In my opinion Jenny was a really good character, she represented what a real life person does to fit in on a group of "cool people" starting to do all kind of rude things just to be accepted but at the end she was corrupted by all the upper east side changing her whole personality, I really like Jenny bc is a good representation of how teenagers change theirselves just to fit in

it's a shitshow. I watched the few episodes from season 1 and was so bored.
Several reasons from what I’ve gathered from different interviews but mainly because they didn’t like the show nor their characters at all, the series got them *A LOT* of exposure at a very young age and that was hard to handle as well, and it wasn’t exactly a healthy work environment.
The show glorified conceited selfish shallow privileged white kids. The only characters which actually criticized this sort of life were hated (Vanessa & Jenny) and people started to relate the real cast to their characters. The main cast have stated multiple times that they couldn’t stand their characters and the thought of people relating the persona of the character to the real them was frustrating. Imagine portraying something you dislike but everyone ends *loving* it. This sort of exposure and discomfort was visible on set and that made everything harder.

Honestly, thank you so much for saying this because I agree with you 100%. For me, it sucks she left Gossip Girl because I loved her and Jenny and Nate with my GG OTP and I'm still obsessed and like to pretend they wound up together but it's still her life. She wants to work on music, not acting and she can do what she pleases. We have no right to judge her for anything she does.

I personally like her the way she is now ... seems real. When she talks about her music she is all calm and confident and when it comes to acting she just looks at her feet and seems pretty uncomfortable so I guess she actually is done with acting and the person she is now is the person she really wants to be.

What did she say about gossip girl that was "biting the hand that created her" She did not say "fuck no I'm not going back to Gossip girl." The "Fuck no" was toward acting in general. She's always liked her music more than acting and she chose her music over acting and this girl is far from "talentless", she's an amazing singer AND actress. She did what she needed to do to get where she needed to get and she moved on. Nothing ungrateful or spoiled about it. That's what people do.

Also, she has continuously stated how she didn't like how she was treated in Hollywood and behind the scenes and how she was forced into acting as a child and always wanted to get out. I’m I the only person who thought the show went down hill after she left. The storylines where repeating chuck and Blair breaking up and then making up. Serena choosing between Dan and Nate while all along she knew she wanted Dan. At least Jenny brought excitement to the show as she was unpredictable

We knew they were going to get married but Instead we got two immature people pretending not to like one another for six seasons. I would rather watch the build up to the marriage and the planning for the baby as there was a lack of growth. Jenny was problematic. She keeps you on your toes as she seems cute but she has a dark side. Fans underestimated her

Odd, I agree. Depending on the promotion/event, minors or legal (but under drinking age per the state) can enter certain areas. I know some local bars where I grew up, it was typical that if an event was open to the public under a certain license promotion, under age can attend only during certain hours. Something about it falls under food being served. Not just a "bar".

The storylines were repeating after she left. Blair and Chuck breaking up and making up (when we all knew they were going to be endgame) and Serena choosing between Nate and Dan although all along she wanted Dan. At least she brought excitement to the show and made Nate more interesting to watch.
