Lay was Imitating Christina Confalonieri, an italian born south korean broadcaster that was popular on tv during the mid 2010s. At the time absolutely everyone knew her voice, hes pretty spot on tbh 😂

Chen has also done a fabulous cover of John Lennon's imagine, you'll come to it.
The first time I saw EXO performing I said they are the Korean Beatles, years later theu did this cover , I was so happy that my dreams came true , absolutely Lay sounding the same like the Beatles
Baekhyun once did a cover of Hey Jude on some award ceremony, in 2016 or 2017!

Exo doesnt need to try to b funny, they r naturally hilarious. If u r surprise by theanimal sound they suddenly made, i guess u will b surprise in the latter era, what they did suring fanmeeting. It was chaos.
The way I'm having second hand embarrassment from their early hairstyles 🤦🏻♀️😂 since you guys checked out this performance then I'd also recommend them singing "Almost Paradise" ost which was a really iconic ost at that time already sung by T-Max. Almost Paradise is honestly as iconic as "Stay with me" ost. I'd also recommend some Exo duet of that time like Baekhyun x Chen's "I really didn't know" and D.O. x Chen's "The last time".

OMG yes. They have good covers during their rookie era. That 'Almost Paradise' and 'I Like You' is my most repeat. But the covers in Immortal songs were good too!

Ah, the infamous Lay changing hairstyles mid-performance video. I don’t know if you noticed, but some parts had Lay with a wig like here, 2:45 , and the other parts, his hair was normal. 😂

Wow, I'm so happy you found this legendary cover by EXO!! As a big Beatles fan myself, I would say they did such an incredible job singing ALL MY LOVING! The judges and crowd loved them! Needless to say, the boys went home with the top prize that day!
As can be observed, LAY was doing the chords, but D.O. and CHEN were merely using their guitars as props.

Nooo, At that time neither Chen nor D.O played the guitar, today I know that D.O does know how to play the guitar (a comrade of D.O.'s army said that during a break from D.O Chanyeol he left his guitar to practice and took it to the army) Chen did not know it...

At that time, in my country had a band named The Changcuters, the band members had the haircut like this (yeah basically the band love the Beatles & Elvis so they 'imitate' their Style). So, when i saw Lay in this appearence i laughed so hard. I had reblogging so much in Tumblr (i used Tumblr at that time and that's my landfield for fangirling), so sad i deleted my account 😭😭😭😭😭 i miss that golden time 😢😭
If you noticed that they barely play the instrument it's because it's a variety show. They were competing for the best cover. Other groups even cross-dressed to do a cover iconic girl groups' songs.
It's all mainly for fun instead of anything serious. That's why they wore those iconic The Beatles wigs 😂

I’m one of the people that have been asking for album reviews from the very early stages of this channel, because in Exo’s case that is one of the most amazing things about them - their discorgaphy is fantastic. And making whole albums is now almost a lost art, when so many artists around the world just release singles/collabs/minis - it takes tremendous ampunt of work to make a cohesive and strong album from first to last track. and Exo is so damn good at that. We are not asking them to spend extra time for Exo, album reaction isnt any more time consuming than the other content they react to. One full album is about 40min music. If split into two parts like most reactors do, that’s each about 25-30min reaction. I find it strange that they prioritize random contents like old promo interviews and the wolf drama with Luhan over listening to the actual music. I would be very happy to see even just 1 album listen on Saturday and part 2 on Sunday instead of 6-8 old videos. Dont get me wrong, those old contents are fun, but as fans of an artist, shouldnt the actual music be the priority first, and funny contents secondary?

@@M-de-ValeI get what you're saying, but the point of the Exospectives is to get a feel for what witnessing that era was actually like, not just the album itself. I've never seen any other reactors attempt something like this and I think it's really cool that they go through the effort. If they were journalists for NME or something I would agree with you that the albums should be prioritized, but that isn't what they're doing here and besides, there's no deadline to this. They're not gonna run out of time before they get to the album. 🙂

if i'm not mistaken this show was supposed to be some sort of fun competition between boy idol groups where they need to perform as the opposite gender like crossdressing and dancing to girl group songs. EXO performed after Vixx. Vixx performed So Hot by Wonder Girls in dresses, skirts and high heels hahaha. meanwhile EXO chose to perform as The Beatles. basically, they didn't crossdress and dance to girl group songs 😅i think that's why the male judges kept on hitting the red buzzer because they want to see exo perform girl group songs. only that lady judge enjoyed the performance hahaha
I don't think anyone was supposed to crossdress, like as a requirement. I think it was just supposed to be fun & entertaining performances, mostly covers, and a kinda shortcut to being fun back then was to crossdress. I think the button was actually a good thing? The female judge essentially hit it a bunch at the beginning so she could pay attention during the rest, while the two guys just happily hit it during the whole thing. I think I also remember both EXO and VIXX winning?~^.^
