One of the few times I think I've ever been excitedly waiting for an interview
The Tigershark has to be my all-time favorite plane, to the point where I've been digging through the internet to find as much info as I can possibly memorize
Me too!
My dad worked on the F20 project as a software/systems engineer but the only thing I have is a sick F20 tie-clip. Too bad the project wasn't selected for production!
@@brendennorris4425 You should have that printed on a T-shirt!
One unfortunately crashed in my hometown. Legend has it parts of the aircraft are still flying to this day!
Nice to see you again Hush.
A bit of voice over by William Conrad, Class!
A bit of design legacy, & certainly the philosophy of F-20 lives on in form of JF-17: the rudder & LERx, small single-engine design, potent weapons mix, MMI, fast deployment, & (I resume) great turn around time.
I also see the SAAB Gripen as a descendent of the F-20. Same engine, similar dimensions and same emphasis on rapid response.
Have you heard of the Grumman Super 7?
@@Scott11078 ooh no, I'll take a look. What are your thoughts in the meantime?
Unbeliveble 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I love thet jet.. the f20 are realy Amazing 💥💥💥💥💥
A fine aircraft.
For us people who don't read... will there ever be an audiobook or something? xD
One of the great tragedies of military aviation. The F-20 was damn good plane. I wonder if it can still be sellable with updated radar & avionics. I hear there is 1 or 2 in museums.
Finest combat aircraft never to go into production
This! It’s like the griphen before the griphen was even fully realized.
2 for 2
Northrop losses 2 fighter aircraft production contracts.
The F20 & the YF23
Seems Northrop doesn’t pay their lobbyists enough.
At the time, they also had the B-2 Spirit, which was a massive project in its own right (probably worth more to the company than the F-20 and YF-23 combined)
