  • The Swayamvara Parvati Chandrasekhara Temple
    is conceptualized and founded by the Govardhana Girishwara Devasthanam Trust with the blessings from Kanchi Periyava. The temple will be located at Pulipadu Govardhanagiri Village, Pichatur Mandal, Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh, spreading across 3 acres of land with scope for further expansion. The proposed temple is situated around 75 km from Chennai on the Chennai-Chittoor-Bangalore National Highway 716 B (Freeway under construction).
    The temple site was selected based on eleven parameters as mentioned in Kamikagama.
    The central theme of the temple endeavor is, good physical & and mental health where one can experience abundant peace, tranquility and grace from the presiding deities Goddess Swayamvara Parvati and Lord Chandrasekhara.
    The temple consists of the following:
    The central circle hosting tall statues of Lord Siva & Parvathi(around 20 ft) and the Bana Lingam
    Rudra Circle consists of eleven Rudras (Ekadasa Rudras) adjoining the central circle.
    The Namakam and Chamakam Circles representing Namakam and Chamakam of SHRI RUDRAM with 11 pillars representing Anuvakas
    The Nakshatra or Star Circle consists of Deities corresponding to the 27 stars (Nakshatras).
    The Aditya or Surya Circle consists of 12 Adityas and Surya Namaskara poses starting with Namaskara Mudra.
    The four corner deities outside the concentric circles will be Vallabha Ganapathi (NW) Murugan, Valli and Devasena (SW), Swarna Akarshana Bhairava & Navagraha (NE) and Sita, Rama, Lakshmana and Hanuman in (SE).
