I'm german and let me tell you, Wacken has become a total disgrace and most 'real' metalheads here don't like it anymore. It's become 100% commercial and has completely lost it's original spirit. It's not about metal anymore, it's about them making as much money as possible. When I went in 2007, the ticket price was 69€ (~81 USD), last year it was 220€ (~260 USD), it's fucking ridiculous dude... And for what? So they can put a fucking wrestling tent there and have almost naked girls mud wrestle, so they can have like a medieval market there where they can sell even more cheap, cringe-worthy shit... like I said, it's not about metal anymore. ~1 hour for 'Eskimo Callboy' and only 20 minutes for Anthrax, that pretty much says it all.
