Hiding the screws but adding a pull tab 😂😂😂
Great review Sebastian! Just wondering why that Samsung monitor is being used though? Don't you have a 34" ultra-wide that usually sits where the Samsung monitor is? Thought that would be better to show off productivity features.
The thought was to test 4K video playback (or something), and the Samsung was handy. Clearly that never made it into the video.
The mini PC aka nook PCs are getting really good now! Ryan what is the music called your playing? My wife likes to listen to same type of music!
I had external floppy disk drives in the 80s (SF314) which I am pretty sure were larger than this mini PC.
The temps look good.
The one thing I noticed is with video editing performance while higher numbers than the Intel one you showed, the difference was quite small. Also the Intel iGPU has support for more codecs which should make the editing on the timeline experience a more smooth one. At least in theory as I never owned either of these computers.
The only two things I will say I definitely do not like about this pc is first the color. I want bright colorful colors. Orange, yellow, red, even blue, just give me something which isn't black, silver (including "rose gold") or even white.
Second, the difficulty in reach the CPU cooling solution for maintenance. I don't know why almost every single mini PC manufacturer does this. If you use these often then sooner or later you re going to have to clean them, if not repaste them. Why so difficult? Meh
Thanks for the video.
But can it play crysis?!?
Wow that is awful. Please dust regularly. You only have to pick out the tiny rubber plugs and undo some screws. So many others have magnetic covers.
The wifi is absolutely shocking, really bad, five metres from the router, its downloading in kilobits. If I use a mobile hotspot off my tablet right beside its fine. Dunno if it's just mine or because it's a metal box.😮 Otherwise it's amazing, emulator monster
I wonder if the wifi antenna cables were securely connected? I ended up changing out the WiFi card and put in a Wi-Fi 6E AX210NGW (less than $20 on Amazon) in my SER8 and it performs much better now.
@@mowcowbell Sounds good! Might have to give that a go, thanks for letting me know! 👍
I didn't have any wifi and bluetooth problems and I could still maintain a decent connection past 75ft
I have been looking for a mini PC. I want to use it to put Linux on it and just browse the internet with being tracked by windows advertising
The SER8 is way overkill for a Linux build. You should look at mini PC's in the $250-350 price range.
Nice review 👍
Thanks! There will be more like it
