      People who aren’t wearing masks are doing their part. In fact, the majority of them have done their own independent research as to the efficacy of wearing them and have concluded that there is no compelling scientific evidence supporting the argument that masks slow the spread.
      Please stop judging those who do not conform to your ways. We have done our research. Science shows that wearing a mask may lower your immune system which in turn, make you more suspectible. We care about our health, we care about the health of the collective and if we have drawn an opposite conclusion to that of yours (which I’m hoping you’ve reached through independent research and not these shows) please just stay away from us. We don’t tell you all what to do. If you see someone without a mask, just walk away. Respect goes both ways. Much love.

    • @alicecharkhchyan4454
      @alicecharkhchyan4454 Před 4 lety +2

      Several studies have been done which have shown that a drop in oxygen levels (hypoxia) due to wearing an N95 mask (which is really the only one that has a chance of blocking the virus particles, not bandanas or cloth masks or the regular medical masks) is associated with an impairment in immunity. Specifically, hypoxia can inhibit the type of main immune cells used to fight viral infections called the CD4+ T-lymphocyte. This happens because hypoxia increases the level of a compound called HIF-1 which inhibits T-lymphs and stimulates a powerful immune inhibitor cell called the Tregs. This is what makes the individual susceptible to infection.

      It hasn’t been proven that it’s airborne, they’re still doing research, and an N95 is almost completely effective, though other coverings do help even if they’re not as effective. It’s all about slowling the spread. If we all wear masks and social distance, there will be a lot fewer cases. But apparently some of us are too selfish and ignorant to do that. Christopher Cain denounces the disinformation while he distills it wonderfully. He's confusing sterile environment with sterile field. A surgical mask is one tool among many to create a sterile field. But it is an essential element. Remove it, touch it while you are performing surgery or performing sensitive local treatment and you are breaking that sterile field. By definition, a sterile field is circumscribed and has nothing to do with an "environment".
      Christopher, when you put forward an argument in support of your personal conviction, have at least the descendants of not venture into an expertise that you absolutely do not master...

      Untrue, over 500,000 people have died of Covid in 8 months, (though it’s technically only 5 months for the U.S. because that’s when it reached us and the death toll for Covid in the U.S is over 135,000) during last year’s and this year’s flu season, starting from October 2019 and ending in April 2020, there were 62,000 deaths in the US. If you want full year statistics, 79,000 people have died of the flu spanning from 2017 to 2018. And in the U.S. between 2017 and 2018, there were between 46,000 and 95,000 deaths. These diseases are not even comparable in their death count. It is ironic that how you call people sheep, yet use statements spoon fed to you by someone who is not a scientist, and doesn’t have specifications in the scientific field.

    The bandana test was with a single layer of material.
    The mask that performed the best was multiple layers of material.
    The tighter the cloth weave the better the filtration.
    With the above information, make your bandana. Use a tight weave cloth and fold to create multiple layers. And you should be good to go.

      The point of masks is to stop droplets, why the hell would you take it off for the only reason you’re supposed to wear it in the first place? Also you don’t have to wear it all day unless mandated at your job and just when social distancing is impossible in many public stores. Limit your outside travel, make shorter grocery trips. You can’t do what you used to in the same manner, think beyond your self.
