    Little tip from the kitchen / I use aluminum foil under the drain funnel / I tear a good size square and roll up the sides as to make a small cookie sheet, place it over the center drain hole then use your funnel punch a through it. This way if there is any splash out or over fill of the funnel the aluminum foil pan will catch it and still drain into the bucket. I also use a premarked oil can filler to help with refilling the X3 with oil.
    Not at all trying to bash, just help. I think you were a great help with your video.

    Very helpful video. In process of my first x3 oil change. I noticed you said nothing about torquing the drain plugs to their specified numbers. Maybe you did torque without mentioning? Or did you just tighten it naturally by instinct. Would like to avoid borrowing a specific torque wrench if i can get away with it.

    • @DandiOffroad
      @DandiOffroad  Před 6 lety

      We didn't mention, just trying to be careful not to miss quote and be responsible for someone damaging their ride. But you can definitely find the torque specs online.

      She actually did say they were Brandy tightened...lol, & then she brought the Big Boyz in to tighten again & she said to always torque it to factory specs...Good job 😎

    That was painful watching her pour the oil. Always start with an empty gallon jug, fill it up easily, then pour into your motor. I am sure the husband was laughing inside watching her struggle. My wife said she liked the finger nail polish, and promptly told me not to expect her to change the oil any time soon!
