But this is *awesome* - also got them limited t-shirt... dammit I didn't even get a shirt in Offenbach😆.
Oh wow, NightDemon actually sound quite a bit like "Battalions of Fear"-80s Blind Guardian😳- clearly an exceedingly well fitting opener!
Imaginations was also the opener in Of, though we didn't get "Secrets of the American Gods".
Though I suppose to get the ancient "Lord of the Rings" in a live version was an okay trade, it's the third "Bard's Song" in a way so...
And kudos to all the US fans here - the sing-along is of great, nay European!😉, quality!
Though I have to wonder why they didn't do "Traveller in Time", jumping on the "Dune Train". 😆
And "Nightfall" was awesome as usual, again Euro-level crowd participation!

Looks like a great show, you must have had a great time. I'm not familiar with any of these bands but was that Johan van Stratum on bass for Blind Guardian? I know him from Stream of Passion, VUUR, The Gentle Storm etc. He's amazing.
I can’t say for sure, but I did see that he is their bass player, so I believe so. I am still learning the songs and albums. I can say that they are fantastic live. If you get the opportunity, you should check them out.
Alright, definitely a few surprises with the setlist, I am a bit envious you guys got Secrets of the American Gods. I hope that, alongside filming for us , you could enjoy the experience for yourself. It's really cool that you got the limited edition t-shirt! And now I really want to see them for a fourth time, because I suddenly have the need to scream "Valhalla! Deliverance!" at people 😂 but I think everyone will agree, another Blind Guardian concert is always a good idea!
We had a great time at the show. I love that they had a special shirt for the event. It’s funny you mentioned Valhalla. It’s an ear worm as it is, but I feel like the chorus went on for a half hour. It was my wife’s fav BG song going into the show. On the ride home, we couldn’t get it out of our heads. Even today, I woke up singing it and she looked like she was going to punch me : ) All in all it was a great show and we had a great time. I saw a lot of Kamelot shirts in the crowd, so I assume I will see all of the same people on Thursday for that show.
You will know if it's the same people when they show up still singing Valhalla. After the show in Berlin last year someone on reddit told me how they saw a guy wearing a BG shirt on the Museum island the next day and they both started singing it. I should have been there 😂 When I saw the band in 2011 they played both And Then There Was Silence and Wheel of Time, I think these are their longest songs and we got them back to back. Don't see it happening again, but who knows, it would be awesome.
It’s funny a guy (complete stranger) I met at the Helloween show last year saw me in the merch line at BG and we started talking again. It turns out we are both going to Kamelot this week and Powerwolf in Sept. I won’t be surprised if I see him again at Electric Callboy and then Judas Priest and Sabaton next month. It’s very weird seeing a stranger that you recognize. Then again this market is pretty small for these kinds of bands over here. I should just get Matt’s Mosh Pit shirts or something to at least attract subscribers. Anyway on Thursday at Kamelot, I will tell out Valhalla and see how many responses I get 😄
I was at Fillmore last Thursday, and let me just say their live performances are really are as legendary as everyone says. Gotta appreciate how they didn't rely on props or staged antics; just musical talent and Hansi's storytelling-like performance. They topped my experience with Kamelot last August.
Unfortunately they ran out of shirts my size when I went to the merch stand, which was a shame because those were actually cool designs. Though I gotta thank that guy who bought me those $15 stickers; sucks that he left early during the Bard Song.
They were Amazing. You give me hope, I am seeing Kamelot next week with Ad Infinitum and Seven Spires. I can’t wait!!

Remembers me at the Blind Guardian show I was last autum. Blind Guardian is such an awesome band. And they are my "local heroes", they come from a neighbour town, round about 20 km from me. 🙂
Now I want to visit a Blind Guardian Concert again. 😂
But first I visit two other concert. Like I told you in 2 weeks I will see "Feuerschwanz". Next week I will see a band called "Ohrenfeindt". It's a small but awesome band from Hamburg-St.Pauli, they sound a little bit like AC/DC but singing in german 😂 So I wanna recommend to you their latest single: "Ohrenfeindt - Südlich von Mitternacht".

@@MattsMoshPit1 Do you know "Xandria", who is currently on tour in America as a special guest for "Wind Rose". Do you know what the reviews of the concerts are? If you don't know them, both are great bands too. The albums by the italian band "Wind Rose" are also mostly based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and "Xandria" is a german symphonic metal band.
I have seen the names but have not heard them yet. I will definitely add them to my list. What songs should I start off with?
