It was GREAT time to be a kid growing up during the 60s 70s 80s Sid &Marty Krofft cartoon shows every Saturday morning... Miss my childhood so much along with past family members that are gone...watching this made very happy sad together at the same time great memories.
Fantastic tribute to a production team that was sharing love and diversity to millions in a time when it was needed to move society forward! Our great forward thinking leaders of today grew up on Sid & Mart Krofft!!! ✌🏾💙🇺🇸
Brings tears to my eyes , lump in my throat to know that Sid and Marty were so honored. SO WELL DESERVED! I know this was some time ago. But to say one things, THANK YOU SID AND MARTY.
The 70s and 80s Saturday morning TV was the best. I feel so sorry for the children of this generation because they won't ever get to experience what we did. I will cherish the memories forever.
It's impossible to explain to kids today what's Saturday mornings men growing up in the seventies. Sid and Marty were such a huge part so many people's childhoods you couldn't wait for Saturday morning
Thank you so much for posting this! Loved seeing the late Cameron Boyce dance to the HR Puffinstuff song. I remember when this aired and I couldn't believe what a great dancer that child was. So sad he died so young.
R.I.P Marty Krofft... :( I'm glad that he made its creations for Saturday Morning with a twist just like his brother Sid and by getting the characters to become well-known icons of nostalgia, without them... Saturday Morning is just all cartoons and very less of costumes and puppets.
I had the great honor of meeting Sid Kroft at the 2024 Kansas City Comicon & introduced my daughter to one of the men, who made some of the most wonderful shows of my childhood. She was raised on as many of the shows as I could find during her formative years. Sid Kroft is a sweet, wonderful man.
I LOVED THOSE SHOWS HR PUFNSTUF WAS MY FAVORITE AS A KID I ALSO LOVED SIGMOND AND THE SEA MONSTER I MISS THEIR SHOWS VUG TIME Sid and Marty Kroft are my childhood
I never saw this tribute when it aired. But what can I say, to Sid & Marty Krofft. I literally grew up on all these wonderful shows. Well as loved Cyndi Lauper's performance. Along with Barry Williams. In a way, I shed a tear for Billy Barty. He was along time friend of my dad. Prior from when we lived in New York and thus to Massachusetts. As for the host, without mentioning any names. The movie version of LOTL, could've been better! Sorry WF. As for Sid & Marty Krofft, Walt Disney was right! They deserved that award! From my parents generation, mine, the present and future. Of these wonderful talented brothers!!!
Every show is entertaining but the Krofft supershow was the main event. The only time again was Saturday mornings where you could see the shows. I remember one Thanksgiving around 1978 where ABC put on the Krofft supershow so for that hour to have Saturday morning on a Thursday morning it's hard to explain how special that was. You'd have to grow up in the time to understand
Will Ferrell NEVER disappoints. "On Saturday morning there was.... only one show we were going to watch. (audience shouts - Land of the Lost!!) No... The McLaughlin Group". I cracked up at that one.
My favorites in this order. Sigmund the Sea Monster, The Bugaloos, Far out Space Nuts, Electric Woman and Dina Girl and Wonder Bug. But I watched all of them. I think Dr. Shrinker had the best opening song...
Are used to love to watch Electra woman and Dyna girl. But, the most successful TV show even though it only lasted for two seasons that I never missed an episode of on every Saturday night from 1980 to 1982 is of course BARBARA MANDRELL & the MANDRELL SISTERS
This was a lot of fun to watch when I was 25 in 2009 saw it in tv land use to watch a lot of their shows on nick at nite I was 11 in 1995 I'm talking about sid and marty Kroft shows they aired and later saw more krofft shows on a bootlegged website in 2015 😎
It all started with a Dragon with a catch song and then came along a Dinosaur with an irritating song or you just can’t get out of your head and your kids singing it all the time. 😮 The best part of my childhood of the 70s and the 80s Saturday morning cartoons. After the 90s Saturday morning television has gone downhill. The only way I can get my Saturday and Sunday morning cartoons is MeTV. 😢
I wonder why the real Electra Woman and Dyna Girl didn't want to get involved with this great tribute? Diedre Hall and Judy Strangis are the one's that played the part but I guess they're too busy with their schedules. It would've been great if they showed up. Anyway I still can't believe the Krofft brothers are still alive, do they eat healthy and exercise? It's 2023 and time sure is going fast. Pretty sure Will Ferrell is a fan since he did Land of the Lost movie remake of the Krofft brothers creation.
Not sure about Hall and Strangis, but Weley Eure, Kathy Coleman, and I wanna say Johnny Whittaker were there. Probably some others too. TV Land inexplicably shoved them up in the balcony. Will Farrell is a big fan, and in addition to starring in the movie, he portrayed Ranger Marshall Willenholly in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. As for the Kroffts, Marty frequently remarks that he'll never retire, and Sid only eats organic foods and will probably live to be 120!
@@VinnieRattolle Thanks for letting me know about the Krofft brothers, didn't know they were into organic foods. I've tried some organic vegetables and eggs but that's about it. I'm like my dad, BBQing outdoors, a lot of cold cuts, a little drinking beer only, not the hard stuff. He lived to the ripe old age of 85 which I hope I will too. Nice to see someone enjoying Krofft creations as much as I did. Stay safe with all this crazy stuff going on all over the world! It wasn't like this growing up.
MeTV, please don’t air “Two and a Half Men”! TV Land called future classic show for that awful show. MeTV promised good, wholesome and family friendly TV classics from 1950s to 1980s.
I love the Sid and MartyKroff shows and I still watch them today ❤️💗❤️the new movie was awful it went from a family show to some disgusting perverted Drug riddles show for sick adults🤬
On one hand, they messed up the movie BIG TIME. On the other, there was always some adult humor in their work, and the film has gained its own cult following separate from the rest of the Krofft universe. It isn't what it should've been, but I have respect for what it is.
I heard about that movie and when I seen the preview I said nope I'm not watching it. That will not ruin my happy childhood memories of The Banana Splits.
Crofts shouldnt be celebrated, should of been put away for threating to abduct the rollers, trieing tobrip them off then say they wanted the Beatles, wrong country and accent, who do they think they are?
wow, that thing that happened after wills speech was a trainwreck...it was horrible. who the hell did the choreography and who did the cast? really bad.
Fact: The Krofft brothers later were honored with a Lifetime Emmy Awards for their works as well as their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

My childhood. Love it so much 😁
Marty passed today at 86. Sid is still alive at 94.
The older Krofft brother outlived his younger. He might lives to 100. Maybe.

Doctor Shrinker is a rare gem. The fist time we got to see Billy Barty actually act outside a full body costume.
Loved krofft super show as well as electra woman and dyna girl land of the lost and all their shows huge sid and marty Kroft fan 😎
Barty did Sparky on Bugaloos and Sigmund on Sigmund and The Sea Monsters

Ohhh! Ok. I was wondering...
