I've been practicing the "double bass pyramid" for about 2 years now. I can play stuff that grooves but I'm just blown away by drummers that are this clean and fast with their feet! I can remember when I got it pretty clean at 125 bpm (single 16ths) cuz it was 500 kicks in 60 seconds...lol! Ugh, I don't think I will ever be good at metal, but I still love it! 🤘💥🥁🎵

@@paradisium3799 yes, I have. Over produced and time aligned, metal grooves and blast beats does not impress me. Sure, it's fast and all that. But it has no creativity and none of the trademark stuff Joey used to be so good at. It's just stock metal drumming with triggers.. yawn.
If you think a lot of stale blast beats and 16th kick drum patterns makes a drummer siicccc, then you need to listen to more music.

Brilliant my friend. Though I notice that the drums sound so much different. From my experience playing with a real band, even Slipknot's guitars sound diff since they down tune and I think Jay's drum kit is set too tight for the sound he gets. Which one of things I like the most!!
