Captain Ovi comes in the clutch yet again! He can only score?!?!? Nah.
Yet again? Well i havent yet seen the clutch ovechkin past the second round but we'll see
In the series, he beat the Pens with his game winning goal in game 3 and now this. How many times has he outscored Crosby in their series? All but this one and Crosby's only advantage was that empty netter point. But if you disregard garbage points, Ovi has come up big for his club yet again.

Yes and no. In DC it's a different thing when the Capitals get last change, in Pittsburgh it's a different story. Ovechkin-Kuznetsov-Vrana was good earlier in the season as long as they were in the offensive zone, once they lost the puck they would get pinned in the defensive zone. I do agree though that it should never have been DSP, probably should have been Stephenson or Oshie in game 4.

Holtby stole that game. Trotz finally trusted youth (Vrana) and got rewarded, big time.

God i wanna believe caps win this series. But they left way too many pens open in the slot. Cant play with fire every game. Plus once again stupid pleanties.
1) Letang is without question the worst defensive D man I've ever seen.
2) After Vrana scores several gigantic goals in the playoffs, Capitals trade him (and other assets) for Mantha. Awful, awful trade. One of the worst trades in hockey history. Mantha evaporated in the playoffs and I don't expect anything more from him in the future, bum status.
