There’s an episode, “Believe it or Not, Joe’s Walking on Air” ( the title being a reference to the intro song lyrics of _The Greatest American Hero_ , a TV show from the early ’80s),:S6, E3, where he gets a surgical operation that allows him to walk again. Unfortunately for Joe, though, the guys, and to a small extent, Bonnie, all team up and eventually attack him to where he can’t walk again. Poor guy.

no its not selfish its basically like having a 6 foot newborn because EVERYTHING you have to do for a baby you now have to do for an adult . ( bathing ,toileting, grooming eating , transfering in/out of bed etc) it should not be done by the spouse ever. very few relationships endure a spinal cord injury.

I dont think its selfish per se. She has been in a marriage with someone who isnt the person she married. Even after his injury he was himself for a while but that was written out so... They have both failed as parents to their son, and they honestly should go their different ways. But for some reason they stay together.
