Some people have no clue what salvation is about. It has nothing to do with race.
Martha, Martha -- oops, I mean, "Maria." You missed what is most important. "You know the Gentiles lord it over them" (Matthew 20:20-28). Don't look down on us for eating His body -- we are taking Communion with Him.
For a group of people taught that they deserved chattel slavery, deserved lynching and shootings and disenfranchisement, hearing Yeshua's gospel and blood lineage is indeed inspiring.
Jesus did come for all of us. And it's encouraging to know that JESUS HAD FOUR FEMALE AFRICAN ANCESTORS. This knowledge breaks inferiority complexes, demolishes racist strongholds, and allows us to "Take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5). That's the kinda slavery I like.

People need to be saved from sin, and racism has a lot to do with sin.

Race I believe was a social construct developed by white people.. who are upset about the very thing they invented .. used to produce a hierarchy amongst people…God created all the colors .. tribes.. of people groups.. sad to see what human beings have done to the Word of God for their own selfish reasons

I was just listening to the book of numbers today. I was trying to get to the part about Balaam talking to his donkey because I couldn’t remember why he did it. BUT your message is so important. And needs to be repeated again and again until we all understand. The color of our skin is not indicative of our worth. And if even a little part of you thinks that it is , your apart of the problem. God shows no partiality. On our best day we are sinners saved by grace through faith. It needed to be said and you said it Jonathan!! Thank you thank you Thank you!

And thank you for bringing some light to this issue. Because it has been a sensitive issue in The Church. And we have been tip toeing around it for a very long time.
We have been conditioned to believe a lot of things that are not necessarily true about this life and walk in Christ.
When I came into the truth, it was challenging for me to process this, because I couldn't believe that there would be people who would make it their business to falsify history and hide vital information that is deeply tied to our history and ancestry.
The lineages of Ham and Shem do host lineages of dark skinned people. You disclosed the meaning of Shem's name which is "dusky." And dusky means "dark skinned." And Israel is in north east Africa. We have been taught to see Israel as part of the Middle East. But if there is a middle east, then where is the middle west? And where is the middle north and middle south?
So the reason why Miriam and Aaron didn't approve of Zipporah being married to Moses, because she came from a people who promoted pagan practices. This was not about skin color. Because Moses himself was a Hebrew man of black descent.

Thank you for this explanation! I just read, “Did God curse black people?” by Dr. Frederick K. C. Price. He also explained that Noah cursed only Canaan, not Ham and this was not a curse for every black person, and it had nothing to do with skin color. Your explanation was so thorough in tying it into to the genealogy of Jesus.

The Easton's Bible Dictionary is also a good source to use for names and places meaning.
This needs to be in all schools..
