    This was a total life saver! Thank you! As a 61 yr old widow, I have 25 acres to maintain, and I have always struggled when the belt randomly comes off. This was a breeze!

      You are welcome! Glad it helped you! If it’s happening frequently may check to see if you need a new belt or if the spring/tensioner may be worn out.

      I bet its the spring, since it just pops off now and then although I rarely hit anything. The belt looks fine, unless it stretches with no signs of wear. @@brewersblade4887

    Brilliant tip - wouldn't have been able to fit belt without this, it was too tight. Made spring puller with a loop of binder twine passed through short length of plastic tube which I used as a handle to pull with. Worked a treat.

    Thank you. I spent a half an hour trying to get this thing on. The strain works so well.

    How to get the spring off?

    • @brewersblade4887
      @brewersblade4887  Před 16 dny

      @@ronburhans5788 you can do the exact same process only in reverse. Use string to pull it off or a pair of pliers or vice grips

      I think they were asking about the spring. Yours came off easily because the belt jumped.
      How would you take the spring off the peg if the belt was still attached?
      My belt is looking ratty, and I'd like to swap it out before it breaks.
      Thank you for the video!

    It looks like there is no way to tighten your belt without replacing the spring as it stretches with age.

      The Gravleys have an automatic tensioner for the belts. But overall no issue with belts it just so happened to get a stick jammed in there that caused it to jump off.
