Call me a chocolate snob, I don’t care, lol! The Callebaut W2 recipe is a fan fav! It seemed to peel away cleaner with less breakage. I don’t know how easy it would be to serve, even with a hot knife… but I would definitely give it a shot! The Colour Mill f.s. colorants are my favorite for chocolate. I also use it in my Italian BC because of the high fat content. Tiffany blue has to be my absolute favorite color, because it is spot on! Thank you for sharing all your takes on cake trends and recipes. I have learned a lot of techniques that have stumped me in the past and kept me from attempting to make again ❤️ Thank you!

Hi Lisa! hehe 😅 not a snob at all! Callebaut chocolate is the best! I end up eating all the callets as nibbles. I tested cutting with a sharp knife (without heating it) it was easy with the real chocolate, hard with compound chocolate. Colour Mill Tiffany blue is my favourite with their hot pink! 🥰

Can I just say, your videos are always beautifully presented. You put a lot of thought into your work. Lovely to watch. I am not a fan of this trend, so unlikely to try it. BUT, I wonder if the mold would come away a bit easier if you let the cake temp come up a bit after setting. Just a thought. Thank you for sharing.

Hi 😊! aww thank you so much! 🌸. I think that could easily help it come off. I've found with silicone molds and when using candy melt or chocolate definitely helps!

Beautiful! Keep up the great work. Can you you please do a cake with whip cream frosting and strawberry. My daughter was a birthday coming soon and I wanted to make her cake. Please give me ideas. Thank you for all the great videos 👍👍❤️

Hi Brenda 😊, thank you so much 🌸. I won't be able to make such a cake at the moment. But I would use my current whipped cream recipe waltoncakeboutique.com/how-to-make-a-stable-and-delicious-whipped-cream-frosting/ and would add freeze dried strawberries into the whipped cream at the end and gently fold them in (trying not to over mix the frosting as it can make it to curdle). You could also add 1-2 teaspoons of strawberry flavouring instead of vanilla while making the whipped cream recipe. Topping the cake with fresh strawberries works great too!

Not related but may I know what camera you're using to film? Love the quality.

Use the fake chocolate with the improved technique so it will be an accurate comparison as to which one looks better.

I was thinking that too! I think pouring over the top as well helps to seal it better. I have another 3 designs so I will try with those too!

I prefer Real chocolate as it works better even though extra step of tempering it added bcz of its results.

Me too! I find you also get extra time to work with rather than being in a rush as candy melt or compound chocolate sets too quickly and it doesn't taste as nice!

My mold doesn’t want to part with the chocolate! Any tips?!

Hi 🤩, ohh are you using the same mold and what type of chocolate?

    • @juniperbush1442

@@WaltonCakeBoutique Hi. Yes it’s the same mold. It did come away eventually but a big chunk cracked off and loads air bubbles 😤. I have now used Callebaut chocolate and used water instead of cream. Seems much better. The mold is currently round the cake sitting in fridge! Fingers crossed!!🤞
