IVER----- saved my friends son( an OTR truck driver) he got it from an old guy that he used to work for knowing it worked on respiratory issues. Two days later, back to work. He is doing fine 3 years later. So glad you asked the questions. My doc has had it twice. He insisted I get 1st and 2nd. We stopped after that. Not again.
I could go on and on about this topic, but there are so many scenarios and questionable practices that are happening so fast that I don’t think we will have any power over much soon . i’ve had the same doctor for over 10 years. Absolutely fabulous Dr. Until 2020. Everything is changing with the type of care he provides and so much more.

I have watched all your videos over the years . My recommendation take your own advice and look for another doctor. just seeing all those review signs in the office would’ be turn off for me. sounds like he needs more business. The best business model for me is recommendation by other patients . The way my annual physical works. My doctor sends me paperwork to do my blood work at lab prior to my office appointment .when I go into the office for my annual physical, we review the bloodwork results . The nurse gives me a copy for my records. It’s nice to have a copy because you can check against previous years . I have a great relationship with my doctor. I feel he really cares about me and my health. Pushing a pneumonia shot.

Yes! We faced the same thing at our Wellness check. I got the new vaccine for RSV (respiratory illness) I had some bad side effects and spent 2 days in bed and still have a large red swollen area on my arm. I am rethinking other new vaccines he told me I needed: the "new" pneumonia, and Shingles...definite no on the C19. Our regular family guy retired a year ago and we'd seen him for nearly 30 years. Changing docs is pretty unsettling. Prayers for y'all as you make the transition to someone new.â€đŸ™Jane

From a nursing perspective. It is better to sit still for a while before taking blood pressure readings. Also, if you were not fasting and if they are testing cholesterol and glucose readings the results will not be accurate.

My mom was a compounding pharmacist. When I was 12, ( I am now in my 60's ) , my mom would come home from work have a few drinks and telling all about her job. Doctors get kickbacks from drug salesmen to push certain drugs , & vaccines. Most patients are just a number and a way to make more money for doctors.
If you go to a homeopathic doctor, you will be better off. Also, you can boost your immune system by eating certain vitamins, minerals and food.
I have a doctor in Florida. I am currently not in Florida, its worth waiting until I can be a snow bird to see my female, Asian doctor that works with me and deepest my health choices.
As for blood pressure, there are methods other than drugs to lower it.
I also have a degree in Food science & Human Nutrition.
Not that I made it a career, because I ended up working for Disney, but I shared my information with my co-workers so they could live a healthier life than forced into expensive, " managed care" , and an unhealthy life.

Garlic will lower your Bp. Grapefruit daily will lower your Bp. Eat real food from the outer edges of the grocery store. Packaged foods have additives that are not good for us! May you have good health from here on out. Keep the good stuff coming. Thanks for holding your own. They are too ready to write a prescription. Freedom means getting to make your own decisions for you, from doctors to Rv dealers to everyone and everything. You have to know what works for you and who you can trust and be comfortable trusting. I know what works in my profession from experience. I read and listen and then do. It’s the doing that has taught me the most about doing right and avoiding mistakes. Mistakes teach lessons. It is why experienced professionals are good at what they do. But the patient or client has to listen to the pro’s advice and decide for themself. The pro should not push the patient or the client to do what they don’t want to do. We explain what and why. You decide. Why? Because it is your life, your Rv. The technical things? I can decide that in a case. But the practical aspects of what is best for you? That is your decision to make.

PS: When I recently went to a medical clinic to get tested for strep throat, and I instead tested positive for COVID-19, the nurse asked me if I was vaccinated against COVID -- I told her No, and braced myself for a small lecture. To my surprise, the nurse said "That's good that you didn't." 😼

Many years ago, my Dr. recommended I take high cholesterol meds. I did start taking it, but started experiencing joint discomfort and stopped taking it. Next time I saw him, he asked about the meds he prescribed and I told him about the discomfort I was experiencing. He asked if I wanted to try another brand and I told him no. Then I told him, Doc, I gotta die from something and he smiled and agreed.

One simply cannot have a personal doctor and pay corporate doctor price. Simple as that, you want a doctor who doesn’t jump through productivity hoops of so many vaccine acceptors then you have to pay out of pocket for a doctor that has incentives aligned with yours. US is still a place where you can have a primary doctor like that, for now, but it is a dying option.

Agree in many aspects. Medicare has made it so restrictive as to what the doctors do now. I have a physical every year, and every year they do less and less during my visit. I miss my old doctors that spent some time and really took care of me. As to the vaccines, my doctor pushes me for the new pneumonia vaccine and so does my pharmacist. And I am a believer so I will get them.

Doctors. We're on our third medical practice since moving to Florida 17 years ago, thankfully we are now with a great practice. But a couple years ago I developed a chronic earache, so got a referral to an ear, nose, throat specialist. When my appointment came, I explained to the doctor the reason for my visit. He said before he could address that he needed to perform a hearing test. I thought that was odd but went along with it. Did the hearing test and he comes back in proclaiming that I have hearing loss. What did he do next? Tried to upsell me on expensive hearing aids, completely ignoring my reason for being there! I walked out the door, earache and all! I'm convinced that if I have any hearing loss, it's at the dog whistle end of the spectrum, they can probably find "hearing loss" in every human being on the planet for purposes of upselling you! Somewhere within the past few decades medical care has transition from being Hippocratic Oath based to profit centers! Kind of like RV dealers who try to tack on useless services and warranty contracts.

I Did not want to have the “welcome to Medicare” colonoscopy (never had one) because I had several relatives & 1friend that had them just This year . . & all ended up hospitalized for several days. 2 because of pokes thru bowel wall leading to infection, 1 for severe adverse reaction to the sedation & 1 abdominal/bowel bleeding after they removed some polyps.! So I did collard instead but it came back abnormal. I don’t want to go thru what they did . . But if I don’t do it . . . I’m considered “noncompliant” & at risk for insurance dropping me??? Arrrgghh. But I really don’t want to. All other tests I’ve done . . .
