Let’s see….
I come to the US, must learn to speak English, become Americanized. In 3 generations, my grandchildren all speak English and completely lost all the culture and language I came with.
I live in the Fujian province of China, has been part of China for at least the past 1,500 years. All I speak is Fujianese, not a word of Mandarin, but can communicate with other Chinese by the written characters. I kept all my local culture and customs for the past 1,500 years and maybe will keep them for the next 1,500 years.
China has assimilated me like the Borg, but the US will never do so. I’m still scratching my head. I don’t understand. Someone please explain.
thanks for hosting DPG
#1 podcast show on the net!!!!!!!!! Sick ass into music too.
excellent interview, pls consider doing more with David--he is in no way CN friendly and can even be a racist towards Chinese sometimes, but he is willing to see whatever is (for the sake of the US)...he is smarter than most of the CN experts who are mostly propagandists.
Yeah he def gives off old school racist grandpa vibes, but I just attribute that to the "reformed neocon" identity. I think his view is inescapable in the west though, where racism is actually driven by a sense of civilizational superiority.
@@richardmackenzie1878if anyone is racist, it's the chinese supremacist like you
Wow: the wumao definitely like throwing that rascist moniker around when they have no other arguments to make! Funny thing how the most rascist and ethno-fascist people and party seem to reside on the Mainland. Funny thing too how the West gets on so well and trades with the Asian democracies of Japan, Taiwan etc. even tolerating Vietnam which also isn't extremist (nationalist).
He‘s not racist; he just doesn’t want to be labelled a Panda Hugger. The way he speaks about China’s progress is respectful and he is careful not to be overly critical of the dysfunctional and uncompetitive state of contemporary America.
Interesting guest... Listeners should also check out "Jerry's Take on China", Carl Zha, Cyrus Janssen, etc channels to interact live with others who have different perspectives. Really, really... broaden your info intake space 👀
@user-yx9ns1sc9l What He wishes??? He just listened to this Guys Interview. He's even willing to do the work and to take-in a variety of different information thinking all sides out. I even make sure. I watch a little bit of CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS, NEWSMAX, the Western and World Foreign News. Just so I can understand how and who are Lying to Us each Day. One last important thing He left a Chill Comments and then He was nice enough to pass on some Damn Good Recommendations for You to Learn from...
Ziocon
Fascinating! 😮 ( Green Fire UK )
The title is David's click bait or projection, it's never China's plan nor goal to dominate anyone--you need to know Chinese history to know it.
Let them cook. How America interprets China's intentions at this point is really no secret, it got to be negative. Chinese proposal is mutually beneficial.Of course China will be the one that benefits more from the cooperation, it is only natural this way when China got the finance and technology. I'm sure China would be happy to make arrangement to renegotiate when the power equation changed as long as the cooperation is still profitable for both sides. For the US, question is can they put up a better plan, coz badmouthing propaganda and secretly sabotaging aren't gonna cut it.
Xi has stated just the opposite, and if they are so perfect, never do anything wrong, always the victim.
Why are they taking over the entire South china sea?
It's not theirs.
Dr Gregory House MD would have a lot of patients to handle if he were real.
Investment driven, debt-to-GDP, may be China’s real problem, finally hearing from an expert who understands China
How could a westerner like this understands china thoroughly in n out, he just trying to scratch the surface to demonize china to gain popularity and subscribers to make money 😂😂😂
@@user-gm8rk7uz2sit doesn't take much for a westerner or any human to understand china thoroughly...china is pure evil. And what do you mean by "demonize" china? China is already the World's worst demon, you can't "demonize" something that is already an evil demon
Thank you for this opportunity to stare into the void of primitive capitalist Darwinism. Natural indeed! Lol....I must study this, as a Marxist, to understand the ideology destroying the habitable planet. It is important to go to the staunch defenders & elaborators, not just interpreted references. ❤ thanks...
Interesting guest. Of course it will be difficult to change a society that is a few thousand years old. The US by comparison is just a couple of hundred years old and was founded on stolen lands which were sparsely inhabited. So it's much easier to create the society you want and bring in lots of migrants to fill it up. Although it seems that if the US wanted to make social and political changes it would be more difficult to do it now after 300 years of being established.
Hilarious tripe😅
I really liked the guest, but not the interviewer. He interrupts too much when the guest is making good points. I guess the interviewer wants to show the audience how smart he is. Very annoying.
If you are a sinologist, you should at least know China doesn't think other countries can or must be like China, the reasons are due to modesty(still have a lot of problems itself), arrogance(even if you copy China, you can't be like China), and indifference(everyone needs to take care of their own business). Looking at China's history or reading Chinese philosophy, you will easily know that. Chinese don't have that sort of missionary fever. China will feel happy if you want to "learn" from China, but that should be voluntary(A bit naive, also why Chinese is not widely spoken as English or Spanish). Even if some countries want to ask for "guidance" from China to boost its own development, China will say you need to find the one that suits yourself. When China called itself middle kingdom, it's more about the center of the area, not of the whole world. Especially in ancient times, when no country really knowed what earth looks like, China's idea of the world order was a multi-center one. During different times in chinese history books, you will find the records of knowing of roman empire, persian empire, osman empire and so on. They were recognized as powerful countries. Chinese knew they were different from China and thought that's how things should be.
Your guest's position on how immigration will supposedly dave Germany and China is laughable, at best. In no way shape or form are the people coming into those countries either willing to culturally integrate into those respective societies, nor ar they capable of fulfilling the necessary roles within the economic sphere of specialized labor or skilled positions. If anything those immigrants will inevitably represent both a political hurdle, as well as an economic burden- neither of which Germany nor China can weather.
China won't allow them in their country to start with. They know better. Or they will re educate them
Now Goldman supports Trump for emperor of America. Ao stpd😂😅
I suppose u think the old man, who is just a puppet, has handled China and Russia, and the m.e., and Mexico, better.
He has empowered them, probably because he's compromised
Using imagination to discredit China😂... that is your hobby
Using CZcams comments section to deny china's evil doings...that is your hobby
this is the worst bs.
👎🏽 for the guest.
There is no such thing as a Mandarin Caste! Do you even know what caste is?
The Madarinate is comprised of highly educated elites. Hence, the Chinese have upward social mobility based on personal academic and intellectual achievements.
The political elite (if one can even call them that) are exceeding wealthy compared to the masses on the Mainalnd and everywhere else. That's a "Mandarin Mafia" class of princlings if ever there was one. But thankyou for giving me the new moniker.
Wow, amazing guest. Learnt a lot today.
