(舉例)⋯⋯許多人被綁在柱子上燒死
才能夠證實地球是圓的
(For example)... Many people had to be burned alive tied to poles before Earth is proven to be round.
佛祖已經告訴你這個宇宙有南方部洲
東方部洲西方部洲
Buddha already told you this universe has Southern, Eastern, and Western continents.
你們現在地球的宇宙就是在銀河系裡面的南瞻部洲
The universe you're in now, Earth, is in the Southern continent of the Milky Way.
銀河系中心就是須彌山
The center of the Milky Way is Mount Sumeru.
可是如果做2600年前跟當時的人說這些
當時的人會聽得懂嗎
But if you tell people about this back to 2600 years ago, would they understand?
你甚至跟他說你爸爸出去打獵手機拿出來就能看到你爸爸打到什麼
Even you tell them when your dad go hunting and you can see what he caught on a small box (cellphone),
他會相信嗎
would they believe it ?
他不會相信
No, they wouldn't.
所以當時釋迦牟尼佛說有一個世界叫西方極樂世界
So, Shakyamuni Buddha spoke of a world called the Western Pure Land.
師父現在跟你解釋 有一個世界叫西方極樂星球 有一個世界叫東方極樂星球
Now Master explain to you, there are Western Pure Planet and Eastern Pure Planet.
你們以後可以發願投生去那裡
因為那邊科學比較進步醫學比較發達
哲學更好
You can aspire to be reborn there because they have more advanced science, better medicines and philosophy.
但是你們現在這個地球這個娑婆世界
所做的飛行器有沒有辦法飛這麼遠
But can the aircraft made here on Earth now fly that far distance?
沒辦法
No.
所以科學能否證明未知的存在
無法
Thus, can science prove the existence of the unknown? No.
這些祖師大德傳下來的東西
The teachings passed down by these venerable Dharma masters
科學只能證明這些祖師說的是真的
Science can only prove what these Dhrama masters said are true.
說的落落長不知道你能吸收多少呢
I wonder how much you can absorb after the long talking.
雖然師父知道你很聰明
I know you're smart;
但是越聰明越糟糕
however, the smarter you are, the worse it gets.
你已經依恃你的大腦太久了
You've relied on your brain for too long.
