@@rotem6033 the thing about TAS is that they are programed with RNG manipulation in mind, and since EVERY ACTION you do as the Knight affects the RNG, you can, albeit VERY PAINSTAKINGLY, you can technically program a boss fight to your liking. In this case, make every single one of those damn lasers miss, because you already know the resulting number generated by RNG due to your previous input. As a further explanation, basically, whether it's a jump, a spell, a nail swing, whatever it is, these inputs will result in a real-time output of an RNG, which roughly dictates how a boss or enemy should act, as long as it doesn't break their preset rules. Some bosses will ALWAYS follow up a certain action after a specific action, such as Hornet jumping after breaking out of stagger, and no RNG manip can change this behaviour. Edit: as to how frequent and how 'real-time' the RNG update is, I don't know, I sain't a TASer, I just repeated what i read on the internet.

Since TAS is frame-perfect, the numbers generated will ALWAYS be the same, since they are consistent from start to finish, meaning all numbers generated, which technically depend on all numbers generated before them and/or actions that trigger number generation, are basically fixed. For human players, since you aren't robots, and since even the slightest of differences between runs from the beginning can have huge effects on the game, the whole game feels randomised. TBH, RNG is only random to humans. Technically, if you can calculate a million or even a billion outcomes per second, pretty much nothing is random in a video game.

The amount of comments saying, he used invincibility etc, the light walls dont slide across the screen and have gaps in them just wide enough for a TAS (Tool Assisted Superplay) which is performed with frame perfect movements to dodge. This run is not faked, but is not played in real time either.
This is amazing. The more times I watch it the more details I see, like using the down dash to avoid the orbs, or that ridiculous descending dark at the end of the climb phase. The position management using a mixture of up slashes and down slashes and wings and spell stalls is so cool as well. The knight didn't even touch the ground during the first phase.

I don't think you could fit it with already being overcharmed unless you remove steady body and nailmasters glory as well, they probably saw that they had an extra notch and did it for the meme
How did you get rid of any rng in the boss fight? Actually is there rng in hollow knight boss fights? I'm not too familiar with the any radiance mod but I've been thinking about this for a bit since I want to make a TAS for the Magalor speedrun route once I get better at C#.
A lot of TAS especially for older games with less rng actually use rng manipulation just for that sweet sweet optimal routing. No clue how radiance ai works but if I had to guess, the tassers use that to get the best radiance fight possible

I was literally thinking the same thing, looking to see if anyone else saw that. And i just checked again, at 1:12 as well
Put the video in ×0.25, you can see that there are spaces where it's safe to stand inside the light walls
The light walls disappear and reappear so there’s a few pixels where you wont be hit
Yeah I slowed it down and I saw it but that's a really lucky play, avoiding the beam walls by a few pixels *twice* lol
