Father Brendan Farewell July 2024

FAREWELL and Blessings from Fr. Brendan; Tis time to move on but at the same time it’s time to thank you all very sincerely for your hospitality, cooperation and generosity over the Past three years. Return to Moyvane-Knockanure was a great surprise to me coming back to the fields and pathways of my childhood. Much has changed over the years even if in general the villages remain physically recognizable. It was from this pocket of the world that I learned the basics of my faith which remains alive here, even if now expressed quite differently. Indeed, through my time here, I have grown in faith, inspired by the example of great men and women that you are in your different ways. Thank you for it all. Where I have hurt, sorry. I leave with fine memories of you all to remain in the storehouse of my consciousness and may the Lord continue to bless you and Fr Brendan Walsh in the years ahead. Slan.
