- Oh hi there. Today you’re joining us on our last morning on the Allure of the Seas and then we headed back to Orlando for a day in Universal.
Also checked in to Rosen Inn at Point. Um, no comment. 😶

Awww Gemma. You looked so scared to be voicing your opinion on the room. Tbh, if my MIL was still around, bless her, she wouldn’t have even stayed one night! She’d have checked out there and then! I totally love your honesty and can’t wait to see where you all ended up! Great video again. 😊
Sometimes people just want happy happy vlogs. Ours are just truthful. Not everything is perfect and this put a big downer on the holiday. Also don’t want to put a downer on anyone’s upcoming trip if they have this booked. Xx

Another great vlog guys. Just a little tip if you hadn't thought of it already...... instead of leaving via the chaos of walking through citywalk, back through security and up through the parking garage to the sometimes chaotic uber pickup spot on top of the parking structure...... leave the parks via the walkway next to the Universal arch that leads down towards the walkway to Hard Rock Hotel, its a lovely quiet little walk that takes around 7 minutes and order the Uber from the Hard Rock Hotel entrance. Way less stressful, especially at busier times in the evening when parks close etc.
You are so right. We’ve stayed there a few times and I never really give it much thought. Next time 😄
PLEASE PlEASE PLEASE…! Try Endless Summer next time..!!! The one bedroom suites would be ideal for your family, I promise 😋👍🏻 we are staying there in September
I agree about the Rosen inns, we stayed in one a couple of years ago for one night, never again, it's not being snobby it's about your holiday and everyone is different 😎
I have to say I’m pretty surprised by the comments and how many people really dislike these hotels. Different story on facebook groups. We just want to give our honest opinion and I would hate to worry anyone who watches who has booked. As I always say this is just our opinion. People can choose to take it or leave it. Xx
You're not wrong at all, you are entitled to your opinion just like anyone else. When people are travelling they have to do what is right for them. It costs way too much money to accept less that what you expect from your holiday.
My partner and I go to Florida, to visit with my sons who live there and our hotel base is just that, somewhere to keep our clothes, shower and sleep, very little time is spent there so we book the Rosen, and know exactly what we're getting and are always happy with our choice. Doing the whole Disney thing is more important to us and isn't affordable without the budget accommodation. I do agree they're not the most aesthetically pleasing rooms, but the grounds are always nice, the staff are mostly friendly and it suits us just fine. I can Imagine the I-4 noise being problematic if it bothers you, as someone who lives on the flight path very close to Manchester airport, I'm used to loud noise at night and find it quite comforting.
I hope you are able to move somewhere more enjoyable for you, I'm looking forward to finding out where. Would you please tell us how your refund worked out and if it was a major issue or not.
Oh I agree. Everyone holidays differently. I mean some people will spend thousands upon thousands to stay at a high end Disney hotel which is crazy to me. Rosen Inn is the opposite end. I honestly booked thinking it’s just a room so all will be fine. Turns out the room means more to us than we thought.
I can’t comment on the grounds at Point but I agree and said in the International one the grounds looked nice and well kept. Xx
Totally agree with you we booked there also as a stop gap before our stay at Universal and moved after 1 night.

I always get scared trying new accommodation because we feel exactly the same as you...we work hard and save hard and it's a horrible feeling when what you've paid for doesn't make you feel happy, don't feel guilty for having an opinion and for wanting a nice hotel room, we all have different expectations and that's ok
It is daunting isn’t it. Especially if you’re stepping away from something you like and after this trips experience that’s exactly why we’re sticking with what we know for our California trip 😆
I always say we’ll give our honest opinion but it’s just that. It’s our opinion. I know a lot of people will have a Rosen booked for their trip and I don’t want to put a downer on their upcoming holiday 🫣
Aww don’t worry about it. I know Rosen are cheap and helps people budget, but I like Dockside, and for a budget hotel it’s fantastic, transport excellent, heated pool, food is great and not to expensive and as you know 5 minutes from the parks. We stayed in may also and yep that heat 🤪 we melted. Going back in just over 2 weeks, and can’t wait.

Is that hotel opposite the up side down house. Use to be quality In plaza. I stayed when I was 15, 27 years ago.
Potentially it’s opposite. Not gonna lie I didn’t look driving in or out. I imagine it looks the same today as it did then 😝

Thank you. Sometimes people don’t like you dissing something they like and sooo many people love these hotels. As I always say this is our opinion but please make your own choices. Our future choice - not a Rosen 😝

Thank you. Just feel bad because I don’t want to worry anyone who’s going out soon and has this booked. It’s just not for us. I’m always honest in the videos so if the next video you watch is us in a different hotel and I say nothing then that’s not right x

I don’t think Ian would have let me book for 14 days. He wasn’t happy I booked it for the nights I did. 🤪
We felt the same, we moved pool side tho. First time we stayed anywhere other than a villa. Won't be doing that again

Stayed in that hotel this year but room was facing int drive. Was glad it was just for one night but it was a bed and it was cheap. We were in at 11pm and out at 6am the next day. Not our sort of place either but it served its purpose. Theres nothing wrong with. Being honest.
To be honest we were already considering not checking in to this hotel when we’re at the first Rosen and finding a different hotel. Then we considered booking an additional room for the kids but thankfully when we arrived after the cruise the hotel wanted $150 per night for the 2nd room that we thought hell no. Let’s just check in that night and make a decision from there. As soon as we went up the lift our decision was made. If we couldn’t have afforded to change hotel I definitely would have asked to be moved. X

One of the Rosen hotels which is great is Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel. I've not stayed there but the Hamilton family have. See their vlog. Not cheap but excellent views from top floors.
Thanks Chris. I did buy a glass on one of the days. We use them at home daily so I have to take the chance. Still surviving so far ( I hope I haven’t jinx it 😬)
I think we’ll just stay away from any Rosens now. I think even if I did find one that looked different Ian would say that’s a hard no 😝
Hi has always love your honesty its not being a snob, totally understand why you did it that way ,my family would not like that, we have been thinking of the Avanti for our next visit ,maybe a split stay with port Orleans french quarter for the disney side of things. We have stayed in surfside and the rooms themselfs are a fantastic layout, the hotel has everything you want, but we had to change rooms because of noisy neighbours and the room they gave us wasn't much better they have wooden floors and all you could hear was furniture being moved around all night, so we wouldn't stay there again, cabana bay was good, we would stay there again, Hard Rock hotel club level was good ,just need to win the lottery to stay there again 😂, you do get spoilt when you have stayed in a villa, just you need a car and it all adds up then.look forward to seeing where you end up. Also how do you go about getting your phone to work in the usa , I fail every time, planning on New York next year, and need the phone when we land to get a taxi . You have definitely sold caribbean cruise to me though, looks so beautiful sitting on the balcony .thank you x x
Thank you. I’ll just say this. We like Avanti as a cheap hotel option. It may be a bit of a shock going from port Orleans to Avanti.
Thats a shame about Surfside. I think with anything half the experience is dependent on the people around you. We had kids knocking on the door at Rosen and running and shouting. They added to the fun experience however there’s nothing saying if we’d booked a £500 a night hotel that we wouldn’t encounter the same thing.
I hope wherever you do decide to stay that your neighbours are good to you and you can get the peace and quiet you need once that door is shut.
Phone - I have the international package on my contact so I can use it as normal in the US. I have found in the past it’s been temperamental tho but I don’t know what I was doing wrong. Xx
I absolutely love the rosen but would I recommend it…. No 😅 I have a soft spot for it as it was the first place I ever stayed in Orlando. And have stayed there many of time (and other places) but after my last trip to the rosen I may consider somewhere else.
I’m guessing one of the reasons people like them is nostalgia. They probably look the same as they did back in the 90s. Xx
We love the pointe orlando Rosen. Never had a problem. Each to their own 😊 we don't go in the school hols tho. So that makes a difference as its so quiet. Shame you weren't given a refurbed room.

Totally agree with you on the Rosen hotels never thought you were being snobby, we stayed there on our first family visit in 2015 and although we enjoyed our stay I wouldn’t stay again but that’s our opinion, prefer Endless Summer hotels 👍🏼
I’m actually surprised by all of these comments and how so many feel the same about these hotels. I think u was trying to be optimistic when I opted to book them thinking it will be fine, we’ve done cheap before. It’s only a few nights. Hands up - I was wrong. Lesson learned 🫣
Appreciate your honesty and like you said it's your opinion, and it doesn't suit your family and your holiday. My sister had a nightmare stay with Avanti and wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there but I know you guys love it, we've stayed at Rosen International and Lake Buena Vista and we enjoyed our stay (I think it's part a nostalgia thing having stayed in them a few times with parents growing up), but they are super dated rooms and now our own children are older would likely look elsewhere now (Surfside is on the radar!). Thanks again for sharing your experiences :)
Exactly. Everyone has different experiences. We just give our opinions and people can choose to do what they want with them. I can recommend Endless Summer 😄
Another good honest Vlog - which ride in Florida do you prefer over Hyperia? We loved Hyperia and thought it was better than Velocoicoaster, yet to do the sea world coasters - there in November - a;so we are looking at a Disney cruise for next year or a Royal one, we have just done Anthem of the seas and loved it, why did you think the Disney one was better?
Thank you. Oh wow. You really liked Hyperia 😝. Mako at seaworld is one of our faves. Loved the Disney Cruise for so many different reasons from the background music everywhere you went to the presentation of food to the other guests but the room was sooo much better. Need to try a newer RC cruise I think. I would definitely do an RC again though. X
We agree about the Rosen's, not for us either, it's difficult to explain what they are like unless you've stayed in one, your honesty is appreciated x

It's the odd smell lol. On every Orlando FB group people still rave about them too. We have 46 days till split stay All Star Music and then Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista, still on the value side but not a Rosen Inn 🤫😉
Oh my yes the smell. Some people have said it doesn’t smell. Well 2 hotels, 2 rooms - same musty smell 🤣

I agree with you we didn’t find it very clean and it is very noisy from the I4 and people passing under the windows .Endless summer is far more modern and clean and is good value .

It’s not being snobby, you just have a certain standard that you’ve come to expect and when a hotel falls below that standard then no wonder you’re upset, I would be too. Don’t apologise for having an opinion either, you’re entitled to have one and I don’t think anyone watching this would disagree with you or think you were being snobby or unreasonable. We’re all not going to like the same thing, don’t feel bad. Like you said it’s your holiday! We’ve stayed in Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista twice and really didn’t mind it. But there’s only 2 of us and to be fair we normally sleep in a bed each 😂 we’re actually staying at Avanti this year and all the reviews made me nervous but knowing you prefer Avanti Palms over Rosen gives me hope😂
Exactly. We don’t want to put people off if they have booked to stay because at the end of the day it’s our opinion. Others love it. I’d hate people to do something off of our recommendation or because they saw us go there/stay there and hate it. Will be interested to hear what you think of Avanti vs Rosen Inn when you stay. Xx
As someone who cares about the people and wants to give an unforgettable experience. I appreciate the honesty in these vlogs and reviews. I'll try my best to make an incredible hotel that isn't just more perfect but affordable for even the common man.

I would hate to not have said something and for someone to spend their hard earned money on something because they saw it on CZcams only to find out it was awful. Too many people on here make out things/places to be amazing when they really aren’t. At the end of the day we’ll say what we think and what you the people watching choose to do with that is up to them. We all like to follow the hype to a certain degree but more than often it wasn’t worth it. Onto the next 😝
@theburgesses2004 I have been watching a lot of theme park reviews and trips. Even getting into education and exploring the expos of all things amusement. Hopefully, things will be in my favor, and I'll get to open up the water park I've been designing.

I stayed there when I was 11 and 15 with my parents (probably all the could afford then to be able to take us) and again with my husband then boyfriend when we were in our early twenties. It’s a good location and a great an option when I drive was all the rave in the nineties, especially if you were going to rope drop to close. Times and tastes have changed and hotels modernised. Tbh I would stay again if all I could afford and but would rather pay a bit more and stay somewhere a newer nowadays especially with my primary schooler. Stayed on site at Disney Coronado springs last time we went 2 years ago and didn’t rate that either to be fair. I too want to try endless summer or an apartment/ villa next.
Did it look the same when you were a teenager as it does now? I hear it’s a good location but we didn’t give it chance to venture out. We actually booked it because we were initially doing Seaworld and not universal and it’s a bit closer.

@@theburgesses2004 yeah to be fair it looks the same. We had nothing to compare it to back then. It is close to sea world but on our first ever day in Florida my dad decided that despite having a car we should walk to sea world. It’s not that close! Back then after the Peabody building there was nothing, it was baron, peak of the day and the heat was crazy. Some kind person kindly stopped and gave us a lift the rest of the way, although in hindsight that was probably ill judged too to get in a car with a complete stranger in a new county lol. Fun memories but we learned a lot and I drive is way more built up than it was then. No pointe Orlando just the Pizza Hut. Don’t feel bad for not giving the Rosen a chance, it is what it is, and it’s not for everyone.
You should try the Rozen Plaza, it’s lovely. That one would drive me mad though

It doesn’t look bad. We all book our holidays and pay with our hard earned cash! We wouldn’t stay outside Disney (we love Pop) if we loved universal we would do cabana bay or endless summer they are so reasonable! You’re entitled to Your opinion and it is not somewhere we would ever stay!

We told them we were checking out so they could process the deposit refund but other than that didn’t ask for any money back. Our choice to leave. Xx
