Jodie - this interview with James Martin is superb beyond words. I connect so easily with James’s preference for classic cars, the driving experience they offer and his dispensing with the traditional niceties in favor of being sincere - they are absolutely wonderful.
Your grace and charm in presenting James with an open forum, while at the same time prompting him with questions to which he had most unusual / unexpected answers makes such a great viewing experience.
Of course, all of your videos are wonderful, but this one is a cut above, or perhaps more fresh than the rest. You and James did such a an exceptional job. Cheers!

In the courtyard was a beaut of an old racer 599 GTB (1 of 6 i believe), a Paris-Dakar mini, a Jodie Scheckter F1 car all smothered by fantastic memorabilia. I still have photo's of the first 2 as well as him coming out of his bi-fold doors into his garden in the P50. We talked of cars over a large portion of chocolate/Redbull gateau and he explained how he thought chefs were the modern footballers in terms of money, especially in America, lovely fella. Brilliant edition, James is spot on with his analysis of modern super cars, he should have been coming round the car auctions with me in 1976 when the bottom had completely dropped out of the market, he could have filled a barn with cars that would now be countless millions. The car I wish I'd kept ? a 1980 RS2000 in midnight blue, I traded it on for £4,500 it had covered 4000 miles from new, I raced a new XR3 down Blackpool promenade at 100MPH and the RS blew the tin pot XR3 away.

Great interview, JMs love of his cars is unbelievable, you can imagine him tucking them in at night and reading them bedtime stories.

You know someone's a proper petrol-head when they get the car instead of doing their house up. I know this because I am living in an old mobile-home but have a GR Yaris
Props to James he's spot on in everything he says about cars and what's cool and what's not. Great interview, probably the best car interview I've seen so you got an immediate sub from me Jodie.

A great video with a man after my own heart! I’ve got two classic cars both MG’s fitted out with bits I had when I was rallying in the 1960’s such as Marchal and Cibie lights Butler navigation lights and so on. I still do the occasional tours usually through the HRCR or the MGCC. A person who navigated for me recently sent me a picture thanking me for 65+ years of friendship. The picture was taken whilst he sat in El Gitano an Austin 7 convertible in the drive of my parents house looking out over the farm I used to work on hence my appreciation of this video. I also love tractors and have several Massey Fergusons alas 1/32 scale models! Well done and thanks for a great video forwarded to me by my son who conincidentally was born in 1978!!

Saw jodie race a maserati at Silverstone. Binned it into the gravel in front of me. She was so pissed. Love her, such a petrol head.
