Field Notes were a struggle in this one at first - it was really tight! - but this case has stretched out a bit since then. I don’t like Field Notes in here because they’re generally not especially fountain pen friendly!
I have a violet Galen Leather pencil bag. I was a bit disappointed by the color because it isn’t as vibrant as what it looked like on my screen when I saw it on their website. The bag functions well though. I saw your Clever Clove stickers. I collect Clever Clove pins with the hedgehog and the bunny on them. They are so cute!
I was nervous about their colors being different than I expected. Every time I order I tell myself to get something different. And here we are. 😂 I love The Clever Clove! Heidi makes such cute stuff. I love pins but I don’t actually use them much. So I stick with stickers! (Pun not intended but appreciated.) I’m so tempted by her spring collection, especially the Anne of Green Gables stuff! How do you use your pins?
I have a few pieces from them as well, they really make great products. I love my slip’n zip too! I got mine in the natural leather as well. It’s such a great design. My slip’n zip is in natural leather. I have a 10 pen case in the green color. My more recent acquisition is the A5 zip folio in the Smokey Grey color. I think all are beautiful colors, but my fave is my grey folio.
I am LOVING the slip ‘n’ zip! I just love taking out the pen tray (?) and sitting it on my desk! My pens are at my fingertips and also safe and secure! I really dithered about what leather to get. I love all of the colors! But I just kept coming back to the undyed. But I would for sure like something from them in green at some point! It’s gorgeous!

Hello! Yes! There are LOTS of refills you can get to fit inside your Retro. What you want to look for is a “Parker style refill.” I use the Uni JetStream variety (I have both 0.7 and 0.5) in my pen that stays with my planner. But I also like the Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 ballpoint refill, the Parker Quink ballpoint refills, and the Parker and Ohto Flash Dry gel refills are also good. There are many options that will fit in a Retro, it just depends on what you like! The Jetstream ones are probably some of the most expensive, but I prefer them for my planner. If you want to see a big list, Google the Well-Appointed Desk Refill Guide. Ana has done a great job laying out what you’re looking for and what your options are! I hope you can find something you like!
