As one of those magical beings who does book crafts my suggestions for getting books without feeling too bad about destroying them are to ask your local library/used book store if they could set aside damaged books for you. That way your giving a new life to a book that was destined to be thrown away. Also, any old encyclopedias/dictionarys/textbooks are great for this because they often times can not be donated.
we did book things like this at school one time. and we printed out pages of random story books (most of them were in latin) so that we didn’t commit book murder.
Me coming here after re-watching Jesse paint his books, to give it ‘sprayed edges’. Jesse you did incapacitated many books... Don't act like you didn't. 👀
let's start a petition for wall hooks which hold books
13 minutes of Jesse’s soul being hurt; is it bad that I found this fun to watch 😂?
You could always print out book pages that way you aren't ruining a book but still have a fun book craft.
The vintage one has made me realize that one day the books on our shelves are going to be vintage books (':
I'm actually making the book pumpkin (2nd one) for my wedding centerpieces so I'm cool with book art.
I also have mixed feelings when it comes to this kind of book art. Like I love it but at the same time I wouldn’t do it myself. Nice sweater btw!
My friends who do this go to thrift stores and get a bunch of 50c/dollar harlequinn romance or other cheap books
The book cut-ins at
I like all the black & white stickers on your laptop! Also I agree about the book spine bookmarks hurting more than the previous book page bookmarks
Yeah I'm definitely guilty of wanting to make everything in my life about books
I know you’ve said you’re not crafty but it would be so much fun to see you do some of these crafts!
The serotonin I get when I see a new Jesse video 🤩🤩
I’m one of those who takes books and takes them apart and rips up pages. But, I always get the books from a charity shop (uk thrift store) or the pound shop, so they’re usually books that have had a life beforehand, or will never be read, which I think is the saddest thing for a book to never tell it’s story. You can also get books from the library, ones that they are just trying to get rid of. Again, sad. At first I really struggled with tearing up a book, but if you look at it as, it’s not the only copy of this story, it’s going on to live a life it couldn’t imagine, as works of art in a completely different way. And surely it’s better they are used than burnt to death, or worse, never even picked up and opened. I would never go and buy a brand new book for the purposes of dismantling it, that’s pointless and costly, but to reuse and repurpose older ones is great 😄 Book pages are beautiful and lovely to work with 😊

Making lists makes me happy , gives me an illustration that atleast something in my life is organised and later when I fail to stick to the list it the quickest way for me to feel horrible . But will I still make lists ? Yes I will ....
