I'm working on a couple inline projects. One is a stroked 2.5 Jeep 4 cylinder with a Ford 351 Cleveland head on top. The other one is stroked 4.0 Jeep with two 351 Cleveland heads cut and welded together. I have to get a custom cams made for these builds. The 2.5 needs to have the lobes swapped intake for exhaust on cylinders 2&4. The 4.0 needs them swapped on cylinders 2,3&6. Thanks for interviewing and spreading the word.
The AMC 4.0 is one of the best motors ever made.
@@enginegremlin I think that they have been doing strokers for quite a while and also porting the head. Unfortunately there just isn't enough room with intake and exhaust on the same side. My thought is to start with a better head in the first place instead of the stock head. The bore spacing is the same and the head bolt holes line up fore and aft. I have to move the head holes in 3/16" on each side.
