compared to cs where there are tons of pro players, here in quake i feel like they're just one big family you keep seeing the same players over and over because the playbase is that small
back in the day it wasn't small at all, the thing is quake is mostly played in 1v1 games while cs is played 5v5 teams, so it is normal to see more pros on the scene

Any race driver would rather race while in a comfortable seat. Any quaker/FPS-player would rather play with comfortable game appearance. It's not a question of weakness more than it is a question of common sense. I'm not mad, in fact I'm just wondering if you ever played an FPS at a higher level before, if you can say all that :)
@Twistingnether I can't say what would be in that situation before I'm there - maybe i would do this, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't. In this situation I'm in now - I think playing like this shows a weakness, it's just proof that sometimes these "skilled" players are not skilled enough or simply lack confidence - again, reason not enough skill. But whatever, I have my own opinion and no one's gonna change it, just don't be mad if I insulted your idol. PEACE
@sttate I find the game less distracting and sometimes smoother with the graphics turned all the way down. Quake is an old-school game, when gameplay made the game, not graphics. I couldn't care less for graphics if the game is shyte. Just look at Deus Ex: Human Revolution - seemingly good graphics plastered over a shitty game. I've played more Dwarf Fortress than any of the games released in the last 5 years.
Type it with two L, maaan. His nickname was originally generated from a simple 'killer' in the gameclumbs. He was too young and too fast ...but literary too dumb to create a cool name ...so they made it instead of him.
