F1 is a joke frankly, its all money! yes still takes allof of skill, but the best drivers no way! Politics and money rules F1..
Best comparison if using that would be Indy, but who knows! I don't really follow it that closely these days!
But MotoGP and F1 clearly are about technology, politics just looks at the fact no Japanese brand is even in the top 10- in last few years and until the new changes in 2026, cant see it changing!
