Toys R Us Closes for Good Today and the Scenes Are Bleak

- Friday, June 29 is the last day of business for all U.S.-based Toys R Us stores. Scenes from one of the remaining retail outlets show barren shelves, aisles closed off with police tape, and the last, unwanted toys sitting out like castaways. Signs proclaim deep discounts and going out of business sales, but there wasn’t much left to buy. The chain of toy stores filed for bankruptcy in 2017 in hopes of keeping the business afloat. But those hopes were dashed earlier this year. #InsideEdition
The next generation won't be here to witness the paradise it was.

I remember back in 2009 was the first time I visited toys'R'us to buy my first toy which was a Transformers bumblebee toy, I still have it and I will never forget that day, it was like a magical funland in there and now, it closed for good. I grew up buying my first 10 toys in there. Toys'R'us were one of my favorite childhood places ill never forget Toys'R'us. R.I.P.

It’s was a magical place and I’m in tears that I can’t go there anymore when I was 5 I would run down the aisles and find magical toys I bought a leap frog tablet there and I will forever cherish it...
This made my heart drop when I say this video but 3-4 years ago when I found out that they were closing all stores I was in tears the whole day

It's sad so see this place go out of business. But I'm grateful that I walked inside the store one last time before they shut they're doors forever, something I'll never regret in my life.
I almost cried watching this video. I loved Toys R Us since I was a baby. I used to go there sometimes with my family and it was hard to choose what to get since everything was cool there. Now the children in the future can't go there. They can't experience the Toys R Us fun. I didn't even do my last Toys R Us shopping before it closed. I feel so sad right now. It feels weird to be this sad over a toy store. I will remember this place forever.

Way before Facebook, CZcams, iPhones, or iPads, we had Toys R Us. Growing up in the 90s, I always looked forward to going to Toys R Us. Seeing every kind of toy or games on the shelf was a dream come true to me (any kids dream).
Yes, I do agree with everyone about Toys R Us being expensive, but they had everything Walmart, Target, etc. didn’t have. I think Toys R Us’s downfall wasn’t just because of their prices or Amazon beating them, it mostly has to do with the fact that most kids today don’t play with toys anymore. It’s all about iPads, iPods, iPhones & game systems now. Times have changed and newer generations changed with it.

Toys R Us was expensive as hell anyways. I can shop for toys on Amazon from the comfort of my own bed and still save money and get it shipped to my house for free.
